Vendetta #370
Quote from Harold Attano on 29 November 2024, 06:05POP OF THE NIGHT: (What was the moment, in segment, that you enjoyed the most and why?)
I have to go with the Foley/Tombstone series. These reminded me of nightmares I can have where I'm yelling and screaming at the top of my lungs but nothing comes out. Every vision that Tombstone showed Foley tonight and the level of taunting with each one was harrowing and dramatic. I really loved how it focused on Tombstone's anger and angst toward Felix's family and how Mrs. Foley was so stoic in the face of what was happening (or was that a way of showing that Mrs. Foley wasn't actually being ferried). This whole series just stacked layers upon layers to this story and it can only get better from here.
BURNING QUESTIONS: (What questions does the show have you asking after reading?)
Is Mrs. Foley still alive?
Will Cade's actions lead to the Death of his mother, like in the past when Redgrave killed Officers due to Cade's missteps?
On the same note, will CJ take a beating and surrender his title to save his mom?
What does that subpoena hold for Jackson?
HAVE YOUR SAY: (How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)
Harold: It's good that it looks like Harold survived and potentially uncovered another mystery in the Way's Carnival. Who's skeleton was it, how far does this story of secrets go?
Nox: Just damn, such an uncaring visage was on display for Nox tonight when confronted by TBM and DB for what he's done, “A small price to pay for success, wouldn’t you say? Your wife was an insignificant pinprick when stitching our fabric of success, Maxwell. Your loss was our gain,” Just such an emotionless thing to say. Then, Doom returns to save Nox from being beaten down by the New Tag Champs. I can't wait to see how this evolves as Burned Justice continues to seek their revenge.

Quote from Narcissa Balenciaga on 29 November 2024, 09:36POP OF THE NIGHT:
The ghosts of past, present, and future got me. Like a twisted form of A Christmas Carol, this was a beautiful story that had me hooked through and through. From playing with the idea that Felix was dead to the reveal of why Felox is going through everything, this might be my favorite series of segments on a standard shows since I've joined OSW. There's so much to this and now you have to wonder how much time Felix and Ms. Foley have left to live.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
Why is George protecting Jackson and letting CJ fight?
How far in the future is Ms. Foley's Death?
Will the wedding of Gravedigger and Aurora actually happen at Red Snow?
HAVE YOUR SAY:
I was not expecting a trial to be the way things went for the next big show but I'm certainly intrigued, I don't know if I can remember a trial during a show so multiple reasons I'm intrigued. We didn't see much from Narcissa besides the subpoena but doing something in the intellectual and legally binding way is something I can see her doing.

Quote from Aurora on 29 November 2024, 11:19POP OF THE NIGHT:
It has gotta be Remnants for me. While Klaus does seem like a bad guy, we've had no reason other than George Cade's word thus far to suspect Attano's daughter is in any sort of danger - His circus acts appear to be willingly following him and he doesn't seem to be abusing them. The bones found (if not planted by Attano, which I don't think they are) definitely add another wrinkle to the story and add a whole lot of intrigue to the character of Klaus Way. Why was someone killed, or what was covered up?
BURNING QUESTIONS:
- How does George know Jackson will rescue his wife when he knows he himself can't? I'm missing something, can't wait to find out what that something is.
- Does Tombstone truly believe this 'sins of the father' schtick, or is he letting his emotions cloud his judgement? Is there a chance he may let Foley go?
- Did Savor know the danger his crew were walking into, and does he even care?
- Will EMM lay down for Gemini to prevent the brutality of a deathmatch and/or squash Zeus's plan, or will his pride/Gemini's anger prevent this?
- What slanderous lies are being told about my innocent and pure boi Mr. Sunshine? Is it the ACA behind these blatant fabrications, or is The Zookeeper somehow involved?
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Well, shit. I get the feeling a mix of morbid curiosity and an urge for revenge means Aurora isn't just gonna no-show her 'wedding', so what the bloody hell is gonna happen? Can it be done in absentia in Arcadia (maybe with some finagling from Zeus on the House's behalf) to force her appearance? How does Gravedigger intend on getting her to say yes? This is all delightfully unhinged and I'm looking forward to see how it unfolds.

Quote from Captain Arcadia on 29 November 2024, 12:18POP OF THE NIGHT: Ghost of the Past/Present/Future take it for me this week. Having Foley watch his father, his brother, and even Mama Foley go down the river and be unable to do anything about it was a delightful amount of insight into both how Tombstone's fucking around with him and how Foley feels about each of these characters intrinsically tied into the story and lore of him at this point. It's something spectacular on how in depth it's getting to the torment, and ramping up quite nicely for Red Snow.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
- What is Jackson Cade being subpoenaed for exactly?
- Why has DOOM chosen to emerge now?
- Will Lutheran be able to beat out his dark side, or will it take control?
- Who was buried beneath the circus if it's not Harold's skeleton?
HAVE YOUR SAY: This segment had my mind blown a little bit with the levels of subterfuge in this segment. The patrolling in the higher level, the secret folder and the mysterious information leading us to Mr. Sunshine of all people. This has a lovely tone, and leaves me with a multitude of questions and wondering just what exactly the folder contains. Excellent work.

Quote from Wolf Fang Ayame on 29 November 2024, 16:36Pop of the Night: Gotta be the Felix/Tombstone segments, it was a real good read in a confrontation of the past/present/and uncertain future and a deeper dive overall into the Felix Foley character. It kept me hooked on it. And a very good payoff for what happened at the end of last show. With it's own little hang off it was a nice flow and I'm excited to see where else it goes.
Burning Questions:
Why do the circus have their eyes set on Mighty Mighty?
Who's old bones were under the circus?
What is lurking in Mr Sunshine's past?
What did Tombstone's final words about Foley and telling him about "All he is" mean?
Have Your Say:
No real complaints, continuing the feud with locke makes the most sense given the characters dynamics. And overall it makes for a good intro to both and how they've coped with having demonic entities intertwined with their souls. The show overall was very smooth and an easy read, you can see the cards falling into place for red snow. And the intensity building up.
