POP OF THE NIGHT: (What was the moment, in segment, that you enjoyed the most and why?)

BURNING QUESTIONS: (What questions does the show have you asking after reading?)

HAVE YOUR SAY: (How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)

POP OF THE NIGHT: A Cross to Bear takes the cake for me this week, and a surprisingly strong return for Attano!! Glad to see him swing in and take on Tombstone face on during one of the most elaborate set-ups during this season and save the proverbial day by intervening in the fight, even if Tombstone broke him over that concrete cross worse than Bane did to the Batman. Love this movement going into Chain Reaction!

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  • Will Grizzly St. Claire make an appearance on the show, or are they going to wind up deader than a door nail?
  • Did any of the mind tampering stick to Mr. Sunshine, or is he more resilient than that?
  • Is Jackson Cade still alive? Did CJ just kill his brother?

HAVE YOUR SAY:

Candy Kane: Like I know this one's a bit of a burner for the CR feuds but I'm just absolutely loving the interactions between Candy and TBM. Like with how everything's been, it's nice to see that TBM doesn't want to see her brains splattered on the concrete floor. The setup for the info, the showing of just how brutal the Carelli's are, it's a wonderful setup for this man hunt she's going to be careening into. Fantastic work!

Captain Arcadia: I was pleasantly surprised to see my boy deal with Zeus! That was a nice twist, and seeing that offer extended to him was a nice step up in the ways of how he's working to find more. Got absolutely murked by the Night Owls, but still was a genuine surprise to see him emerge out and makes an appearance was an absolute delight.

POP OF THE NIGHT:

There was a trio of closing segments this week that I thought were good but capped off by probably the most exciting segment I've read to date in OSW. Tombstone giving off pure Undertaker vibes and Attano getting the Austin treatment was amazing but then Tombstone obliterated the hero. I didn't see that coming. It really shocked me because everyone and anyone who knows the segment this was inspired by, knows that wasn't how it ended.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  • Is Harold's career over?
  • Is Jackson Cade dead?
  • Why did Attano help out Zeus?
  • Will EMM find out the truth?
  • Will Gemini find out the truth about EMM?

HAVE YOUR SAY:

A medley of a story for Gravedigger this cycle. I don't have too much to say about it, except I'm excited for the Chain Reaction match.  Assuming that was the goal then mission accomplished. I am hoping for something a bit meatier in the coming months, so my fingers and toes are crossed for that.

POP OF THE NIGHT: Chain Reaction. As a prelude to this coming week's chaos, we got a segment that was every bit as chaotic. brawling, strange alliances, inter-team intrigue and within-team fighting, plus Redgrave standing tall at the end of it all while he's been comparatively in the background up to this point is pretty darn interesting. It is just a whole lot of 'what-the-fuckery' in the best possible way.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  • What condition is Attano gonna be in? Will he be able to wrestle again after Tombstone fucked him up?
  • What did CJ Thorpe do? I refuse to believe he shot his bro, but either he saw something the ol' sheriff didn't or he's pulling a power play, and I'm leaning towards the latter. What will he want from Cade?
  • Will Zeus honour his agreement towards his would-be helpers? They didn't stop the wedding, but they drew away the owls so Harold could...
  • Will Candy Kane and The WCW Yetay be able to have their match without Carelli (or potentially Troy) poking their nose in?

HAVE YOUR SAY:

I was actually talking to Dean when I read the scene between Aurora and Gemini, and immediately told him it was 'bloody sweet'. Because, you know, it was. Big fan of the way Aurora is developing, being both badass at times yet vulnerable at others, and since being introduced she definitely feels like THE daredevil of the OSW roster, which is freakin' awesome! I'm just excited to see what happens each week. Bring on Chain Reaction!

POP OF THE NIGHT: (What was the moment, in segment, that you enjoyed the most and why?)

I'm torn.

Either it's Redgrave totalling Chain Reaction and standing tall above his mountain.

Or it's that final image of Attano being choke-slammed onto the concrete cross. The commentary really sold that moment and the significance of it as it pertains to a potential future without Attano.

Man, there's so much going on at the end of this show! Peak OSW!

BURNING QUESTIONS: (What questions does the show have you asking after reading?)

