TOP THREE MOMENTS:

(Three moments of the show that stood out to you and why.)

  1. Helpers stole the show for me. I think I'm gonna become a big sucker for the war segments, but to see more depth for Mara here being added, and the softness and kindness that Felix could offer really charmed me. Like this feels like who Felix Foley is, the kind man that helps those in need. And to show him helping out where he can with this is just an absolute delight. Ten outta ten.
  2. Origins 1 took a moment for me to come to turn with the realization of who Zephyr was, that it was George's brother just adds another layer of tragedy to a story that makes it all that much better. And to see Ajax and Desmond here, so young but already part of the circus really adds on that extra bit of depth that shows all of them are more involved than one would assume on a surface level. I have a feeling this is gonna ramp up into some really interesting story hooks for Klaus along the way, and give depth to Michela, Ajax, and Desmond here more than we already know.
  3. So there were a few here, but if I'm being honest, this has to go to "In Hell, It's Hot." Finding out this new face of the Grim Reaper showed that the contract that Tombstone made was binding, and he's not able to die but is immortal was such a fuckin fun way to bring him back with a vengeance. When Death itself tells you that you can't die, and you've got a job to do, you know something big's going down and it's gonna be one hell of a time.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  • Why didn't Destructo make an appearance this week to save Foley?
  • Why the betrayal from Klaus on Redgrave?
  • What sort of Vengeance is Night looking for?
  • Will anyone be able to stop Drewitt?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

Honestly, Sorrow took it for me. There was the emotional depth, the theming presented just perfectly, and the juxtaposition against Attano that came together for this one for me. Daws is a fantastic writer, and while this is probably not his usual wheelhouse with the character, pulled it off with aplomb. For that, it took my attention and I truly enjoyed it.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

So that's what Sunshine's up to! Playing both sides of the fight to get both factors out of the way. From the Anton segment, it made it sound like Arcadia's a pest that just needs to be wiped away and forgotten about, while on Arcadia's side made it seem that Savor was doing some rather unsavory things. The real question is if these two are going to be able to reconcile that before the big matchup, or if they're clashing as pawns by the PPV. Excellent buildup for certain.

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

(Three moments of the show that stood out to you and why.)

  1. Sprinkle a little sunshine 1 & 2 - The Mr.Sunshine character is probably one of the most intriguing characters in the roster at the moment and the way he manipulates Capt Arcadia and Anton Savor puts him in a very powerful position going forward. I like the tone and the language this character uses, almost like the snake in the Adam & Eve story, whispers in the ears of those who surround him and makes them do his bidding.
  2. The bargaining chip - I was happy with the way Red's character progressed in this segment, since he realized that Graves' actions were not motivated by his faith or distain from establishments like Reds', but by a motive of profit and corruption. This made him snap and avenge previous actions. Neros' angle is still unknown but overall it opens a lot of possible rivalries in the future.
  3. In hell its hot - I would put it number 1, however with the way I felt Ezra reached internal closure and peace in the last show following Red Snow events, I believed it was a good ending point to his story. I am curious to see what part will the Grim Reaper play in the future. Overall the writing is excellent again, almost literature-esque.
  4. I also wanted to mentioned the fact that Jasper Redgrave was able to compete with Gravedigger after the assault from Klaus, and not only to compete but also win, after a pretty long and demanding match, is a significant sign to the power of this character and the place he holds in the current roster. I think it is definitely puts him as the biggest winner of the show, despite the surprise attack by Klaus.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

(What questions has the show left you with?)

  • What role will Tombstone play in the near future and what role will the Grim Reaper play in the long run?
  • What is Mr.Sunshine planning for Capt Arcadia and Savor, what is the endgame of his plan?
  • How will the World title picture will develop with Klaus setting his sight on the title belt, and what kind of impact will it have on the Civil War

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

(Which promo was your favourite of the week?)

Broccoli was excellent, very simple and accurate with a great analogy that fits Foley's character. I also enjoyed Threads of Judgement by Graves, liked the words he chose and the way he expressed himself, very fits the sort of character he plays.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

(How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)

The bargaining chip segment was one of my favorites as mentioned previously, I think there is a lot of potential there to progress different stories in different ways. It is still early to understand what will be the relationship between Red and Mighty since Red haven't encountered Way & Co yet, even though Mighty's request directly involves them. I was obviously a bit disappointed by the loss in the 3 v 3 match but I anticipated it will be the outcome since we came up against strong handles, especially Muerte whom promo I very much enjoyed. I hope Red's character will show signs of playing long game, scheming and planning carefully his next steps. The assault on Graves is a sign of strength in a way, but on the other hand attacking such a dangerous character can result in future consequences.

