TOP THREE MOMENTS:

(Three moments of the show that stood out to you and why.)

  1. The Pantheons Fall. What the double fuck just happened!? What a fucking way to end an anniversary show. Is Zeus dead? What about Ares, or Narcissa, or Nox or Doom? This was absolutely shocking. I left the show with my jaw at my feet.
  2. Klaus Way: Homestead. These segments exploring more about Klaus Way have to go somewhere at some point and as we unravel his history, I wonder where that leads us when it comes to Zephyr, Michaela, George Cade and Harold Attano. Learning that Klaus had a different way in mind for his circus really does open the mind.
  3. Fractured Alliances. I wasn't a fan of this segment last week. It felt a bit flat to me but this week, the writing was superb. It really went to another level and the writing carried it further than it did last week. There's a layer of dissension that wasn't there before and now it adds a new element to Invasion and the so called alliances that have been made.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  • What will Gravedigger do next?
  • Will Mortis survive, be injured or even walk again?
  • Is Zeus, the Pantheon or a whole multitude of characters alive!? Who survived!?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

The best promo I read this week belonged to Gemini. It was absolutely inspiring and this week I managed to read it before I wrote, which honestly made me write much better. I normally don't read a promo before I have a chance to write mine, or I'm within those first few days of posting. This week went differently and I have to say, my promo quality is credit to the quality of Mike's promo. It was amazing.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

Woof. That was one hell of a show, from start to finish and more importantly the start and the finish. I love this story with Gravedigger and the emotion held between the betrayal and his former mentor. I also loved that Digger calling him Ezra made him remember what they did and he snapped out of his almost emotional trance to deliver what could be a brutal blow.

I also need to talk about that show close. Holy fuck. That was one hell of a fucking way to end Warzone and if I wasn't excited for Invasion (spoiler, I was), I would be now. I can't wait to see what happens next.

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

(Three moments of the show that stood out to you and why.)

  1. ... THE PANTHEON'S FALL: To say I wasn't expecting this the week before Invasion would be an understatement. I thought that heading into Invasion, with everything we've seen from Ares being the figure of power throughout the story, that the Pantheon would show their strength and power heading into this week. It's not just the explosion though, it's the discussion behind closed doors. That the Pantheon are far from on the same page in terms of strategy. But the explosion - we're going to lose some pretty key figures from OSW lore as a result of this!
  2. ...  GRAVE BETRAYAL: Love the display of powers here, the back and forth and the place that Mortis is left in... And this badass line that punctuates all of that as a standout moment - "You may be immortal, Ezra," he murmured, lifting the weapon high, "but dying always hurts."
  3. ... SWITCHAROO: In the story of Felix Foley and Jackson Cade, the only people who can really understand the amount of loss and pain each have gone through is each other. The image of Felix taking the hand of Jackson Cade is a damned powerful moment.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

(What questions has the show left you with?)

  • Who survives the explosion of the Pantheon?
  • What's the impact on Mortis?
  • There's alliances being formed left right and centre here. We're leading towards something big. But who is going to betray who first?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

(Which promo was your favourite of the week?)

It's a real toss up for me between Gemini and Tombstone - at a push I'd say I liked Gemini's a bit better. They both had great metaphors and unpacked those brilliantly. I just like the image that Gemini presented a bit better than the metaphor of a wall. It felt really personal, which is a great place to write from. That idea of staring into a mirror so long that you don't recognise the person staring back, that's powerful. And the fact that the mirror is cracked, unpacking that, that really took it to the next level.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

(How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)

EMM - Very interesting. Part of me thought that Apokolypsis were going to either pull together, or battle it out at Invasion in order to get on the same page. But this, there's something really interesting in the response from Drewitt and Grimskull. Something that Narcissa has pulled together that could change the game itself in this war, but what? Enough for Drewitt and Grimskull to tow the line and turn on their former friends. Narcissa has them by the short and curlies, what the heck is the favour she called in for them.

