“As above, so below…”
A brightly painted backdrop of a blue sky with happy, puffy clouds. The smiling face of Mister Sunshine pokes out of a hole cut out of the bright sun.
“In the land of the Sunshine Club, my little Sunbeams, our happy little Sun watches over us from above. He’s always shining and the more it illuminates, the more it shows the beauty of our world for all to see.”
“To Arcadia, I am that shining Sun. A constant source of caring, warmth and light who spreads my happy little sunshine wherever I go. And as above, up high as the Sunshine in the sky, Arcadia looks beautiful.”
His smile fades.
“At least… it did.”
Sunshine looks down, smoke filling the space below him.
“Now as I look down, my view is blocked. Like sunshine trying to break through a layer of smog, the light cannot seem to get through.”
“Something has crept into the air to stop the sun from shining. What is that smog? It’s the pollution of lies, children. Lies by nasty little monkeys who need to be taught a lesson in kindness, clouding our perfect sky! It’s terribubble!”
“Nox blocks the sun’s rays with a thick layer of unnatural smoke that he uses to bend the minds of anybody he can. He’s always crafting new brews to try out on the happy little minds of poor Arcadians. They breathe it in and, poof, the sunshine vanishes from their lives.”
“Suddenly, his smoke fills the air and my light can no longer shine.”
“Klaus Way has his own way of blocking the sun. Whatever light may burst through the smog is blocked by the big top of his circus. Within that tent, he can tell his people whatever he wants and they will listen… For they have forgotten what the warmth of the sun really feels like. Instead, they just live a cold, sad life of following orders.”
“But every now and then, as I shine from above, I catch a glimmer of light reflected back at me through the smog.”
The smile returns to Sunshine’s face.
“I see it in the simple smile of those who still believe in sunlight. In the warmth of hearts filled with cheer and kind actions of those who put others first. ”
“I saw it in Aurora, Sunbeams. She stands against those naughty little monkeys blowing smoke into the sky. It is through bravery like hers that I keep smiling.”
“I see the light shining. Not from above, but from within. Arcadians that smile along with me and still believe the sun shines, even when it can’t be seen.”
The smoke clears and Sunshine’s smile widens.
“No matter how dark the sky becomes, Sunbeams, or how much smog little monkeys like Nox and Mister Way pollute our sky with, it cannot block out the sun that shines from within us.”
“Aurora and Sunshine. We will show how to smile through dark clouds even on the darkest of days, my Sunbeams… and Arcadia will see just how bright the Sun Shines, friends.”
