Quote from Nero on 14 August 2025, 07:09TOP THREE MOMENTS
1. For Old Times’ Sake – An intriguing way to open the show. We’re clearly not meant to know how Doom and Nox ended up in this apparent capture scenario, which leaves us with plenty of questions. Where are they? How did they get there? Who’s behind it? The bigger mystery is whether this is picking up just before Ring King or if we’re getting a glimpse much further ahead - perhaps even towards the close of Volume III.
2. Not Today – I’m really enjoying the recent Tombstone-Kincaid segments. Last week revealed in the present day that Kincaid has been a wanted man for quite some time, while this week we saw what looked like a previous attempt by ’Stone to kill him and ferry the body across to the other side. The whole thing has a real Final Destination vibe to it - and I’m all in for it.
3. Message Received – Crediting one of my own here. This was a fascinating turn in Nero’s story. Driven by revenge over the abduction of his wife and child, Nero immediately targeted his prime suspect, Ezekiel Graves. It’s the first time we’ve seen Nero this aggressive, which suggests Redgrave’s actions have unlocked something we didn’t know was there. Graves insists he’s not involved and is even offering to help his biggest rival. On paper, that’s a real stop the press moment - but I wouldn’t trust the Reverend as far as I could throw him. Something smells way off.
BURNING QUESTIONS
Where are Doom and Nox in the future - and who orchestrated their capture?
How long can Kincaid keep outrunning the Ferryman?
Is Graves truly willing to help his sworn enemy?
Should Gemini have accepted Harold Attano’s help?
Is Jackson Cade starting to embrace the idea of becoming Arcadia’s next Baron?
MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK
Gemini / Seen – Plenty of strong promos this week, but I really liked how Laner played with the photo/vantage point metaphor on Klaus Way - setting it up, then turning the lens back on him. Classic domino promo work. This week’s match-up between us should be a good'un.
HAVE YOUR SAY
Big week for Nero, progressing in the Ring King tournament against a tough opponent while also pushing forward the storyline surrounding the kidnapping of his family. Alongside the Graves thread, I’m curious about where Jackson Cade’s head is at after learning about Redgrave’s involvement in Lucien’s family’s abduction. Normally, Cade would be disgusted by something like this - but could the lure of Zeus, Ares, and the possibility of becoming Arcadia’s most powerful man be clouding his judgment? Intriguing times ahead.

Quote from Klaus Way on 15 August 2025, 02:11TOP THREE MOMENTS:
- I think "Force" sets up a great arc between the two Mariachi. What is interesting is this idea that Caido thinks the gift Muerte has doesn't truly belong to him as it was bestowed upon him. But surely if you are gifted something it quite exactly DOES belong to you?
- Graves and Nero have such an interesting connection now, and I really liked the more human side of Graves that just wanted to help a man get his family back, regardless of what was going on between them. Whether or not that is genuine or he was just scared for his safety is another discussion...
- The Heir III is a lot of fun, with Jackson Cade accepting (at least for now) his role in the hierarchy of Arcadia, and agreeing to shadow Ares to learn more about Arcadia and it's people. I think this is definitely going to be the big story of the rest of the season.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
- It's not really a question but I find the chemistry (pun intended) between Nox and Doom so interesting. It's certainly a more interesting mix following all that has happened between them. I am really interested in seeing where it goes.
- I think Ayame will turn out to be in the Kingdom after all. Doth she protest too much?
- What has Redgrave already set in motion?
MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:
Go away Laner and let me progress. Seen.
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Not For You built on what we had last week. I like that there was this moment of almost connection between Destructo and Michaela, only for Destructo to mess it up by mentioning Harold. It is a very Destructo-ish thing to do as it is both childlike in naivety, and also very much something a man with big daddy issues would default to.
Klaus' brutality at the end of the scene, and the message left in Destructo's own blood, really make me want to see how far this ruthless streak goes.

