POP OF THE NIGHT: (What was the moment, in segment, that you enjoyed the most and why?)

I have to give a special mention to the first two segments here. It completely threw me that George stepped out of one and into the other, but it was such a good transition.

I also think I want to give this to Got To You? because it really makes Destructo Boy look so strong. He's always been this plucky underdog when not doused in pool water, so to see this more confident side of him that doesn't mind taking a hit for a bigger cause is such a boon for the character. Very well built up.

BURNING QUESTIONS: (What questions does the show have you asking after reading?)

  • Does George really think the secret is worth more than a fathers burning desire to avenge their daughter? He can't love his sons much...
  • How twisted will Foley go? He's already a million miles from his sweet demeanor - are we going to see Scissors come out to play?
  • Similarly are we about to see a much different side to Mr Sunshine? His quest for niceness didn't appear to be nice for Nox.
  • Is Aurora dead!?
  • Will TBM really go in the odyssey pool again!?

HAVE YOUR SAY: (How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)

Captain Arcadia doesn't play very fair :(. But at least it sets up the grudge match nicely! I still don't know which way this is going to go? Is it kidnap or is the kid there of his own volition. We've had a couple of weeks of "is he, isn't he?" segments now, so I'm looking forward to the payoff, which will hopefully come at Bad Blood.

POP OF THE NIGHT: Not Very Nice
Like many of us, I've been wondering if there is something more to the Mr. Sunshine character. Is this that "something more" shining through, or was Sunshine actually affected by Nox's gas? I really enjoyed this version of Sunshine, though. I look forward to seeing more chaos being caused all while this man smiles in our face.

BURNING QUESTIONS:
- Will George be able to take his secret to the grave, or will Attano find a way to get it out of him?
- What will the extent of Mary's injuries truly be?
- Are we seeing another layer of Mr. Sunshine or did the gas get to him after all?
- Will TBM end up taking another dip?

HAVE YOUR SAY:
Looks like Aurora has found herself in bit of a situation, eh? Her desire to find out what Jasper has been up to may have just locked her in a room with a cold blooded killer. What will Jasper do now? Does Aurora even make it to Bad Blood or will Redgrave have other plans for her?

POP OF THE NIGHT: Honestly, the set that really dominated the entire show for me was Bad Blood. While there's tons of good segs this week, the three that tied into this had a flow of a show and pushes into the entire world of OSW that moved nicely. Seeing Papa Cade and Harold clash, and motivating Attano to get out of that bed to kick his ass move nicely into the hospital scene of the brothers rushing their mother in and the vendetta being truly set into place is absolutely sublime. And then post big match of Tombstone vs Gravedigger and the two brothers just absolutely laying into them was utterly fantastic, and a genuine surprise and delight to read! Excellent stuff lads.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  • Will The Burned Man stay himself or be consumed once more by the Oddessy Pool?
  • Did Aurora survive her encounter with Jasper Redgrave, or is she a new painting?
  • Is Mr. Sunshine even human? I'm not sure anymore.
  • Why is Nick Morningstar targeting the folks that are under Hatchet's thumb?
  • How will Tombstone get revenge for what Felix did, and unveiling that he was the Terminal Man?

HAVE YOUR SAY: While the feud between Klaus and Captain Arcadia is a simpler one, I've been really enjoying how it's going down. The bartering and setting up a match to win the kid's freedom versus the concept that he came there of his own volition. I'm looking forward to seeing how it wraps up this week!

POP OF THE NIGHT: (What was the moment, in segment, that you enjoyed the most and why?)

Bad Blood I, II, and III

Just damn this is getting dramatic, I know it’s been said before the transition from scenes one to two was a fantastic stroke of creativity and I’ll share my thoughts about Bad Blood I in my “have your say” portion.  But just damn, this was all enough to make Jackson abuse his authority and beat a handcuffed man.  This all shows how far we’ve come from Mr. By-The-Book Jackson of old.  This pair of Buried Alive Matches are going to be something wonderfully out of this world and this build sets an extremely fantastic tone.

BURNING QUESTIONS: (What questions does the show have you asking after reading?)

Is Mama Cade safe in the hospital? (I’ll elaborate on this in my Have Your Say portion.)

