POP OF THE NIGHT: (What was the moment, in segment, that you enjoyed the most and why?)

BURNING QUESTIONS: (What questions does the show have you asking after reading?)

HAVE YOUR SAY: (How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)

POP OF THE NIGHT: I really liked Burned Man and Destructo Boy's segment as well as Aurora getting away from Gravedigger the latter being very tense.

BURNING QUESTIONS: Why is Mighty Concerning himself with Locke? Who could want Grey dead  if anyone?

HAVE YOUR SAY: Ramble added

So I found the most interesting part of the show by far the roland grey segments, that's just a personal preference because I like the general direction. However I didn't mention it as the top segment because the Aurora segment or the Burning Justice segment felt like it had more to it be it thriller aspects or genuine emotion behind it. It's hard getting into some segments because of the lore behind them so it's genuinely hard to tell if I'm supposed to know something or if it's a big implication. Watching live helped out a lot in explanations for somethings so I wasn't overly lost for Ring King. but this vendetta yeah like the klaus and zeus thing. I sorta just accepted that as "must've been something I didn't know about" instead of a "Oh what could this mean" thing.

I may be coming down from the high of Ring King still but this show felt a bit disconnected, more so than most. There wasn't much of something big going on. There was the felix foley segements, or the cade segments. But things felt like they happened and people were in their own little bubbles. which is fine in isolation just a comparison and I have a small sample size of 2 vendettas, 2 Themed shows and 1 Major show.

Overall it's a good show to come back to, and I like that it tied the non-canon show into the canon in it's own way. I'm happy to see where the storyline with ayame is going even though I'm not quite sure if it's an Ayame vs Locke vs Mighty storyline or a Locke vs Mighty Mighty storyline at the moment but I'm trusting to see how things go.

POP OF THE NIGHT:

A Helping Hand for me. I love Mr Sunshine's shenanigans anyway, but this absolutely looks set to be the biggest story he's been in. Granted he's more interested in helping Gemini rather than messing with Zeus, but I doubt Zeus will see it that way! I look forward both to the story that will unfold and the character interactions... And if things go as I expect, the chaos of a massive tag match will be the perfect place for Mr Sunshine to be a frickin legend at Forces Of Darkness!

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  • With both Nox and Malakai being aligned with Zeus, will the title change cause dissension in the ranks?
  • Speaking of Malakai, what exactly does he have planned for poor Aurora?
  • What is Nox going to do with Foley? I can't imagine it being pleasant.
  • What is Jasper using to keep CJ compliant?
  • What exactly will Ezekiel Graves get his congregation to do, and how violent will it be?
  • What is Mighty Mighty's stake in Locke's business with Ayame?

HAVE YOUR SAY:

Poor Aurora, she's had a really rough time with psychos lately. Very interested to see what happens, in fact even moreso with regards to what Gravedigger and Malakai do more than Aurora herself! I'm kinda surprised Malakai is even indulging him, so wonder what his angle in all this is. Either way, I'm invested.

POP OF THE NIGHT:

It had to be Destructo Boy and The Burned Man for me. That raw emotion is sometimes hardly seen in OSW because we focus on what comes next a lot. Violence often reigns supreme and we go from understanding who did what to wanting to know why in the midst of violence and retribution. Destructo Boy seemingly wanted to go that route but had his mind changed, reluctantly, by good old daddio. I loved the writing of the segment and the way it unfolded. The Burned Man trying to get his house in order is a huge metaphor for getting things done right and that's what he suggested they do. Loved this!

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  • Why won't CJ compete?
  • What was in the box?
  • Who's trying to contact George?
  • What's the deal with Anton? Why did he attack Roland?
  • What favor does Zeus owe Klaus and why?
  • Will TBM and DB be smarter this time around?

HAVE YOUR SAY:

This week was undoubtedly a more subdued week for Tombstone than previous. He wasn't front and center and the storyline with Felix has taken a much understood and well reasoned back burner to Foley and Nox. I think as we move towards Red Snow, and the next PPV is out of the way, Tombstone and Foley will reach its much needed final destination and I can't wait to see what's ahead with that.

This character has to be my most enjoyed to date and the storylines with Drewitt and Foley are probably some of the best I've ever had in OSW. I feel blessed to be here, all these years later.

I thought this show was extremely good coming out of a top notch Ring King and Lost Tapes special. I disagree with Ayame that it felt disconnected at all. The storylines were well presented and followed on from Ring King as we proceed towards Red Snow. You know that storylines like Foley/Tombstone, Nox & Doom vs. Burning Justice, CJ Thorpe vs. Jasper Redgrave and so many others have a long way to go before they reach their conclusion in December. It makes sense to use well reasoned diversions to elongate that process. I thought the storyline for Roland/Anton and Aurora/Gravedigger/Malakai were superior standouts, and Jasper Redgrave/CJ Thorpe/Jackson Cade too, actually.