  • Is Attano done? Really?
  • Is Jackson Cade dead? Really?
  • Is anybody going to actually be able to work with Redgrave?

HAVE YOUR SAY: (How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)

EMM - There's actually quite a bit going on here subtly at the same time. EMM chasing down St Claire with a suspicion that Zeus sent him, but not actually knowing the whole truth. Until then, he can't exactly go after the Baron himself... But the question remains, when EMM finds out that Zeus did sent St Claire, where does that leave him? It doesn't exactly give EMM any power over Zeus - in fact, it makes him more of a target. Neither Hera nor Zeus are above making people disappear.

I love the little interaction with Gemini and EMM. It was really husband and wifey, the little look that Gemini gave him was enough. She's trying to stop him from putting that target onto himself. You can feel the "just stop talking dude" vibes from her.

SUNSHINE - This has been a fun storyline to run, and really culminated to a climax point this week. I think it all built well over the show, and I loved some suggestions along the way from my counterpart about what ended up building a bit more depth to Sunshine. I've wanted to give him a little bit more backbone but without fundamentally changing the character, I hope that came through a bit.

I also love that chemistry Sunshine has with MATT RUBY - Ruby just despises everything about Mr Sunshine, and that's come through in multiple peoples' writing now. That's gold.

POP OF THE NIGHT:

I'm going with a Cross to Bear. Zeus's B team were taken out immediately before the segment and it looked like Narcissa was going to be wed to Tombstone with absolutely no one to stop it. Just when all seemed lost, old man Harold comes out and crashes the wedding, levelling Gravedigger and Malakai in the process. I was happy to see him save the day and rescue Zeus's wife. But then Tombstone fucking decimated him with that chokeslam. I hope we don't lose Attano because of this. It would suck to lose our Stone Cold before we got to find out what happened to his daughter and knowing if she's actually still alive by this point. Awesome segment and I can't wait to see the big PPV.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

Can Harold Attano wrestle ever again after being chokeslammed on a concrete cross? Hell, can he even walk again after that? I can't imagine him recovering from that without shattering a few discs in his spine.

Is Jackson even alive after that? The bodycam going dark after the gunshot went off isn't a good sign, but stranger things have happened when it looked like someone should be dead.

Will any team in Chain Reaction get along in time for the big match? It doesn't look like it. Lots of tensions are forming here tonight and not a single one of them is willing to set aside their differences for the sake of winning the match.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

TBM - Well at least now we know why TBM would follow her to an abandoned bar. He was trying to scare her off with somewhat false information about the manager of the bar being killed. While I can sense he admires her determination, it's obvious he doesn't want someone as seemingly doe eyed as Candy being murdered by someone with as much history as the Carelli's. I do like the setup for the match too, with TBM willingly withholding vital information that Kane needs in order to prove her worth. I imagine she'll put up one hell of a fight to get what she needs, but will it be good enough?

Calypso - I certainly liked Calypso's role as a minister in this situation. Not quite sure what made her qualified enough to attempt to wed Narcissa and Tombstone, but I'll let it slide. I also like how Six Feet Under had almost all their bases covered when it came to nullifying Zeus's back up plan. The only thing they didn't account for was Harold Attano pulling off an action hero moment and crashing the wedding. Black Magic pretty much vanished from the segment after that, so I can't really talk about the portrayal too much. I thought it was a cool moment overall and I'm excited to see what the fallout is of that seg.

POP OF THE NIGHT: (What was the moment, in segment, that you enjoyed the most and why?)

I think it's quite clearly the final segment, isn't it? I have heard a couple of people refer back to some early Undertaker segments and I think Tombstone is far away from a copy of Taker he's clearly our version of what WWF/E were aiming for with Taker, I think, so that is a fair comparison in terms of the eerie supernatural nature, the cross motifs etc. It felt very much like the penultimate act in a superhero film, where the good guys are all down bad and you don't know how they'll get out of it, then something happens. And that something was Attano - but what has he risked!? Is that his back broken!?

I must just give props though because those final 3 segments could ALL have been show closers - what a step up for a go home show!

BURNING QUESTIONS: (What questions does the show have you asking after reading?)