Overall I enjoyed the show a lot, always a very interesting experience reading all the stories, what can I say, I'm looking forward for the next shows with high anticipation. Thanks a lot!

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

(Three moments of the show that stood out to you and why.)

  1. In Hell its Hot: I legitimately thought Tombstone was finished. Last week seemed like the perfect ending for the character, though that nickname was something special. This week I loved seeing Tombstone in hell, and being punished. I loved his attitude. I'm definitely not mad that he's being sent back or that his poser is as awesome as ever. There's gonna be a different kinda Tombstone walking about and I think that's gonna be fun.
  2. Origins I. Whoa. That's some pretty huge information right there. George Cade and Zephyr were related? How does that tie into everything else?
  3. Klaus Way choosing not to align with Jasper and The Preservationists and instead take his chances going for the World Title. I didn't expect that. I expected that being a heel, he'd turn on Attano and join the bad guys. The fact he didn't makes this whole story not only more unique but the civil war story more captivating at the same time. Heel or Face won't always mean good or bad in this one.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  • Is Klaus Way not choosing a side?
  • How will Redgrave respond?
  • How will Foley feel about Destructo not saving him?
  • When will we see Tombstone next?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

The Wolf Pup. I thought the parallels drew between Tombstone/Gravedigger and the theme worked really well and the writing was top notch from our world champion.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

I'm happy with how things are progressing. There's a great underlying story here that will slowly bring us to the boil on Nox/Destructo and Foley/Doom. I'm interested to see how everyone gets along in the main event and how Foley will react to being hung out to dry.

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

(Three moments of the show that stood out to you and why.)

  1. ... ORIGINS I: I love this as a bit of a difference to what we've come to know of the Circus. We're getting more and more of this family atmosphere from within the ranks of Klaus. The fact that there was so much emphasis on keeping her safe, that they welcomed Michaela in with open arms and she became part of the family - that's how they see each other, that runs deep. I also love the fact that they could teach her any trick she wanted. I wonder whether that's a training and learning type thing or some kind of Klaus magic that turns her into the act she wants to become.
  2. ... HELPERS: We saw Mara last week, being saved by Destructo. Now this, Felix Foley running a beacon of light, an orphanage of sorts in amongst this mess that Arcadia has become. That's a really interesting character development for him that fits so perfectly. I think that moment where we see Felix's smiling eyes and know that the little girl is going to be okay, that's a cool moment.
  3. ... DESTRUCTO! DESTRUCTO! DESCTRUCTO! We always had to have this moment, where Doom comes back and the Besties stare each other down. That's one layer. But to also have this layer of the crowd calling for Destructo, Doom telling Foley that he's not the hero they think, and him not showing to come to his aide, that's pretty cool. What gets it onto the list here is a very simple two lines that are oh so important to the emotion going on here...

Foley stammers. “But I loved you…”

Doom nods in agreement. “And in my own way, I you.”

Then the Death Valley Driver... Brutal.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

(What questions has the show left you with?)

  1. What does this mean for Gravedigger now that Tombstone is back, and immortal?
  2. I thought that the alliance of Kalus and Redgrave made sense, what is Way playing at, and how will Redgrave respond?
  3. What is Night hunting for... Why Narcissa?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

(Which promo was your favourite of the week?)

I have been away this week, so didn't read as many as I usually do.

I really liked Broccoli from Felix - I love the way he adds a little bit of a context flashback at the start, then uses that concept to draw parallels to his opponent. He pulls all of the threads of vegetables, and how he might have misjudged them, the acquired taste of a kid growing up and trying foods they used to hate. It almost seems like he's bringing it around to saying he misjudged Anton... He indicates it, draws you into that line of thinking... then he shatters the mirror with a simple word, "yuk."

Awesome writing.

But, not wanting to only list the #1 here, I thought I'd also give some love to THE PERFECT MOULD

I thought this was a really creative idea, looking at Maxwell as more of an architect of his own legacy through Destructo than a poor father who gave up everything at the final hour. The idea of showcasing all of this on the screens of Agora is interesting, rather than it being an in-person scene - I think that fits Nero really well.