POP OF THE NIGHT: (What was the moment, in segment, that you enjoyed the most and why?)

IT'S A GOOD DAY FOR A...

This was some really great writing. The scene portrayed was just the right balance of sad and creepy. Who knew what Gravedigger was really like under all of that. The moment where Aurora escaped and the shouting of her name afterwards, that was a great moment. Something from a horror film, I feel that there may be more creepy horror film-esque scenes coming here.

Also... OUR KILLERS was a hell of a segment. Just such raw emotion. Slow clap to the writer there.

BURNING QUESTIONS: (What questions does the show have you asking after reading?)

  • Still... What's in the freaking BOX? And what does he mean by another Box he is going to fill?
  • What happens for Burning Justice now? Is this their defining moment?
  • Felix Foley is the superface now. Is Nox toying with him going to come back to bite him in the ass?

HAVE YOUR SAY: (How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)

EMM - Well, I'm kinda glad it turned this way out and that El Mariachi Muerte gets his chance to clear his conscience against the Baron. I love the way EMM spoke, the fury in him and flat-out calling Zeus out like that - that took some balls.

But, to then now have to go through Tombstone, Calypso AND Gravedigger to get his revenge. That's a touch ask. He better bring a freaking army.

A great show. You can see where things are starting to build now on the road to Red Snow. The storylines that begin here I'm sure will all go in some pretty major directions that nobody sees coming. Hold onto your hats people, this is going to get freaking awesome!

POP OF THE NIGHT:

It’s a Good Day for A.. was my favorite segment overall. It was well-written and creepy. I really enjoyed the juxtaposition of traditional wedding elements with the macabre (flowers but wilting (as if if they’d been touched by death was a great flourish) and a white wedding dress (faded and “hollow”), but hanging off a hook). It was just really solid writing that I enjoyed so much.

The Truth was a a segment I enjoyed not so much for the segment itself, but for what it set up. I’ve always been a fan of the faction vs faction matches, so I’m looking forward to what this team ends up being and how the match goes.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  • Not really a question, but The Disciples piqued my interest. That seems like something that could be used in a variety of ways—who’s to say who is a Disciple? Could Graves have them hidden in OSW itself? It’s a fun little idea that can be used a variety of ways with some potential big reveals.
  • What’s in the box is gonna be on everyone’s since it involves several of the major players right now
  • Who is contacting George and for what purpose?
  • How is Klaus going to deter Harold?

HAVE YOUR SAY: A lot of screen time for Gray this week with two segments and a match. The match was amusing given Moriarty never showed, so it was fun to see a dominating match. The segments were good as well: I particularly enjoyed the shot into the ring and smoldering canvas. That was a really good visual. I appreciate the callback to the Wolves and how Gray is thinking it might be someone from his past. I’m still skeptical that Savor is the ultimate reveal as the guy who put the hit out, but we’ll see how that plays out. Overall, I like the way things are going as the character develops a familiarity here and appreciate the effort creative has put into him.

POP OF THE NIGHT: (What was the moment, in segment, that you enjoyed the most and why?)

I also liked 'It's A Good Day For A...' like the others here, but aside from the writing style mentioned above, I thought it was a nice throwback of sorts. When Gravedigger was introduced he was intro'd as very much Tombstone's lackey - someone who looked up to him and would do what was asked of him. Very fitting then that only a couple of months after Tombstone took Narcissa and tried to force a marriage against her will, that Gravedigger is now re-enacting that with Aurora. I'm not sure if that's part of the storyline at all or just a bit of an easter egg, but it stood out to me because of that link with his mentors actions and his.

BURNING QUESTIONS: (What questions does the show have you asking after reading?)

  • What was in that box, and why has it affected CJ so strongly? Linked to that, what does Jasper mean when he says he will send more boxes? What could be in the extra boxes he might send or is this an empty threat?
  • The people of Arcadia really are sheep - they follow Zeus, they follow Troy and now they follow Graves - who won't they follow!?
  • Who put out the contract on Gray?
  • What next for Muerte and Gemini? Will they suffer a similar fate to Drewitt?
  • What are Mr Sunshine's plans for Gemini?
  • Where is Nox taking Foley, and what does he want to do with him!?

HAVE YOUR SAY: (How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)

Ahhh, the typical grandstanding segment - really what would the storyline be without one? It's always fun seeing two characters who have had little to do with each other trying to figure each other out.

That said, it's interesting to me that Klaus is owed a favour by Zeus - is this related to him taking in Michaela or is this for something else? And if so what could it be?

