TOP THREE MOMENTS:

(Three moments of the show that stood out to you and why.)

  1. ...

BURNING QUESTIONS:

(What questions has the show left you with?)

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

(Which promo was your favourite of the week?)

HAVE YOUR SAY:

(How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

  1. The Blood Canvas – Another night of chaos from the masked men, but this segment hit harder than most. Their capture of Jasper Redgrave felt particularly impactful – not least because it inadvertently gave Tombstone the breathing room he’s been desperate for in recent weeks.
  2. Nothing – A rare segment without a kidnapping and a sharp one at that. Muerte turning Ezekiel Graves’ own words back on him was a clever touch. EMM might be at his lowest ebb but he still managed to get the final word, suggesting the Reverend’s influence isn’t what it once was. The El Pastor nod was also intriguing... It's likely harmless, but it did spark the thought that Graves could somehow be linked to the Mariachi (though, surely not).
  3. Bait the Trap – Yet another abduction, but Savor refusing to go quietly stood out. Armed with kitchen utensils, he fought back fiercely — burning and scalding his attackers before being overwhelmed. A gritty, defiant display that added real fire to his character.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  • Are the masked men merely pawns in a bigger game, or will Carnevil reveal something deeper about who they are?

  • Will those locked in cages come seeking vengeance on Klaus Way and his circus?

  • Now that Redgrave’s out of action, will Tombstone finally seize his moment to escape?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

I was travelling for work last week so I didn’t manage to catch any promos this time out.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

No appearance for my boy this week so nothing to weigh in on - but roll on (or up) for Carneeeeeeevil yo.

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

(Three moments of the show that stood out to you and why.)

  1. Boundaries – Man, Klaus is just making himself appear increasingly dislikeable.  His increasing desire for control and just how he continue to manipulate Michaela is growing increasingly sickening.  He’s becoming more twisted with each passing moment and each segment he’s in.  I can guarantee you this segment will inform my promo this week.
  2. The Blood Canvas – This was Jasper’s big monologue showing just how depraved he can be.  Especially with a “canvas” that keeps coming back.  The level of sinisterness with how he savored the pain of Tombstone.  Then the setup for the show under the big top when the masked men bust in and kidnap both Jasper and Tombstone.  Man, I cannot wait to write this match.
  3. Roll Up! Roll Up! - I loved how this set the table for Carnevil.  It put the spotlight perfectly on the Ringmaster of Madness.  It also made the event and The Way & Co Circus into a character of its own, eerie and ominous.  I cannot wait for this show.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

(What questions has the show left you with?)

What will the blow back be at the end of all of this for Klaus?  I cannot imagine having a bunch of Arcadia’s most violent men seeking you out will wind up good for him.

Is Narcissa hiding something more about the RLD Explosion?  I get the vibe of me thinks she doth protest too much from it.

Is Graves going to go Caido hunting when all of this done in his quest to get Lucien and Rose back?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

(Which promo was your favourite of the week?)

Rock Bottom – I enjoyed the setup and the analogy of bad decisions leading to someone hitting Rock Bottom and what Rock Bottom is like.  Then using it to turn Hatchet’s quote on him was awesome.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

(How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)

Harold: Boy is locked away like a caged animal (not the first time).  I can only imagine him having flashbacks to Deathrow.  I wonder what Klaus vs. Attano will be like after Harold’s been locked away for weeks.

Nox: Taking a loss to EMM is never anything to be ashamed of.  The story continuing between Destructo and Nox and Destructo being willing to take out the chemist.  Part of me wonders though if Destructo has it in him to end Nox.

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

(Three moments of the show that stood out to you and why.)

  1. It was Klaus all along! That bastard! I love how he's got everyone in cages. It's a great premise making everyone his freaks as we head into his big show. I wonder how the fight being in the Circus will affect how everyone decides to fight?
  2. Savor waiting for the masked men to come get him was a dope way for him to go. In control to the end.
  3. Redgrave cutting up Tombstone is such an eerie visual. Great segment though, it kept the tension strong even with the masked men interfering, and showed us that while Jasper Redgrave is sadistic, Tombstone is still Tombstone.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

Will Destructo ever learn?

How will Michaela get to talk to Harold now?

MY FAVORITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

Breathe by EMM. This is the type of promo I love to read. I can feel it pulsing with energy as it goes along. A march towards finality. Great work!