  • Is Sunshine completely immune to mental manipulation? The gas from Nox failed last week and the shock therapy did nothing this week. Maybe he is just as happy as he seems!?
  • What's going on with Aurora and Gemini. Surely they're not just being nice to each other. Maybe there's a nanny cam in the flowers or something...
  • How badly will Grizzly be decimated at Chain Reaction?
  • Team Candy Man in the future? They actually seem like they get on quite well and would make a good team.
  • Has CJ KILLED his brother!? And why did he try?

HAVE YOUR SAY: (How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)

The Unnaturalssssssssssssssssssssss. They're properly here! What a delight. I think they're going to be a very fun team and we'll be a very fun stable. Way himself didn't get too much screen time tonight aside from a bit of a beating in "Chain Reaction", but I look forward to seeing what this stable will achieve going forward.

POP OF THE NIGHT:

Gotta be that finale segment. As I was reading it, I just asked myself who would be the cavalry. I knew it had to be Attano. And man, he came in all guns blazing and it was shit hot. Then Tombstone got him, and man that makes the story that much better. Did Attano break himself trying to help Zeus out? They already have a complicated relationship, and one has to think that this is just another chapter. What a segment.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

Did Mr. Sunshine earn the begrudging respect of Doom and Nox?

Will Candy Kane prove herself to the Burned Man?

What the hell is the next escalation in this war between Zeus and Tombstone?

HAVE YOUR SAY:

Thorpe - Is he shooting Jackson? Someone else? Something else? The fact that all of those are believable is a testament to the whole story that's being told here. Going into a hugely personal match, this just ratcheted the stakes.

Gemini - Love that Gemini seems to have the kind of influence with EMM as she does. How are these two going to react if/when they see more of what Zeus really is. And I love the Aurora seg with Gemini! I totally ship these two as a tag team down the line.

POP OF THE NIGHT: A Cross To Bear
This closing segment was loaded with action, and several pops for me. First, I popped when Attano barreled out of the back, and then I popped again when Tombstone destroyed him. One has to wonder what will come of this segment for Attano.. was this the end of the line? Attano's a bit of a reluctant one so we'll see..

BURNING QUESTIONS:
- Will any Chain Reaction team be able to get along?
- Has Harold Attano's career been ended?
- Is Jackson Cade dead? Why did CJ shoot the gun?
- Seems like it's Zeus' move now, what will he do?

HAVE YOUR SAY:
I sure do enjoy ending the night off on a good note when it comes to my character, so of course I popped this week. An onslaught of Chain Reaction chaos is capped off by Jasper Redgrave standing tall over them all made my willy go boing. I'm interested to see which team might be able to find it within them to work together, and what Chain Reaction has in store on that front all together. Also, that gun definitely went off in the Cade brothers segment.. did CJ shoot at his brother? Why would he do that? Did he shoot at something else? What happened there?

POP OF THE NIGHT: (What was the moment, in segment, that you enjoyed the most and why?)

A Cross to Bear

I’m a bit of a homer here but I am always a fan of Attitude Era nostalgia flashbacks and I got these vibes heavy here.  Attano storming the ring, clearing house, looking like a badass, and then... the other shoe dropped, and I hope this isn’t the end to his story.  The whole segment was just so wonderfully written with everyone getting over and even though his plans appeared spoiled Tombstone came out looking like the bad ass monster he is.

BURNING QUESTIONS: (What questions does the show have you asking after reading?)

Will Harold fight another day and what does he get for his sacrifice?

Can any of these Chain Reaction Teams get on the same page?

Is Cade still alive?

Will EMM decide St. Claire’s fate?

HAVE YOUR SAY: (How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)

Harold: See my pop of the night, I was so happy to see Harry on this show and his comeback was something awesome!  I just love how his music is used when he does run-ins.  I will say it again and again, I love how he’s been written since his call up from Deathrow.  He’s just looked like such a badass.

Nox: I have to say I have been looking forward to Nox and Doom’s paths crossing.  I love how they’ve played off each other and I would love to see them in a more long term story down the line.  I just would love to see the war of the minds they could have.  Then the blowout at the end with chain reaction ahead of this weekend was a wonderful set up.