SUNSHINE - This was one of the most emotionally intense segments I think I've seen for Sunshine. In every character's development, there's a moment where we reach a crossroads for the character. This could be that crossroad. The image of him being left looking at the blood stained bowtie is damned powerful. But what this means for the battle against Arcadia, I'm not so sure. Does the impact of the war make him more or less likely to actually reveal his secret?

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

(Three moments of the show that stood out to you and why.)

  1. The Pantheon's Fall. That one is just yeah a really huge moment it was big felt big and left a ton of questions leading into Invasion.
  2. Grave Betrayal: This one kinda just deserves to be on here for the line "you may be immortal but dying always hurts" but yeah the 'Ghost' of Tombstone forever being one to haunt Gravedigger
  3. Good News, Bad News: I dunno this one was super simple no really big lore drops. But the story of Red and Mighty Mighty has been one that has been intriguing me as I've been reading the results so this just popping up raised an eye brow. Like there's gotta be something deeper to it. But I also liked the little building of Mighty being forced into rebuilding the circus.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

(What questions has the show left you with?)

  1. Has anyone survived the Pantheon's fall?
  2. With all the alliances forming pre invasion how will they stand up or will invasion fray them?
  3. Is it really that easy for Red to get Mighty out of his deal with the circus? what strings are attached to it?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

HAVE YOUR SAY:

Yeah it's been a while since I dropped one of these. Curse the whole moving process but either way I've tried keeping up whenever a show has been dropped and overall. I've really loved the direction taken for Ayame. She's been pushed out of her comfort zone and put into a whole thing with Nero a character I would've never thought to put with. But they actually make for a pretty interesting dynamic. It's nice to see the feud with Eclipse is at least continuing for a little bit. Be it in the multiman match. Overall great work.

TOP THREE MOMENTS

1. Homestead - These glimpses into Klaus Way’s early years are a real highlight. Right from the start, it was clear that young Klaus had no interest in following his family's business legacy. Even as a child, there was a rebellious streak in him - a desire to push boundaries, defy authority (i.e his father), and carve out something far more sinister than his parents ever envisioned. His cold and ruthless view of his father’s workers, seeing them as mere spectacles for his twisted circus, speaks volumes about his psyche. But where exactly does that mindset come from? Because it's certainly not his family.

2. Switcharoo - This moment stood out because it brought together two of OSW’s biggest fan-favorites in a monumental way. With Doom and Jasper Redgrave - arguably the top heels - united, it was only fitting that Felix Foley and Jackson Cade would join forces for a classic good-versus-evil showdown. I could almost feel the sheer electricity of the crowd when Cade extended his hand, and Felix accepted it. An all-around phenomenal segment.

3. The Pantheon’s Fall - Could it be anything else? Last week’s ending was explosive, but this took things to another level. The Pantheon was already fracturing, each member seemingly on a different page. Tension was in the air, but what actually transpired was beyond anything I expected. Make no mistake about it - this was Volume III’s Tap Room moment. The biggest, most shocking event witnessed since we entered Arcadia, and now - beneath that rubble - countless questions remain unanswered.

BURNING QUESTIONS

  • Who survived the explosion?
  • Who orchestrated the attack?
  • Will Mister Sunshine expose The Zookeeper’s identity?
  • Can Igor Mortis make it to Invasion?

FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK

I didn’t get through a lot of promos this week, but I really enjoyed 10 Years in 2 by Doom/Frank. The nostalgic callbacks to OSW’s early days were a great touch, and he did a good job weaving them into the present.

HAVE YOUR SAY

The post-trios match segment was everything you want in the lead-up to a major event - pure chaos. Throwing all the competitors into one explosive scenario and letting them tear each other apart set the perfect tone. Despite recent reconciliations, there was no sign of strategy or alliances here - rather a ruthless free-for-all. That’s exactly how I expect the Invasion match to unfold Saturday night. When the stakes are this high, friendships mean nothing. A shot at the World Championship is on the line - an opportunity that comes around only a few times a year - and I'm hype to see who will seize the moment.