HAVE YOUR SAY:

Gemini - So is Narcy lying or not? Did the tape REALLY not have anything on it? Curious to see how this story transitions into the next phase.

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

(Three moments of the show that stood out to you and why.)

  1. The Blood Canvas has to be up there, right? Seeing the absolute piece of work Jasper Redgrave looking over the absolute piece of work he's creating in Tombstone really is a sight to behold. Hearing him described as carved apart, hollow, cracked, etc. you feel like you can almost hear the flies buzzing over him.
  2. Bait the Trap actually made Anton Savor look really strong. He kept off the masked gang a lot more than some of the other kidnapped folks did, and with the usual Savor charm.
  3. Roll Up! Roll Up! I'll talk about it below though!

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  • What next for Gemini?
  • Will Muerte ever pull himself out of this slump? He is really down on himself since losing his Mariachi abilities.
  • Will Destructo ever stop being angry at the world? What an emo.

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

I'll concur with the shout for "Breathe" this week. It was well structured and wove the opponent in to the theme really well.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

(How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)

This is what I like to see - Klaus Way centre stage! And it's only going to get better/worse at Carnevil! From Boundaries setting up a more controlling and abusive relationship with Michaela, which although hinted at so far we haven't seen it this bad, through to Roll Up! Roll Up!, which set up the next show really well.

I enjoyed that Klaus had access to some kind of green liquid to inject Graves - is this something his masked men stole from Nox? I enjoy that he is literally caging the Titans like he might cage animals or his freaks. And I like the little flash forward to set the tone.

But the thing is this - if the Titans are his freaks, what are the masked men?

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

(Three moments of the show that stood out to you and why.)

  1. ... ROLL UP! ROLL UP! - When you're on the precipice of a show like Lost Tapes, you need that awesome moment where the penny drops and we have the show itself revealed. This did not disappoint. It builds the hype massively. The flash forward, seeing all the cages. That's a heck of a mental image!
  2. ... THE BLOOD CANVAS - Just seeing the imagery of how far Jasper Redgrave is willing to go for his art is chilling to say the least. The image of Tombstone, tortured and maimed beyond belief, knowing that he'll come back for Redgrave to do it all over again gives me Lux Bellator in hell's cage kind of vibes. Jasper's manic reaction to Tombstone being captured too is both intriguing and well portrayed.
  3. ... BOUNDARIES - The pitiful whisper of Michaela I think speaks volumes to everything going on for her. The choices she made, the position she now finds herself in. The bastard that sweet-talked her into a corner she can't back out from. There's so much in that one sentence... "I want to talk to my dad." She says dad, not father... it's a person reaching out.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

(What questions has the show left you with?)

  • Is it too little too late for Michaela? Has she come to the realisation that she's better off with Attano?
  • What horrible things await the ringmaster of this messed up circus, or is that just wishful thinking?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

(Which promo was your favourite of the week?)

ROCK BOTTOM by DESTRUCTO

I liked the ideas shown in this one. The ability of Destructo to be able to see the similarities in both he and Hatchet's stories. How they've both hit Rock Bottom, but only Destrcuto has really realised it. He's done something about it. He's stood back up again, where Hatchet has stuck his head in the sand out of denial. That's good, because in a sense, there's another Rock Bottom beyond what they've already hit that Destructo is saying Hatchet has sunk to, because he's unwilling to get back up.

I like the tone and the voice in the promo, the ability to bring in the storylines and reflect on things here.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

(How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)

This really showcased EMM's mentality well. Caido is everything, has everything and EMM is nothing in comparison. But more than that, Graves sees that he's so broken now that he's not even worth keeping around. Can Muerte dig himself out of this hole he's been forced into?
SUNSHINE
Bait the Trap felt like a Savor promo, I liked that vibe. It did a good job of still pushing the tension in the storyline despite the fact that all of his opponents had been captured.

