The pop of the night for me was Blaze almost setting his son on fire. I know that Blaze has been off the deep end that last few weeks, but almost setting your son on fire would take the cake. I’m not exactly sure how this one will turn out.
BURNING QUESTIONS: (What questions does the show have you asking after reading?)
- Why the assault on the PD?
- What will happen with Zeus and Hercules’ relationship?
HAVE YOUR SAY: (How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)
No work for the Raven this week. Ring of Dreams is going to be fun!

Quote from Malakai Midnight on 17 June 2024, 15:54POP OF THE NIGHT: Who's That Writing setup the Uprising vs. Apokalypsis Match without any requirement for John to betray his team. I still don't trust him though. There's something about the way he is that bugs me. I don't know if that's misplaced or right, but the way he talks to Narcissa and the things he's hiding from the rest of them concerns me.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
- Can John be trusted?
- Did Cade and Attano escape the Uprising?
- What happens between Zeus & Hercules now?
HAVE YOUR SAY: The show had amazing graphics this week. I really liked the look and colour scheme of this one. Nothing for Malakai this week but I think last week setup the PPV perfectly as it was.

Must Be Finished. This is the kind of angle that gets to me in particular, that part of me that just wants everyone to be friends and get along! I wanna see if father and son can repair their bonds, plus get more insight into the effects of the pool - this is the first time I've seen what has happened when someone goes in. I hope they get their happy ending... But lets be real, this is OSW!
BURNING QUESTIONS: (What questions does the show have you asking after reading?)
What is behind that door that everyone wants so badly?
What consequences (beyond the match) will The Uprising face for killing the police?
Will the Yellow Python stick to the values of The Kingdom and let Kleen live, or will he stoop to Kleen's level?HAVE YOUR SAY: (How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)
I'm 100% on board with it. I'm still very much 'finding my voice' so to speak and deciding what kind of person I want her to be, which obviously doesn't help the writers out. Hopefully I'll have something more fleshed out for you peeps soon.

Quote from The Yellow Python on 18 June 2024, 03:28POP OF THE NIGHT: There were a bunch of really good segments this week, but I think the one that really takes the cake from me is Must Be Finished! There's some really wonderful notes of father and son meeting in the ruins of their old house, confront each other and then just to have Destructo Boy escape with his life was a fantastic piece over it all! I'm looking forward to this feud resolving in ROD, or at least reaching it's next chapter.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
- Will Hercules follow in the tradition of his father left alone with him in the singular room, or will he take his side?
- What's lurking behind that door that's got John and now Narcissa salivating for what comes from behind?
- With the four way at the end, who's going to come out on top of the whole thing?
HAVE YOUR SAY: Congrats on the win Daws! You wrote one helluva promo. For Yellow Python, I do gotta say that the reveal of the history of Mr Kleen has been a fascinating dive, and then that extra punch with Blue Shark being captured and the one getting the whole narration just adds that little bit of menace to the last match. Leaving his body for YP to find is for sure gonna get him on the warpath against him, and I look forward to seeing how these clashes end up.

Quote from Tombstone on 19 June 2024, 10:33POP OF THE NIGHT:
I really liked the writing this show produced and none more so than Assault on Precinct APD. I find myself naturally invested in Harold Attano's story and the hook for this match to keep the angle fresh is such a fun one. This story between these four in some form has been going on since the beginning of the volume and somehow it keeps us guessing. That's awesome.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
Borrowing from above:

- With the four way at the end, who's going to come out on top of the whole thing?
- Can John be trusted?
- Did Cade and Attano escape the Uprising?
- What will Apokalypsis do or say about John's new deal with Narcissa?
HAVE YOUR SAY:
A great 499th OSW show and to say I've been here for a large chunk of them is an honor and a privilege. OSW is the shit. There's no denying that. I want to thank everyone involved in the storyline between Tombstone and Felix Foley because it's been masterful. The creation of Six Feet Under and how it happened was perfect too and I'm really invested in every member of the group minus Mark Hayes and where it might go from here. I hope to see it added to the powerhouse stables of OSW lore by the time this volume is over.

ASSAULT OF PRECINCT APD: The set up to this was great, reminded me of one of those old cop shows where you have the description mixed with the monologue. The picture created in the beginning was great, coupled with the chaos of the Uprising storming the precinct. The ending, with Cade torn between fighting to save his friends in the precinct and the smart decision to not get involved is great.
This is boiling down to a knife edge. Is there some evidence they don't have, or are they right in thinking this is a red herring to put them off the track?
BURNING QUESTIONS: (What questions does the show have you asking after reading?)
Simply put, what happens next between Zeus, Ares and Hercules?
What is ACTUALLY behind the door? Is JTR even on the level, or is he the bad guy in all of this?
What is going to happen in this fatal four way that Sterling speaks of? He sounds like a man with a bigger plan than what he's telling us.
HAVE YOUR SAY: (How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)
Happy 499th show folks!
Can I just say that the writing across this show was top notch. So many segments were beautifully descriptive, especially in the scene writing.
VISION/EMM: I really like the twists and turns that this storyline has taken. There's so much at play at the same time. We have Narcissa leveraging Apokalypsis to win the match by holding the final key, seemingly. We also have her leveraging a bit of a deal between her and JTR.
Whatever transpires here, it doesn't sound very much like this is going to end well for Apokalypsis. Either they get stabbed in the back by JTR, or they don't open the door. What lies behind this door? Is it something that will bring about the promises "Johnny" has made, or is it something that is going to send the whole of Arcadia into a spiral that it will not recover from?
This has been such a long burning storyline, that you can track everything all of these players have been through to this point. For everyone, there's so much on the line beyond a single match - but to see Narcissa at the centre of everything, you have to love to hate the bitch haha.