Quote from Nox on 15 August 2025, 04:03TOP THREE MOMENTS:
1. Smile Surgery – I feel like the dilapidated remnants of Sunshine’s set is a bit of a metaphor for how badly Sunshine has decayed mentally. I also think this is all boiling down to Sunshine finding himself again, seeing that Narcissa and Zeus want him to be a piece of propaganda. You can only push an unstable man so far, and Sunshine’s already been pushed quite a bit.
2. Message Received – Jesus, kidnapping a man’s family. So many questions arise from this. Primarily, who is the culprit? Is Graves playing Lucien (Nero), or is Redgrave pulling the strings, and in all this, if Redgrave is the culprit, does Cade know anything about it? Just what the fuck is going on here?
3. Will The Real Felix Foley Please Stand Up – Just damn friendly Felix flips to furious Foley, fervently flogging false fry-cook Anton Savor. That leads me to wonder if Scissors is gone or if he was just absorbed into Foley, and if we’re going to a twisted version of the Puppeteer. How far will Felix go in these moments? Can he, will he take a life?
BURNING QUESTIONS:
Who’s responsible for the Kidnapping of Lucien’s family?
How much longer will it be before this Klaus, Destructo, and Michaela situation truly implodes?
Who’s going to capture Doom and Nox? Can they escape?
How far will Felix go with his new found violence?
MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:
All Heroes Die – I loved the framing of the comic books and how Brian progressed this up to the point where he points to Captain Arcadia, essentially stating You’re going to come at the king and you will die too.
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Nox – How is all of this going to play out? Who’s going to capture Nox and Doom? Will they live? What the hell is going to happen here? Will Nox and Doom actually be able to get along? Seeing this new side of Felix, I have to ask is it him... or... is some more sinister version? I am just intrigued and want to know what’s going to happen next.
Harold – Man, Harold is just trying to atone for what he’s done. When you look at the Wars we’ve had in Arcadia these last few years you can almost trace it back to Jiro and his death at the hands of Harold. A man who looking back on what he’s done and the part he’s played wants to just show that he’s something more than a death dealer. I love this side of Harold, and we seen it so much in the past too. I wonder how his attempts to do the right thing are going to fuck him over next because it seems to be what happens when Harold attempts to show that he’s a man trying to repent.

Quote from Jackson Cade on 15 August 2025, 04:47TOP THREE MOMENTS:
- I really enjoyed For Old Times Sake because it showcased how well Doom and Nox can really play off of each other. They were a team for a very short period of time and I feel like we didn't get to see the full extent of their relationship. The idea of these two working together, especially begrudgingly, is pretty tantalizing to say the least.
- Not Today was a beautifully written segment. I think it not only gave Slade a healthy dose of characterization from his dwellings to his reaction, but I always thought Tombstone should be a bit more supernatural. A force of nature in Arcadia that simply won't be ignored. I hope to see this go the route of Drewitt/Tombstone with these two duking it out incessantly.
- Not For You rounds out my favorite moments as I think this possible love story between Destructo and Michaela is fantastic. More importantly I think Klaus' reaction to all of it. The punishment for Destructo was brutal in the simplest way and I can't wait to see how Destructo might retaliate next week.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
- Is Ayame actually part of the Kingdom?
- What did Jasper truly set in motion?
- Where were Nox and Doom?
- Will Tombstone ever reap Kincaid?
MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:
Unfortunately, for this first week in a while I didn't have the time to read anything. Will do better next week.
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Jackson Cade: Really loving the way Cade and Redgrave have to work together here. Or, rather, how Cade has to deal with the repercussions of Redgrave's actions. Very curious to know what Jasper set into motion. As for Cade coming into his role as the heir, I'm pretty fucking excited to see just what happens when he allows himself to slot into the role as Baron.

Quote from El Mariachi Muerte on 15 August 2025, 05:39TOP THREE MOMENTS:
- FOR OLD TIMES SAKE: I really like this. It took two reads for me to figure out what was going on here, with the timeline being played around with a bit. The classic two enemies being tied to each other, and finding that they kinda bond through the process. You can already see a glimmer of that bond by the end of the segment. But if that'll last after they get themselves out of the predicament, who knows?
2. MESSAGE RECEIVED: The contrast in the characters shown here was really cool. The calculated steps of Graves followed by the red-hot bur of action that is Nero. Damned brilliant writing there. I love what has transpired here, how Redgrave captured the family to make it look like Graves's doing and how Nero responded to that. It sets up a great war, where nobody sees eye to eye and there are now injustices on both sides.
3. THE HEIR III: It's one of those situations with Jackson now feeling the pressure from both sides. Somehow, that both George and Zeus echo the same sentiment, and that's enough to convince Jackson to bite the bullet and become something more than what he sees in himself. Can he step into that place and become the leader that they see in him?
BURNING QUESTIONS:
- How do Nox and Doom get themselves into that mess? How to they get out?
- What is Redgrave doing? There's always some two-steps-ahead plan with him.
- Will Graves help Lucien find and save his family, once Lucien realises Graves isn't responsible?
MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:
WHILE ARCADIA BURNS - Going to give a shoutout to my boy Damo this week. The concept of Narcissa being a pyromaniac, based on the fires she's set in her past and how they make no logical sense now looking back, that's nicely done. When you package it like that, and you see a pattern evolving, it's clever to join those pieces togehter under the guise of being a pyromaniac. Why do they do it? Because they like setting fires and watching them burn. The same can be said and is said eloquently by Night. Well done mate.
HAVE YOUR SAY:
SUNSHINEI really like this setting for what's going on with Sunshine right now. The news he received at ROD about the organism in his brain leading to his happiness dying would really have rocked him and seeing his old set falling to pieces and being pulled apart really echoes that. It almost feels a bit toooo respectful if anything, like this is the calm before something breaks in Sunshine, or we find a way for him to smile through it. It really could go in any direction here, so I'm interested to see which direction.EMMThe best part in all of this I think is the fact that when called out, El Mariachi Muerte responds with a single word. "No."It sets up a really good tension between the characters, and a dynamic that is crucial moving forward. El Mariachi Grande, the original, trying to take back what he created and Muerte the descendant, holding on to what power he has. I'm interested as to why Caido said that Muerte's power was never really his, is there more to that beyond the fact that Caido held the powers himself? Is he saying simply that the power belongs to Caido, or did Muerte do something in the past to take the power?