He pulled on threads I hadn't even thought of, made parallels that made sense out of things that I had decided on differently in my own mind, that's the power of quality writing, to get people to see things in a new light. Well done.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

(How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)

This is an interesting segment for sure. It shows the lengths people will go (well Drewitt, but he won't be alone in this mentality) in this war. It's ever-reaching, and hiding away from it all has cost EMM something dear now that they invaded his home and started attacking his people, burning it to the ground.

The response, the Seekers banding together to fight him back, it's only going to escalate from here. I'm really interested to see where it will escalate too. Drewitt and Grimskull have unfinished business and Gemini/EMM know that they're never going to stop until they get their demands. Well, I'm interested in the mindset of Grimskull here - being that voice of reason to Drewitt. How deep does that go in him?

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

(Three moments of the show that stood out to you and why.)

  1. ... Cirque du Soleil: Klause and Co sure is a big threat for the World Championship; I wonder how long this will last. Beautifully writen.
  2. ...  Helpers: Quite an interesting character development for Felix Foley, so which puppet did Jade choose?
  3. ...  Sprinkle a Little Sunshine I love the fact that the war is not just affecting the ring but out of it and such. It's such a heartwarming segment where Sunshine helps to keep Savor business running

BURNING QUESTIONS:

(What questions has the show left you with?)

  1. Is Mr.Sunshine going to align himself with Savour or is there ulterior motives to it?
  2. What's gonna happen to Mighty Mighty and Red?
  3.  Who is siding with who in this civil war?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

(Which promo was your favourite of the week?)

Unfortunately, I'll be honest, I didn't read any promo as I have some personal issue I need to attend to and I shall read the future rp and give my thoughts on them.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

(How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)

It's interesting so far with what Mighty is doing. Seeking Red's help to get out from the contract he has with Klause but right now, I'm interested with what's going to happen between the both of them. Is the deal still on?

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

  1. Tombstone isn't done. I was probably the one person here who thought he was well and truly dead, and would maybe only appear again as an apparition to Gravedigger or something like that, but I was wrong and I love the reasoning behind it. Death himself is stepping in, and I suspect he's a more powerful ally than Igor! I would not like to be in Gravy's shoes.
  2. Klaus standing tall over his two opponents. With this being his first time at the top of the card for a PPV, this was a great way to show him as a very real threat and give him some love. With him seemingly on neither side of the war, I wonder if Zeus will punish him or just leave him be as a distraction for George?
  3. Helpers. I said last week that the stories from the civil war were likely to be frequent top 3s from me, and it is again. A great way to show off people's characters and build up the world and enormity of events going on. And seriously, who isn't a lil proud of Felix for this?

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  • What is Nero's angle here? He's clearly looking for information, presumably to hang over someone's head, but whose and why?
  • How long before George Cade comes after Klaus for the death of his brother? Also, I just wanna know more about Zephyr - He seems nice.
  • Sunshine is literally endangering children. Who the fuck is he really, and how long before he abandons all pretences? He ain't my homie no mo'.
  • Are Grimskull and Drewitt capable of remaining on the same page? War went WAY too far.
  • Is Night the somehow-survived Paragon?
  • Who can stop Jasper Redgrave?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

Little wolf pup. I expected it to be like CM Punk's 'snake' promos at the start, but differentiated itself with the conduct of the 'saviour', and that made absolute sense with Gravedigger's history, plus it was very well told anyway. The callback to Tombstone at the end was a great way to really twist the knife too, good bit of mockery!

HAVE YOUR SAY:

I have no clue how Eclipse's internal logic is working related to her tantrum about Ayame - if anything, the turn on her probably made it all the sweeter! She's clearly unhinged (which, tbh, fits given she willingly married Gravy) and just like last week, that is another direction open for me writing-wise, which is great - given me an idea for the inevitable showdown. Looking forward to finding out more about why she's reacted so angrily to Ayame's attempted intervention!

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

(Three moments of the show that stood out to you and why.)