Quote from Harold Attano on 20 June 2024, 02:50POP OF THE NIGHT: (What was the moment, in segment, that you enjoyed the most and why?)
Then There Was One, just one heartbreak after another for TYP. Seeing what happened to the person he teamed with for the Tag Titles just mere weeks ago die off felt heartbreaking. This truly feels like the thesis of an “all is lost moment”. This sets the match up the match between Kleen and TYP to be either an epic beatdown or a huge underdog story. But right now, I am just heartbroken for TYP.
BURNING QUESTIONS: (What questions does the show have you asking after reading?)
What will happen between Zeus and Hercules? Will we see another Parricide with Zeus being left alone with his son?
Did Thorpe and Redgrave hoodwink Cade and Attano? What will come of the Uprising’s Attack on the APD?
Will we get to see the Door Open and what horrors are locked behind it?
HAVE YOUR SAY: (How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)
Attano – I have to say I loved Harold showing Cade that discretion can be the better part of valor and that you have to save yourself sometimes before you can save others. Plus, I think it goes to show the attachment Attano has to Cade, that he didn’t want to watch him die at the hands of the Uprising even if they’re going to go into battle against each other. I really feel the mentor-mentee relationship here between these two.
Nox – Invading the APD with the rest of the Uprising still doesn’t allay my fears that Nox could face the wrath of the bat with Narcissa as Paranoid as she is about the rat in the Uprising.

Quote from CJ Thorpe on 20 June 2024, 17:37First of all, Happy 499!
Second of all, this show was great. I love the stripped down card, and the focus on people that don't always get it. It puts some spotlight out there that really helped everyone, I think. I'd love to see more of these going forward.
POP OF THE NIGHT:
Gotta go with the Blaze/DB segment. Will Blaze see through whatever Nox did to him, or will he follow through on killing his own son? Also, might we find out what actually happened that night?
BURNING QUESTIONS:
Why do I feel like whatever Zeus has to say to Herc now may be the most important thing he says.
Does Scott Sterling have something else planned for the Uprising at ROD?
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Gemini - Just what is behind the door? And also, fuck John the Revelator. He seems like such a shady piece of shit. All he cares about is opening the door, and Apokalypsis seems to just be means to an end. It also makes me wonder how much his promises to them weigh in. Is he actually going to follow through?
Thorpe - I hope people don't look over this segment. The APD has been taken out by the Uprising. The stakes for all of Arcadia have been raised quite a bit. It really adds to both the Four Way and the 8 man. Not to mention the overall story. This is also the first time, I believe, that Thorpe and Redgrave have been there for one of this big Uprising attacks. One of them may be the mole in the Uprising camp, but they definitely were there to get shit done.
And most importantly:
RIP Sharkie...

Quote from Jasper Redgrave on 20 June 2024, 23:06POP OF THE NIGHT: Must Be Finished
I find myself with a bit of a renewed outlook on the Blaze character, which is insane considering how many times I could say this about the character. He's seeing red right now, and it's all thanks to Nox. That may spell the end for his own son, Destructo Boy. This weeks segment was beautifully written, and I was on my heels thinking that this could be the moment. Thankfully, DB escaped. One has to wonder though if we will find out what truly happened back then?
Special shout out to The Blue Shark. R.I.P.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
- What happens between father and son when it comes to Zeus and Hercules?
- What exactly does JTR mean by the "darkness" that lies behind the door?
- Does the door get opened at Ring of Dreams?
- What happens between father and son when it comes to Blaze and Destructo Boy?
- All the evidence points to Redgrave, so what is his angle here?
- Who's the rat?
- Win or lose the 4v4.. what happens with The Uprising?
HAVE YOUR SAY:
499 fucking shows. That's an amazing feat, and one that should be celebrated by those who are responsible for putting those shows together behind the scenes. Without you guys, we don't make it this far.
I'm so excited for Ring of Dreams. I'm excited to see where things go with the Attano/Cade/Redgrave/Thorpe storyline. I'm excited to see what happens with The Uprising and if there even is an Uprising after RoD. One thing we know for sure is that a lot of questions will soon have answers and those answers will lead to more questions. I love Ring of Dreams.
The segment this week was written beautifully. The absolute chaos of The Uprising attack gave us a true look of how close Attano and Cade can truely be. Any other man, I don't think Harold stops from walking out that door to his demise. I'm hoping we find out who killed Mikaela, or at least what Redgrave is up to by saying it wasn't him.