Quote from The Night on 15 August 2025, 08:06TOP THREE MOMENTS:
1. For Old Times Sake takes the top placement. What a sign for what's to come. Doom and Nox tied up in chairs, possibly forced to work together for survival? That's a hell of a situation to be in, especially with a pair of bitter enemies like the two of them. Who had them tied up and what did they have planned for him? What kind of action is Doom going to take to free himself, and possibly Nox as well? I have to wonder what's next for these two and what got them here.
2. The Heir 3 takes it here. While I'm glad to see Jackson and Zeus not come to blows, I have to wonder what sort of plan Jackson's biological dad has for Cade. Following Ares around doesn't sound like anything good, but he might become strong enough to take him and the Baron down if he goes through the same training the God of War did. However, given that Perseus is a stubborn bastard, I don't see that happening without a massive beatdown from Ares. I can't wait to see the results, but I fear for the state Jackson will be in come Ring King.
3. Not For You takes this spot. Poor Destructo. Dude tries to do the right thing, and gets spit in the eye (figuratively) before getting his face caved in. Klaus might be the more dangerous one for her health between him and Harold, but Michaela still hangs around him like he's family, which he pretty much is. Something tells me that even if the choice didn't include her death, she'd still take Klaus over Harold. Will the young Hero get through to her? Or will things get worse before they get better?
BURNING QUESTIONS:
Why did Felix Foley attack Anton Savor so brutally at the end of the show? Was that the real side of Felix, or is that just a one time thing that resulted in the worst possible outcome for Foley? Hell, was that even the Puppetmaster, like the segment title implied?
Is Jackson Cade changing for the worse now that the allure of being the new Baron of Arcadia is over his head? He didn't act as appalled by Jasper's antics as he usually does. Normally he'd try to put a stop to his plan before it gets worse, but here he seems to go along with it. Is he changing? Or does he have a gameplan to free Nero's family without making it obvious?
MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:
I quite like Gemini's Seen. Love how she used the photography and editing angle to tackle Klaus. I might not know the slightest bit about photoshopping images, I know that this was a hard hitting piece that made me say "damn" when the final line was delivered. Great piece, Laner. I'm scared to potentially face you at Ring King.
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Night: He didn't do much this show outside of standing in the shadows menacingly, but his presence was still felt throughout the segment. I wonder how he'll react to Harold siding with Gemini over him. Especially after he whispered something to Nobody that shook him to his core, whatever that was. It's essentially two against one this storyline, even if Gemini doesn't want Harold's help. Have to wonder just how personally Night will take it in the coming weeks?

