Vendetta #360

Quote from Nox on 16 August 2024, 03:28POP OF THE NIGHT: (What was the moment, in segment, that you enjoyed the most and why?)
MIA – No Ares, no army, Zeus is all by himself in a mess of his and Narcissa’s own making. This could be a tipping point for his reign over Arcadia with Six Feet Under knocking at his door. His wife to potentially be made the Dark Bride of an ever-powerful Tombstone. It feels like he’s a heartbeat away from the Baron’s grip slipping from his rule over his land. This is a very compelling development.
BURNING QUESTIONS: (What questions does the show have you asking after reading?)
Where are Ares and his Army?
Can Zeus stop this Dark Marriage without them?
Who will Zeus turn to for help?
Will CJ snap and betray his brother to spite his father?
Can any of these Chain Reaction Teams Survive without imploding?
HAVE YOUR SAY: (How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)
Nox: I love the idea of Nox convincing his team to meet in his workshop only to attempt to pump a mind-altering toxin at Sunshine to take him over. I also like that Doom was quick to identify it. It makes me wonder though if Doom didn’t have degree of exposure to it. Maybe Nox could be trying to get both his partners to follow his lead. So great depth in storytelling with this team.
Harold: With Harold off air this week, I can only ask the question, Will Zeus turn to Harry once more in his time of need? And if this happens will Harold tell him how hard to get fucked? Just an interesting bit of head cannon I put together

Quote from Destructo Boy on 16 August 2024, 03:49POP OF THE NIGHT: I'm going with Sin Lurks at The Door here. Very tough choice this week but as a build up through a year or so of the Cade brothers either searching for one another or down right hating one another, it's refreshing to see them both on the same page. Jackson wanting nothing more then to be brothers again and fuck what their dad thinks was a great touch and the symbolic handing of a gun for the both to go hunt Redgrave...perfect capper and although something's going to happen to fuck it up, very intrigued to see how this continues this week and going into Chain Reaction.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
- Does Narcissa become queen of the damned?
- Without Ares and his army, can Zeus actually do anything to stop Tombstone and Six Feet Under?
- Will EMM get his hands on Grizzly and make him talk?
- How will the teams keep themselves together in these last few weeks? Will Hatchet and Gravedigger want to deal with the seemingly blissful minded Gemini? Will Doom retaliate for Nox's attempted mind altering? Are the Unnaturals actually fans of Felix or is this just Klaus trying to bolster a broken mans confidence?
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Gino Carelli: Gino's not directly involved yet but the do gooders are hunting him down so it counts. I do love the little details we're getting on Carelli's past and the usual violent nature of it. Maxwell was knee deep in their business it seems and I do wonder if Candy's going to be able to coax info out of him or if Carelli will get to her first.
Destructo Boy: Welp the Kid got too focused on berating the asshole and forgot the teamwork part of this. Jimmy boy really should've known by now that a lone target is an easy target and this rivalry with Redgrave is absolutely going to hurt the team if they can't work together...which is great and I'm super intrigued to see if they can at least slightly co-exist next week and heading into Chain Reaction.

Quote from Jackson Cade on 16 August 2024, 04:56POP OF THE NIGHT:
I actually wanna give this one to MIA. Not just because I love seeing Scott Sterling, but because we have never seen Ares in a situation where he's on the backfoot at all. Now, him being on the wrong end of an encounter is definitely something that would be surprising to begin with. However, he's just straight up disappeared.
I need to put emphasis on that. Somehow, someway, Tombstone made Ares and his militia fucking disappear. Doing that is nothing short of the biggest power move I've seen so far in this volume. Maybe I'm overstating that a bit, but Ares has been so built up as unstoppable that I can only question how Tombstone pulled this off. Magic or not.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
- Where the hell is Ares?
- Will Narcissa become Tombstone's queen? Or bride, at least.
- What happens when EMM gets his hands on Grizzly? Or better yet, when will he get his hands on him?
- Will the Chain Reaction teams stay together or fall apart?
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Jackson Cade: I'm really vibing with this storyline so far because from what I can see it definitely feels like this is more of CJ against his father than CJ against Jackson. While I'm sure these two will have an implosion in this coming week, or at least something to fight over, I'm more curious as to what may happen between George and CJ and how it may affect Jackson as well.
Hatchet: I feel so bad for Gemini here, honestly. While I do love seeing Hatchet trying to make his team stoop to his level, I can't help but feel bad that she has to put up with an asshole like him. That aside, I did enjoy Hatchet and Gravedigger's interaction here. It was subtle, but I liked seeing those two on the same page up until everything went to shit.
Ajax: Seeing the Unnaturals being fans of Foley is a fun angle! It certainly makes sense, especially with their interactions with Sunshine being any indication of what the Freak Show is like. Huge fan of Ajax being quick to back Klaus with his muscle. Small but impactful interaction.

Quote from Narcissa Balenciaga on 16 August 2024, 05:54POP OF THE NIGHT:
MIA- Tombstone showing his true power with making every possible support system of Zeus disappear. This might be a rare moment in Zeus' life where he feels helpless. His army is gone, his right hand man with them, and his wife has been goen and might be gone for good in the way he wants if Tombstone gets his way next week. This is a big moment that could be a set up for a bigger moment.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
Will the marriage actually happen?
Where had Tombstone taken the army?
What does TBM know?
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Narcissa has been missing in action the last two weeks so can't say much for how her character is portrayed but I'm really excited about this storyline and I can't wait to see how things play out.

Quote from The Burned Man on 16 August 2024, 08:45POP OF THE NIGHT:
Gonna be Sin Lurks at the Door for me. Things are heating up for both brothers here tonight. Got that whole Cain and Abel vibe going on and I know that CJ is gonna snap at his brother eventually. It's a matter of when, not if. I like how Jackson was rather curt about how he felt George was treating his brother. It was a nice gesture on his part, even if I think it will all amount to nothing near the end of their storyline. Will they take down Redgrave? If it happened in any other month, I'd say maybe. But with the brothers fighting each other for the world heavyweight championship? Definitely not. I hope to be proven wrong about the whole Cain and Abel thing, but I won't be holding my breath for it to pass.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
Which team will get their shit together and be able to act as a cohesive unit first? Will any of them actually get along or are they all doomed to fight amongst themselves?
Where was Ares and the rest of Zeus's army taken to? Did Tombstone really take them or is that just a red herring and someone else has diminished the Pantheon's numbers?
HAVE YOUR SAY:
TBM - Well, Candy's definitely trying to get as much juice out of Maxwell as she can regarding Gino. Not sure why TBM would follow her into a place like the abandoned bar that housed nothing but bad memories for him, but I'm willing to suspend some disbelief for the sake of the story. I have to wonder just why he's trying to keep Candy from knowing so much about the past, though. What happened that Max doesn't want to spill the whole can of beans on the Carelli's? I'm quite eager to find out when they meet face to face though.
Calypso - I was pleasantly surprised to see Calypso on this show. Coming out to talk to Zeus while he was demanding Tombstone was a ballsy move, but being able to stand her ground against the Baron and being able to render him speechless? Simply amazing. All it took was the announcement of the arranged marriage between the Ferryman and Narcissa to make that happen! That's a pretty massive bombshell to drop on him and the rest of Arcadia too. With seemingly no army to stop the wedding, will the coronation of the Queen of the Damned go through? Can Zeus be able to stop it with the odds heavily against him? We'll find out next week, I suppose.
