Hey folks, first RP as Slade. Wanted to see what people thought.
I'm not sure if anyone's going to see this, but thought I'd put it out there!
I thought I had already replied to this but I must have just thought about it.
I really like this. The character voice is spot on for a seasoned war veteran. He takes no shit and spares no names, you can tell from even the opening line that this is a guy who's seen shit.
What I love the most here is the spin you can put on qualities that seem positive. Honor, saving people... But if they are done for self-serving means, then ultimately you're still an asshole. It really brought forward to me the types of people that make a big deal about how much they help the needy, how big a donation they make, or even how eloquent they sound when they pray in church... When it's all for a front.
I think you capture a side of Caido that is spot bloody on. The line about him seeing himself as sacred, just because he was first... Boom
From there, the rest fell into place perfectly.
Damned fine job. I'm going to love reading more.