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

  1. Roll Up! Roll Up! Snags the top spot for me this week. I think Klaus is delightfully vile in how he goes about things. Of course he would do something like this in the name allowing the show to go on. I just have to wonder what the true end game is here for him.
  2. The Blood Canvas was a really brutal segment that really shows the depths of Redgrave's depravity when provided what is an endlessly regenerating canvas that can't quite give out on him. It also shows just how terrifyingly unstoppable Tombstone really is seeing as this won't keep him down.
  3. Nothing is a really powerful segment in regards to Muerte's mental state. I think this character has really gone through a lot in his time in OSW especially in regards to how he views himself. He's been beaten down so much that I can't wait to see when he finally reclaims his confidence.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  • Who are these masked men? More freaks?
  • What else does Klaus have planned for Carnevil?
  • Will Destructo ever finally listen to Foley?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

I think that Breathe was a very well done promo by Hayden. Great example of a promo you can learn from.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

Nothing to say about my boys this week due to not appearing in segments, but I look forward to seeing what comes of the PPV. Especially seeing as Cade has been made to stare Ares down in captivity for so long.

TOP THREE MOMENTS

1. Nothing: This was super intense I could honestly see it as a movie or a tv series. I really enjoyed how Muerte clapped back at Graves at the end. Even after getting his ass beat, he still had enough in him to spit venom. Great segment and amazing writing all around.

2. The Blood Canvas: Week by week, this has become a staple for me and continues to entertain. It’s like watching a full-blown horror show what the hell is Jasper thinking? He’s showing just how much of a monster he really is.

3. Roll Up! Roll Up!: What an incredible way to end the show. It perfectly set up what’s shaping up to be an awesome event.

BURNING QUESTIONS

• Why the abductions?

• What happens if you win?

• Where is Graves’ sister?

• What are Zeus’ thoughts on the kidnappings?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK

Gilded Rot: The gold metaphor was clever and easy to visualize it showed how Narcissa’s shine is all fake underneath.

HAVE YOUR SAY

You writers are making Graves feel so strong, and I love it. You’ve given him such a powerful voice thank you for that.

I just hope I put out something decent for this Lost Tapes show, because I always feel like I drop the ball when these come around.

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

1. I quite liked Roll Up! Roll Up! God damn Klaus is an evil person, ain't he? We get to see the masked men helping him out with capturing Ezekiel and reveal his game plan for all those kidnapped individuals. I have to wonder just what their condition will be after two weeks. Will they be able to fight in front of a crowd at that point?

2. Alone takes the next spot. Poor Foley. Dude just can't catch a break when it comes to Destructo and Nox, can he? I feel bad for the guy, especially when one's a stubborn hothead and the other's pissed at him for ruining his plans. Since he wasn't taken by the masked men like most of everyone else, I have to wonder what he'll do now to try and get back in James's good graces?

3. Boundaries takes the last spot. Just when it looked like Michaela was going to break free from Klaus before the big Carnevil event, he shuts her down and turns her into a meek little worm. Poor girl. I'm hoping she eventually stands up for herself, even if it's at a big cost. We need a heartwarming moment to cap off this story, man.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

I saw it mentioned that Tombstone's hand twitched when he was moved from out of the sigil. Does that mean he's getting his strength back, or am I reading too much into it?

What kind of horrible stipulation does Klaus have planned for each of those taken in by the masked peeps? I'd imagine the Ringmaster wouldn't want just a regular wrestling match out of everyone he's taken.

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

Breathe was a great piece, honestly. Love how he took Nox's mask and turned it against him. Yes, the rebreather he uses does make artificial air and he's just as susceptible to the same poison he spreads without his gear. Love the theme he used against his opponent and I can't wait to see him face Caido for La Musica.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

Night: Nothing to say about Night this week, as he wasn't mentioned or seen in any of the segments at all.

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

  1. where is he was a really cool segment to me. it was another abduction but this one specifically stood out because not even ares was safe from whats been going on. but the way both he and emm went out was admirable and very fitting too.
  2. the ending of the show was crazy as hell, and a great segue into lost tapes. as said above, i think it’s dope how klaus has got everyone in cages like they’re his circus acts now as well. can’t wait for the show now.
  3. blood canvas was yet another display of jasper being a sickening individual. it was him cutting into tombstone with a scalpel, and the words he was speaking while doing so before he was interrupted. just dark shit.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

is tombstone free now?

what does klaus have planned come lost tapes?

what’s it gonna take for emm to tap back into what he was before? or will he ever?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

had a stacked plate this week so i wasn’t able to get to any but i’m back on for lost tapes.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

i couldn’t of imagined a better way for anton to go out with the abductions that’s been going on. for him to be expecting it and therefore being armed with kitchen utensils, fighting the abductors until he couldn’t anymore. real bad ass activities.