The lights, Will Scissors enter the Cell to face Tombstone?

How will Redgrave’s “movie” end?

What will a fight under Hatchet’s rules look like?

Will TBM go back to the Pool?  What will come out if he does?

HAVE YOUR SAY: (How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)

Harold: Oh, just the way “Bad Blood I” all ended, “I’ll take this secret to my grave and there’s nothing you can do about it,” Cade says backing away.  Then George goes on to needle his old “friend” by essentially mocking his injury and his status while dangling the secrets of his daughter’s status over his head.  Then the line Harold said as George left his room, “Your grave, huh? We’ll see if you feel the same way when I fucking put you in it.”  Then knowing that Mary Cade is in Medical along with Harold Attano, I have to feel that George may not want to leave her side knowing how personal this is.  Will she be safe with a recovering Harold in the same vicinity?  Could Harold use her as a bargaining chip, also what would Mary think if she knew what George was holding over his old friend or is she in on this too?

Nox: So, this is going to be more about my interpretation of the segment, “Not Very Nice” and not so much about Nox’s character itself because Sunshine owned his ass by showing more violence than he ever has.  I think this all has to do with Sunshine being gassed last week and I personally think that Charlie Sunshine here is dealing with the emotions he’s never dealt with before, and he got violent to deal instead of bawling his eyes out.  If that is the case man, that’s psychological storytelling of the highest order.

POP OF THE NIGHT:

They may be the segments my character is in but I have to give it to the Bad Blood series of segments. The first segment was absolutely fantastic to start the night because it leaves so many questions about George and Attano, especially in regards to Michaela.

Then we get to worry about if Mrs. Cade will fully recover from the assault.

But the biggest pop was the pure police brutality on display. But I'll go on about that down below.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  • What is George hiding from Harold?
  • What if the kid wants to stay with Klaus? What if he doesn't and Cap loses?
  • Will Destructo Boy get his answers?

HAVE YOUR SAY:

Jackson Cade: I loved these segments because it really is a departure from what Cade was like before this. He was, in every case, by the book. But now he's finally exercising his full control of the APD and I think it's exceptional. Cade may look like a bit of an asshole, but I honestly love the arc he's taking with the assault of his mother seemingly making him break his own code.

Hatchet: Excellent segments here. For one, I can't wait to learn what Hatchet Rules are. I assume it's basically Bloodline Rules, but who knows. And I'm also interested in this little run in with Nick. I'm interested to see where this might lead.

POP OF THE NIGHT:

I've gotta go with Mums The Word I and II here. I'm a sucker for a good old fashioned blood feud and that's exactly what Tombstone/Foley has become. For the most part, this has just been Tombstone being an absolute malevolent destroyer to poor Felix who has always just been this too pure soul to truly fight back properly, to cross that line without the help of the pool but this week was Felix drawing that line and fighting back. Not only with his words but the vicious attack accompanied by the red lights. I cannot wait to see what happens at Bad Blood cause this feud right here, feud of part 3 thus far in my eyes.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  • What exactly is George hiding from Harold and how far will Attano go to make him talk, especially with them both being in the hospital for the forseeable future?
  • Is Mr Sunshine just immune to Nox's gas or is there a deeper evolution happening inside of him?
  • Can Arcadia win the chance for the boy to go free...and will the kid actually want to go free?
  • What will the consequences be for the Terminal Man revelation and how far will Foley get pushed before something truly snaps in him?
  • Will the Pool revert Maxwell back to Blaze? Will it make him better like it did James or will it create something even worse?
  • How far has Perseus fallen in this war against Six Feet Under and will he become the same corrupt cops he fought so hard to purge from the APD?

HAVE YOUR SAY:

I absolutely loved James portrayal here. The kamikaze approach to herodom might be ernest but it doesn't make sense unless there's a plan and the confident Destructo Boy basically goading Hatchet into possibly telling him everything was brilliant. Sure he's got another uphill battle in a gang beating most likely but the kid using his unnatural durability and survival luck to his advantage, great stuff here and very much cannot wait to see what happens next and if the Kid can find out the who and why he and Maxwell were nearly murdered at Ring of Dreams.