Quote from Destructo Boy on 15 August 2025, 10:42TOP THREE MOMENTS:
1. For Old Time Sakes. I love me a good old flash foward especially when they're done right and this one is a doozy. DOOM and Nox clearly having been tortured a little, stuck together with that old sword of Damocles hanging above their heads and a lot of who and why questions hanging in the air. Who kidnapped them? Where are they? Will DOOM actually work through his anger of betrayal and save Nox and himself? Brilliant stuff and very intrigued to see the leading up to this.
2. Not Today. Brilliant work here that not only sharpens the character for Slade through these tiny little details of his habits and interactions with the world and also gets Tombstone back to those supernatural all powerful roots that I'd argue that was his forte' at his ultimate height. And doing so also puts Kincaid over even more, being able to survive and outwit even the Ferryman coming for him, top tier stuff here and I cannot wait for the actual confrontation between these two.
3. Will the Real Felix Foley Please Stand Up. Great capper for the show with a brutal beatdown by a usually composed if not friendly Felix but I'm not too sure if this was a fakeout or something messing with Felix's mind here. Poor Felix has been through an absolute hellscape for so long, it was only a matter of time before someone not Tombstone made him snap and Anton Savor absolutely deserved the beatdown he got. Either that or the second dose of Scissors left a darker shadow then anyone realises. Whatever the reason, very interested to see what Felix does next and how deep Anton can dig the hole he has for him
BURNING QUESTIONS:
- How exactly will Grande take back the power of Death from Muerte or will El Mariachi be able to find a way to overcome the Mariachi?
- What is Redgrave actually doing with the kidnapping? Is this just a mere 'get under his opponents skin' deal or is this a deeper plan involving Jackson as well, maybe wanting to see how willing the heir apparent is to get his hands dirty?
MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:
Giving a shoutout to Damo here. Great imagery with the pyro angle and morphing it into the destruction Narcissa has dealt to Arcadia as a whole. Brilliant promo all around and makes me kinda worry about facing you this week bud with the roll you're on.
HAVE YOUR SAY:
So close yet so far Jimmy my boy. I love the wording there by Destructo with trying to make sense of the past six months and for a lot longer, trying to find some measure of control and going back to saving someone, chosing to do so because he can is a great step towards hopefully getting back to the old Destructo...and then he puts his damn foot in his mouth.
I absolutely get where he was coming from, the whole 'tell them how you feel before that chance is gone' having lost his dad with probably a ton of unresolved bullshit but goddamnit was it a dumbass move that probably set that relationship between James and Michaela back to negative one. And then he gets his ass kicked and carved by Klaus. Not a good night and there's no way he's going to listen either cause Destructo is a stubborn dumbass.
Love it, love every bit of it and cannot wait to see what happens next.

1. For Old Times' Sake - A good way to open the show. It brings about a lot of questions like, why have Doom and Nox been captured? Who did it? When does this actually take place? I love a good segment that presents more questions than answers while teasing another team up of sorts between Doom and Nox.
2. Not Today - I like these little looks between Slade and Tombstone. I'm really interested in learning more about Slade Kincaid and it's segments like this that allow us to pick up little bits of information. Color me intrigued, I want to know more.
3. Message Received - It makes perfect sense for Nero to target Graves after the kidnapping. It also makes perfect sense that Zeke would be willing to help find the missing family. I liked the interaction between the two here. I wonder though, can they work together long enough to find Nero's family?
BURNING QUESTIONS:
- Where are Doom and Nox?
- Who captured them?
- Can Slade continue to outrun the ferryman?
- Is Jackson Cade giving in?
MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:
Seen was a pretty solid piece. Textbook, actually. Well done Laner.
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Dare I say, I love the chemistry currently between Redgrave and Cade. Jackson's entire world has been turned on his head lately, and Redgrave is there kind of pushing him towards a darker state of mind. With the two of them holding the tag titles, it's a wonder if Jasper will be able to rub off a bit on Cade, possibly giving him a bit of a darker side too. It kind of feels like this is the moment Jasper has always wanted.. a chance to let Jackson peer into the mind of a serial killer. None the less, I look forward to seeing what Redgrave has set in motion.

1. Jackson Cade agreeing to shadow Ares is such a cool story beat. Cade is slowly being pulled into all of this business, and I'm not sure he realizes how shrewd of a player Zeus really is. Zeus wasn't always the guy he is now. Neither was Ares. Jackson Cade won't be the same guy at the end of all of this.
2. Destructo trying to connect with Michaela by tapping into daddy issues only to realize that her issues with Harry are much different than his own with TBM (and whoever his real pops is). I love the continuity of Michaela being firm in her disconnection from Harold, no matter what she does with Way.
3."I'm not in the fucking Kingdom!" Captain Arcadia doing shit like this will never not pop me, I'm sorry.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
Is Savor right about Foley?
Who's going to be this year's King (or Queen)?
What the hell is really up with Nox and Doom?
MY FAVORITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:
Feast. I love Hatchet regularly, and this promo was no different for me. Love the imagery there, and the path of going through eating scraps and being hungry to Sunshine's story was perfect.
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Slade - This story is brilliant. I love it. Nothing to critique here. Slade getting haunted by the Ferryman is a great angle to take for this character, and the writing has been phenomenal.
Gemini - This was a necessary segment for this story, I think. Gemini needed to make it clear to someone, anyone, that she was possessed. No one had to believe her, but it's an important part of her mental state with all this, I think.