  1. Helpers: I Praised it last week as a little bonus one but this week it was a stand out. I thoroughly enjoyed it, character is showing through on the fighters and it was actually a very nice character moment for Felix Foley in that bit.
  2. Cirque de Soleil: Really good way to set up Klaus as an unpredictable and dangerous force in the title scene, with the way it's set up and the dominance it almost seems like a third chaotic faction in the war as a whole but that's just me fantasy booking.
  3. Sprinkle a little sunshine: The Sunshine character is pretty interesting and I love the way in which he communicates. But also it's just really cool to see him be a really good manipulator.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  1. What role will Tombstone Play with the grim reaper sending him back?
  2. What occurred that caused the Night to want Vengeance?.
  3. What's the endgame for Mister Sunshine's plan.

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

Little wolf pup: it was a very simple promo and comparison but also very effective. Using height imagery was an extra nice layer. There were a lot of little nice things in this that made a great promo as a whole.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

Ayame wasn't really used much outside of her match so can't really speak to that. But the usage of Eclipse backstage at red snow added some nice fire to the feud.

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

1. In Hell, It’s Hot: What a badass way for Tombstone to make his return! It feels like his comeback is building toward an intense rivalry and an even sicker match with Gravedigger. The tension is exciting, and I can’t wait to see where this goes.

2. Helpers: I’m really enjoying these Civil War stories. It’s refreshing to see how they expand the world of Arcadia, adding layers of depth and intrigue to the setting.

3. The Main Event: Jasper Redgrave vs. Gravedigger: This match was incredibly well-written. I loved the frustration building in Jasper Redgrave as he struggled to put Gravedigger away. It was a great story told through the action very well done!

BURNING QUESTIONS:

• Is Graves on a path away from his almighty purpose?

• Will Savor silence Captain Arcadia?

• How dark is Sunshine going to get, if at all?

• When will Gravedigger finally snap after being repeatedly called Ferryman instead of Valkyrie?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

Puppet Inspiration: This promo felt raw and honest it really cuts deep. Destructo Boy has quickly become one of my favourite characters since Red Snow. The layers being added to his story are phenomenal.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

First off, FUCK YEAH!!! I finally hit the Top 3 of the week, and it means so much to me. With so many talented writers here, to have my promo included alongside absolute stallions like Felix Foley (Mel) and Jasper Redgrave (Brian) is a huge milestone for me in OSW. Making the Top 3 was one of my goals here, and achieving it feels incredible.

It’s also really interesting to see what’s going on with Ezekiel Graves. His interest in shady businesses seems like a shift, but it’s intriguing, and I’m excited to see how it plays out.

Finally, it was pretty great to see my match for this week hyped up on the main page. This Warzone was full of personal firsts for me and my boy Graves, and I couldn’t be happier about it.

El Mariachi Muerte and Eclipse have reacted to this post.
El Mariachi MuerteEclipse

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

  1. Helpers: I love these glimpses into the lives of ordinary people impacted by the Civil War. It’s fascinating how OSW characters keep intersecting with these moments too—like Destructo saving the trampled child last week and Felix Foley lending a helping hand this. The way these segments reflect each character’s personality while tying into the unfolding storylines is a really sweet touch.
  2. Front Row Seat: Jasper Redgrave’s appearance in this segment hit me with a wave of nostalgia, reminiscent of the Attitude Era when someone invested in a match would take a ringside seat and inevitably get involved - be that during or after the action. It’s a classic move that still packs a punch.
  3. It’s Hot in Hell: I suspected we hadn’t seen the last of Tombstone, though I did wonder how he’d make his way back to Arcadia and how long it would take. This week answered both questions with a swift encounter with The Grim Reaper. It also raises intriguing questions about The Reaper’s nature. Could he, like Death in Volumes I and II, inhabit other beings or move between worlds, or is he confined to hell?

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  • How will Gravedigger and Mortis react to Tombstone’s return to Arcadia?
  • George Cade and Klaus Way are... brothers?
  • Can Grimskull calm Drewitt before his fury erupts against Gemini and EMM?

FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

The Single Scallop: I only managed to read promos through Friday due to work travel, but Savor’s piece stood out. Comparing an opponent to a scallop and making it work is no small feat, but Jord did it proud this week.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

It’s still early days to figure out Nero’s motives or purpose. He hasn’t spoken, but his actions suggest he’s got something on Red or Graves. Mighty seems like an innocent bystander for now, but this is OSW... We’re probably being set up for something right out of the ordinary.
