“What is the human relationship with fire?” 

“For years they longed to control it, hell even tame it. And up until this very day it has proven to be a beast that takes lives. And yet people cannot live without it. They huddle around it for warmth, they use it for light, they use it to feed themselves. But the next day the fire could be the one feasting on their souls.”

“And it all begins with a few careless acts”

“You, Destructo you took a fire that had raged inside you for so long and opted to make it your mission statement. The sole thing that drove you. The one thing that kept you going and kept throwing punch after punch. When people wonder why you keep fighting it’s because that fire that rages deep within you keeps burning telling you never to stop.”

“That very same fire, you have lost control of it. And it sees fit to take you alive. Through your own careless acts.” 

“You have been unable to differentiate friend from foe, and you strike at all with the same venom and ferocity. You fear that an outstretched hand may soon strike you across the face so you strike first in response. Not wishing to be harmed. And so your fire has gone from guiding light to blinding force. 

“Thus you have become a pillar of fire. Untamed, uncontrollable, And most importantly unpredictable. You have lost all inhibitions except for knowing that you are moving forward with your life, and that you are inflicting pain on the people around you. Careless act stacks upon careless act. And it will not stop until everything ash. The world, the people, and even you.” 

“So many times these careless acts have affected Nature. A singular spark turning into a full on wildfire. And so as I see the pillar of fire named Destructo marching towards me. I know that I must snuff out the flames. I know a singular tree must not be reduced to ash.” 

“I know what you are for I had already outstretched a hand and I was burned. I was careless once and I became the subject of your ire. So it’s clear that I only have one thing that I can do to end this.” 

“Break the cycle, and snuff out the pillar of fire known as Destructo. No more careless acts can be tolerated.”
