Turn Up the Heat

The Burned ManPromo, The Burned Man

“I recall one time where I attempted to make the Thanksgiving dinner for my family. At the time, my son was too young to help and my wife was sick, so I had to do everything myself.”

“I wasn’t exactly a great cook. The most I could handle at that time was a simple sandwich. Having me make turkey, stuffing, pumpkin pie, and everything else was a recipe for disaster.”

“Things started out smoothly enough. I was focusing on one thing at a time, only shifting my attention when I felt like I had to. I managed to get a few side dishes done that way.”

“However, I realized soon enough that I was going too slow. Dinner was approaching fast and I had to act quickly if I wanted everything ready to eat.”

“So I did. I put the turkey in the oven in a high heat and started making the pumpkin pie. Once I had the filling set, I placed it in the oven in order to make the stuffing. While I was doing that, I forgot about how high I set the oven and it caught on fire.”

“I had to turn off the gas and extinguish the flames before they spread through the house. Thankfully, it didn’t get any worse than a ruined stove. However, the result was a turkey that was not cooked all the way through and a burnt pumpkin pie.”

“Needless to say, that Thanksgiving was an absolute catastrophe.”

“It did remind me of something that I needed to know at the time. When cooking, it’s important to use the proper amount of heat and the right amount of time to make sure the food comes out perfectly.”

“I’d imagine you had to remember this lesson the hard way as well, Anton. You had to cook a Thanksgiving dinner yourself at some point too.”

“There’s a lot of chaos when making sure everything is supposed to turn out a certain way. The best laid plans often go awry, after all. That applies to this upcoming match as well as cooking a Thanksgiving dinner.”

“You’ll be so focused on trying to weaken Narcissa and Aurora that you’ll forget about me. Someone you’ve shoved to the back of your mind and leave there for the entirety of the match.”

“By the time you’ll remember about me, it’ll be too late. I’ll have already burned your oven to a crisp and ruined all of your best laid plans.”

“You might’ve wrestled with multiple people before, thinking that you can handle when things get hectic in your proverbial kitchen. However, you’ve been promoted to a station chef since then. You’re cooking with the big fish now.”

“Try to keep up. The heat is set to it’s apex and the turkey’s cooking fast. I’m no turkey. I’m the pie you forgot to adjust the heat for before putting it in. If you lose focus on me, you might just get burned.”

“See you in the kitchen. Try not to set the place on fire.”