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

1. Grave Betrayal: What can I say about this amazing opening for the 10-year card? It was intense and super cinematic. The ending Mortis saying he couldn’t feel his legs made the match between Gravedigger and Tombstone incredibly intense. The character development between these two is something we’ll remember forever.

2. The Pantheon’s Fall: What a way to kick off the journey into year 11. I’ve been excited to see more of The Pantheon during my time in OSW. Seeing these larger-than-life figures potentially getting harmed raises both the excitement and shock levels. Great storytelling throughout.

3. Good News, Bad News: I’m not entirely sure how this will play out with Red leaving, but you have to give it to Creative for keeping the storyline for Mighty going strong. It’s a clever way to continue the narrative and keep us all guessing each week.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

• Was the fire an inside job?

• Who survived the Pantheon fire?

• Will Mighty Mighty get out of his contract? And if not, will we see a Red Death?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

A Brick Wall: I loved this promo by Tombstone. He turned a basic idea of building a wall into a sharp, emotional, and memorable promo. It’s smart, ruthless, and really sticks with you.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

What an honour it was to be part of the OSW 10-year card I’ve always loved these “go-home” shows right before the PPV. Graves had a brilliantly written match, and the Invasion segment was badass, making the whole match even bigger. I’m super pumped for Invasion, especially since it’s Graves’ first time it’s hard not to get excited. I always love the interactions among the diverse characters in OSW, and this week was no different.

Thanks again to everyone for your hard work!

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

  1. ... The Pantheon's Fall. As soon as I read the title, I KNEW it was gonna be big, and boy did you not disappoint. This is gonna have massive repercussions - Who dies? Who survives? Who did it and how the hell could they pull it off (my money's on a traitor, Project Valkyrie style)? What reprisals await?
  2. ... Mighty Mighty, NXT Level Champion. I mean no disrespect to Gray by this, but I am so happy to see the latest 'batch' of OSWers all flourishing. Between Ayame, Savor, Mighty and Ezekiel (my apologies if I've forgotten anyone), all are doing great and being rewarded with some degree of success. I know being new can be intimidating/anxiety-inducing, but hopefully the success of this new wave makes them realise they aren't 'the new guy', they aren't and outsider, they're one of us.
  3. ... Klaus Way - Homestead. I've really enjoyed this deep dive delving into his childhood, as well as the differences between him and his father. Now I'm wondering, did something happened to Klaus that made him such a sicko, or was he just... Born wrong? Either way, looking forward to both the continuation of the Way family story and the answer to why Klaus is who he is.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  • Again, will Red manage to pull through for Mighty, and if so, how?
  • Can Sunshine pull himself back from the edge and be the hero the kids of Arcadia need right now? I hope so.
  • What does Ares make of the post-trios match brawl? I can't help but feel he's disappointed that his whole 'recruitment' plan hasn't borne fruit.
  • Will the alliance of Cade and Felix last longer than just one night?
  • Momma Foley can't be dead... Right? 🙁

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

I'mma be real - since my memory is shit, I read promos the week after so I can remember what to put in feedback. However, I've been very much under the weather this week so haven't read my fair share of other people's work. Sorry guys.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

Again, loving Eclipse being a weaselly lil bitch, trying to dodge the brawl and pick her spot (And I also love she was unsuccessful!). Super hyped for Invasion even if I'm most likely not gonna win it, and can't wait to see the match make a main event star outta someone ^_^

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

(Three moments of the show that stood out to you and why.)

  1. The Pantheon's Fall - Always good to see a big moment happen at a regular show. This is a big shake up of the power structure that Zeus has been relying on. What does it mean for all of the characters that we know are a part of that group. Doom? Ares? Etc.
  2. The Monster in the Light - I will continue to talk about how awesome the way the subtleties of Mr. Sunshine are being handled. Just love how we get to see that this character has multiple sides. Captain Arcadia is out here showing that he's a good guy determined to do what he needs to do.
  3. Klaus Way: Homestead - Good flashbacks to show us that Klaus has always been a complete dick. I'm very interested to see what happens to his parents, as I don't think it'll be pretty.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

Who survived the explosion?