POP OF THE NIGHT:

I'll give this to both It's A Good Day For A... and Search & Rescue. Seeing Gravedigger act this possessive over Aurora is quite frightening. If he really thinks that she's in love with him after he stalked her for months, then he's just as delusional as the first segment makes him out to be. I liked the eeriness of the follow up segment too. Just what does Malakai have planned for Aurora when he brings her back to Gravedigger? Will a hair on her head be harmed in order to get her back? Or will Malakai not anger the lovestruck man and keep his word? We'll have to wait and see, but the chances of Aurora coming out of this unscathed aren't looking so good.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

Where did Doom go? Is he hiding from Felix and the rest of the people that want him dead, or is he laying in wait for the perfect time to strike with Nox?

What was in the box that caused CJ to stay at home and miss out on OSW action at Jasper's request? What sort of message did George receive from Black Ops that made him leave and not have his son's back? What will be in the next box that Jasper sends due to Jackson getting involved? Lots of questions have arisen in just this one show involving the Cade family and I hope we get some hints as to what the answers could be.

What sort of favor is Klaus going to call in from Zeus? More security from Harold, perhaps? I'm intrigued as to what this could entail, and I hope we'll be able to find out next week.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

TBM - This was a damn good segment. I love how TBM finally stood up to his son's brashness for a change and essentially told him "we're going to think of a plan, then go after him." It's a stark contrast to how he used to obey his son no matter what. He also brings up a good point about Nox and Doom wanting them to go after them immediately. They're fully expecting the all out balls to the wall Burning Justice that kept pestering Stubbins and Foley for the better part of a year. I have to wonder what their plan will be once they rebuild and decide to go after two of the most dangerous men in OSW currently? Guessing that only time and their eventual return to the ring will tell.

Calypso - Not too much to say here. The Voodoo Child was silent here and did her job as an enforcer for the House of Judgement well enough. I like the new Early Grave move too, it sounds like it'd hurt a fucking lot. Fun showing for her, I feel.

POP OF THE NIGHT: (What was the moment, in segment, that you enjoyed the most and why?)

I have to say, I loved “Our Killers”.  Just the idea of DB wanting to go off all halfcocked into a fight to the point where his rage drives him to breakdown and the TBM laying it all out for him.  Just the display of youthful anger and angst, diametrically opposed to the calm and experience of a seasoned hero but you know that something is simmering underneath TBM’s wraps.

BURNING QUESTIONS: (What questions does the show have you asking after reading?)

What is the trap Doom and Nox have planned for DB and TBM?  Heck, what’re they going to do with Felix?

Can Aurora keep running at this pace?  What’ll happen when Gravedigger catches up with her?

What is in the box? Will Cade be in the next one?

What does Klaus have in store for Harold?

HAVE YOUR SAY: (How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)

Nox: Well, I was surprised this week.  To be honest I struggled with my work for Nox this week and wasn’t expecting it to perform as well as it did this week, top 3 and a Championship win was just a surprise.  Then the capstone of Nox luring out Felix to drag him away in a cloud of gas.  Nox totally came out of this week looking like a Corporate Champion and a sinister genius.  I cannot wait to see how this grows from here.

Harold: Just the level of cold calculation that you can feel from Harold this week.  From his words I could sense a man trying to keep his cool in the face of men he would’ve rather gutted than speak with reasonably.  Where does this go from here, how will this all crack off, what will happen when it all explodes?  Just what will Harold’s next move be?  And what does Klaus have planned?

POP OF THE NIGHT:

I'm torn between It's A Good Day for A... and Our Killers since both were just phenomenal segments. I love a lot of the scene dressing in the former with how Gravedigger finds himself setting up the most blasphemous version of a wedding. Poor Aurora truly can't catch a break recently and I can only wonder what's going to happen now that she's fully spurned Gravedigger's advances.

As for the latter segment it was just teeming with emotion. I love that there feels like a real Batman and Robin vibe to this segment in a way with Burned Man taking on the role of being a the grizzled veteran to Destructo Boy's emotional upstart. I especially like how Burned Man clearly wants to tear the Corporation apart in a more calm, calculated manner.

Fantastic segments all around.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  • What the hell was in that box?
  • Where is Doom hiding?
  • Who's trying to contact George?
  • What favor does Zeus owe Klaus?

HAVE YOUR SAY:

Jackson Cade: I'm so curious as to what was in that box if it was frightening enough to cause Thorpe to stay back and out of OSW under Redgrave's command. As for Cade going after Redgrave? Here we go again. I'm always excited to jump back to this storyline and I wonder what will happen now that Cade is Sheriff and Redgrave is Ring King?
