THEME SONG:
"Bad Medicine" by Bon JoviENTRANCE:
The intro to "Bad Medicine" by Bon Jovi swells up, leading to the opening refrain:"Your love is like baaaaad medicine
Bad medicine is what I need!"The song continues as Roderick Pym makes his way out of his cell toward the ringside area, staring down his fellow inmates watching on before making a beeline for the ring itself. Pym seems squarely focused on getting on with the match, warming up to give his opponent some, well...bad medicine.
BIOGRAPHY:
Pym is the head of a pharmaceutical crime family. When he was young, Pym made a deal that offered him fortune, but the woman he made a deal with warned she would come to collect their prize from him...a collection that came 30 years later, at the cost of his family.
Three sons, three daughters, all slain because of Pym's foolishness, and the Tycoon was framed for these murders. He now sees them as ghosts of his past, taking responsibility for each of their deaths.
Napoleon (or Leo for short), Prospero (Perry), the twins Annabel and Arthur, Juno, and Camille haunt him, all with their own personalities: Leo was a drug dealer, Perry a nymph, the twins ran the family business with him, Juno a doctor, and Camille a respectable member of the press.
Pym is an older but still handsome man, well groomed, very intellectual and intelligent. He plays chess when people play checkers. He has a bit of a temper, and very capable of murder. He's committed many upon his journey to success and his company produced 'non-addictive' medicine that was utterly addictive, so he preyed on the helplessness of many, his products often causing death.
And now, fittingly, Pym finds himself locked away in Deathrow, still dealing with his ghosts and his pain...until the chance of a lifetime afforded him an escape from that prison. Narcissa's promise of an Uprising against Zeus means he is able to find peace...and aid in the cause.