What is going to happen with Red, Mighty, and the Circus? There's a twist coming somewhere. I can feel it.

Who wins Invasion?

How badly is Igor Mortis injured?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

That Tombstone promo was brilliant. Always a pleasure to go against Con-man. Just excellent work always.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

Pretty good setup for this eight man tag. I'm really interested to see where this story goes. My only eyebrow raise at this time is that it feels like Drewitt and Muerte are the focus of the Apokalypsis four part of this story. Grimskull's just Drewitt's buddy, and Gem is kind of just there. I'm hoping to see some meat on them bones as the story develops.

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

1. Holy shit that ending, The Pantheon's fall indeed. We've seen people go after individual members of the pantheon but trying and seemingly succeeding to attack everybody in one fell swoop is bigger than any of those attacks. I can only think of a few who would survive but I don't have high hopes for our not as used pantheon members.

2. Homestead was great to read, we don't often get to see the backstory of our characters especially childhood. Klaus was almost wholesome here until he called his performers commodities, he sees them worth more than what they're doing but he doesn't really see them as people.

3. Invade! Invade! Invade! I do always love a good chaotic brawl before a big event like Invasion and this one didn't disappoint, the reason I'm putting this here is Ares watching it all. What's going on in his head? Does he just love the violence or does he have something planned?

BURNING QUESTIONS:

Who survived the explosion and do I have to create a new character? Lol

Why is hearing his name like a pavlovian trigger for Tombstone?

How did Klaus break from his father?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

I don't envy Dean making this decision but I think I'd choose Gemini this week by a razor thin margin over Tombstone. Laner made me feel things with that promo and it cut deeper into the emotional side of Tombstone that we rarely get to see.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

I do always love when I get to see Narcissa in leader mode and two segments with that including her trademark stank she says to Attano, perfect writing and I felt spoiled this week. Then there's the pantheon falling segment which will mean a lot for her either way things fall and I'm real intrigued to see the fallout.

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

(Three moments of the show that stood out to you and why.)

  1. Mighty wins gold! I know Mighty’s been working hard to get that first big win and I know what it’s like. I still remember my first Double Feature Feud with Zac as Impaler, so I want to express how impressed and proud I am of Mighty here.
  2. Good news, Bad news – I am this whole segment came across as ominous. Just those final words from Red, "After our match," the Man in the Hat says, "I'll make sure that you won't set foot in the Circus ever again." Come across as so very foreboding.
  3. The Pantheon's Fall – Just damn this was sudden and from out of left field. This is a quintessential OSW Twist priming a big show. So many questions that will follow in the next part of my feedback. Also, just loved these words, “The world erupted” friggin’ great touch.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

Who survived the explosion in the Pantheon?

Was the explosion done by the Seekers?

Was it a calculated risk to clear the Pantheon of Decenters and allow Zeus to have less restraints?

What’s the meaning behind Red’s words?

What is Mr. Sunshine hiding? I am so engrossed in his descent into madness.

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

I have to go with “Where were you Hero?” from Mighty, I know I’m giving him a bunch of props this week but he knocked up a really good piece of work here. I have to say I am proud of him capturing his first Championship here in OSW with this one. Loved the “Where were you when I needed you” angle he played with here.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

(How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)

So, I am going to do both my characters at the same time for this as Retaliation was a fantastic representation of both Nox and Harold. With Nox dropping the ambush on Gemini and being able to kind of soak in the spotlight. While Harold being the calvary is always a good touch. His being selfless and a bit foolhardy always seem on point. Now, I have to say I wonder where Nox is in all the Pantheon Chaos and were he and Doom contributing factors? A lot of plates spinning in OSW.
