The Wolf

[There’re hundreds of fans stood outside a building, waving signs and photographs. They’re awaiting the arrival of inFamous, Old School Wrestling’s latest signing.]

[As the door opens and inFamous walks out with a microphone, the fans go bananas.]

[inFamous] “Yo, listen up…”

[The crowd cheer.]

[inFamous] “Ya boy inFamous debuts at Lambs to the Slaughter. Check my new single, it’s called The Wolf.”

[He nods to his manager who arranges the beat.]

“THE WOLF”

Listen close to this tale, let me spin you a rhyme,

‘Bout a wolf in sheep’s clothing, a deceptive paradigm.

In the heart of the forest, where shadows dance and play,

Lurked a predator in disguise, biding time to slay.

Oh, beware the wolf in sheep’s guise,

With honeyed words and deceitful eyes.

In the dance of the forest, where the lambs graze free,

Not all that glitters is what it seems to be.

In the moon’s gentle glow, the wolf made his move,

Cloaked in wool, his intentions smooth.

He mingled with the lambs, his hunger concealed,

A treacherous act, a cunning shield.

Day by day, the wolf played his part,

But beneath the wool beat a savage heart.

Until the night when the truth was revealed,

And the lambs’ innocence was cruelly peeled.

Oh, beware the wolf in sheep’s guise,

With honeyed words and deceitful eyes.

In the dance of the forest, where the lambs graze free,

Not all that glitters is what it seems to be.

With a snarl and a leap, the wolf shed his disguise,

And the forest echoed with the lambs’ anguished cries.

For in the heart of the predator, no mercy was found,

As he claimed his prey on the blood-soaked ground.

So heed this warning, as you wander the night,

For not all who approach wear the face of the light.

Beware the wolf in sheep’s guise, lest you fall prey,

In the dance of deception, where shadows hold sway.

Oh, beware the wolf in sheep’s guise,

With honeyed words and deceitful eyes.

In the dance of the forest, where the lambs graze free,

Not all that glitters is what it seems to be.

[As the fans cheer madly, inFamous drops the microphone and walks back inside the building, joined by his manager.]

[Manager Stevie] “That was fucking dope, Eddie.”

[inFamous] “These mother fuckers have no idea, do they Stevie? They out there cheerin’ my name, not realizin’ they’re lambs to the slaughter too.”

[Stevie grimaces.]

[Manager Stevie] “They all paid premiums to see you, man.”

[inFamous] “Yeah they fuckin’ did.”

[inFamous smirks.]

[inFamous] “Sell ‘em merch, sell ‘em tickets, sell ‘em albums. My stock is about to go through the roof, homie.”

[The rapper walks away, leaving his manager to look at a colleague with a sigh and his eyes widened.]

[Manager Stevie]He really is a wolf…

[inFamous hears that.]

[inFamous] “You fuckin’ right and I’m hungry, boys. My plate ain’t full ‘til Pandemonium.”

[He sneers.]

[inFamous] And I’ll make em famous.
