TOP THREE MOMENTS:

(Three moments of the show that stood out to you and why.)

  1. i would say ares’ presence throughout the whole show was a top moment to me. from the jump, he set the tempo with the preservationists about what the plan was moving forward and then to end the show, he once again made his presence felt with the way he spearheaded the attack on emm, and then how he swiftly took out cade who wanted to come help him. if this was any indication of how things will be moving forward, i cant wait to see whats gonna happen next.
  2. ive really been enjoying the gradual like, unraveling of mr sunshine and who he really is. i thought that we might see that be fully realized with captain arcadia and i would say that he did a great job at beginning to peel back the layers but theres clearly more work to be done. very excited to see what these interactions with felix will look like, and what side he might choose as well.
  3. calypsos return and presence in this show was a powerful one. i really did enjoy the scene she had with gravedigger for its vivid imagery and because of the backstory behind it now. i was always interested in this character for how different it was, but im interested to see now if it could be taken up a notch now, especially with the motivation to destroy gravedigger now in the mix.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

(What questions has the show left you with?)

which side of the war will sunshine choose?

will mighty ever be freed?

what is the seekers plan as a whole moving forward?

what does the attack on emm mean for gemini?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

(Which promo was your favourite of the week?)

i enjoyed la mascara the most this week i would say. the idea was very strong and consistent from the jump and i thought that it did a good job at deconstructing emm.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

(How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)

i’m enjoying antons involvement so far in the civil war even if at a smaller scale to compared to some of the other major players. i just feel like its a great time to be in the fold right now with such a massive story at play right now, and im just excited grateful to be apart of it all. i got no complaints at all right now tho, just excited to see how/what antons involvement will be moving forward.

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

1. The Hunt for Gemini: This was a great segment. I love seeing different parts of Arcadia, and getting introduced to a new character like Sykes immediately hooked me. The writing was excellent, and I’m super excited to learn more about Agora.

2. Feeding Time at the Zoo: Each week, I find myself connecting more and more with Mighty Mighty. The way he’s being treated is just wrong, and segments like this make you feel for him. He’s becoming one of the most lovable characters in OSW, and this storyline gets more gripping by the week. Someone has to help him eventually… right? Amazing progression.

3. Empty Promises: I’ve read this segment a few times, and this line really got me: “Forget that for now.” George shifts gears. “Let’s talk about the bombing.” Maybe I’m way off, but I have a feeling George had something to do with digging up CJ. It’s a wild theory, but this segment had me completely invested. If I’m wrong, I’m wrong but either way, it’s a killer story.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

• Who is the Zookeeper?

• Who dug up C.J.? And how did they get away with it?

• Will Mighty finally get food and water?

• Is Gemini okay?

• (Random thought) Could Mister Sunshine turn full-blown villain and weaponize the children? (This part had me thinking: “Sunshine’s smile remained, but behind it, something darker flickered.”)

• Did George Cade have something to do with CJ being dug up?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

Soap:  I really liked how this wasn’t just about beating Hatchet in a match; it was about setting him straight and making sure he doesn’t go down the same road as the kid from the past. The “washing your mouth out with soap” line was a great touch it fit perfectly.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

This week was a special one for me as a writer. Getting to be in a tag team match was a different experience I’ve always been a bit selfish in other feds, just focusing on my own promo. But here in OSW, I got to work with Jordan, and it gave me a huge appreciation for how the tag team system works here.

Win or lose, I was proud of the outcome. Knowing we had to work together to do this right made it even better. Jordan was always available, and bouncing ideas off each other was a blast. I’ve always respected him as a writer, but I gained even more respect seeing how approachable and collaborative he was.

I also really enjoyed the Graves vs. Nero segment—it reignited the rivalry in the best way. The transition from match to segment to match was seamless, and it flowed perfectly. I said this last week, but I love the credit system storyline. It’s something I never would’ve thought of when creating my character, but it’s led to some incredible storytelling. The multiple copies of Nero were a sick touch.

Another killer week. Can’t wait for what’s next.

Well, my first feedback got a "you are not allowed to do this" result when I tried to post, so this is the cliff notes version.

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

(Three moments of the show that stood out to you and why.)

  1. The nWo style beatdown on EMM at the end. Especially with Cade and Caido both trying to help and getting stopped. It's absolute anarchy.
  2. Ayame biting her own lip to mist Caido. Brilliant. Will this make Caido reconsider offering Ayame the lucha mask?
  3. Captain Arcadia and Destructo in a feud is a dream one for me. Just perfect. Two characters with similar stories that took different sides of the fork. Can Arcadia bring back some of Faith's... faith or will Destructo make Arcadia more ruthless?

BURNING QUESTIONS:

Where do Sunshine's allegiance's lie?

How will Zeke get one over on Nero, who seems to have his number every time they face off?

Can Mighty Mighty escape Klaus's grip before it kills him?

MY FAVORITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

Soap from Felix Foley. Loved the "get off my lawn, whippersnapper" vibe of the promo, and I think it really fits for Felix to lean on his age. It even fits with the Sunshine dynamic.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

Gemini - This hunt isn't going to go so well for my girl is it? Love the callback to the Sinon story with Sykes in the Narcissa segment.

Grimskull - If it isn't perhaps the two most brutal and reckless fighters being paired off. I feel like Grimmy was sent after Hatchet because he could match his brutality if Hatch isn't down to join the Preservationists.

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

(Three moments of the show that stood out to you and why.)

  1. Hunting Season II takes the cake, because of what's happened! The power show off of Ares, the near death of Mariachi, Dragon Caido joining in to save his life, all of it's just a fantastic ending segment for a show. We're ramping up, and it's
  2. Feeding Time at the Zoo did a wonderful time of showing the current status of Mighty Mighty and how Klaus is breaking the poor guy. We get to see the truly sadistic nature, and I'm genuinely worried for Mighty Mighty if he continues to stay stuck into this spot he's in.
  3. War of the Role Models! Gotta say, seeing Felix and Sunshine clashing, the pull they both had from the kids, all of it was a wonderful moment to be sure. I'm honestly a bit surprised it's taken this long for these two to feud a bit, but I absolutely adored it.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  • Who really set off the bomb?
  • Who dug up CJ?
  • Can Mighty escape?
  • Where does Sunshine fit into all of this?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

A Witch's Familiar was a welcome and fun promo from Calypso. It had the right spookiness to it, the ambience was just delightful, and I can't wait to see Calypso dominate with stuff like this.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

My poor lad, caught up with the demons in his own head and this ledger, and then Destructo coming out of the woodwork to tempt him across the edge of darkness, to abandon the boy scout line (Which as an old scout, fuckin loved the line drop) and embrace a dark bitter route that he himself went on. I think this one's going to be a fantastic feud overall, and I can't wait to see how it all comes out!

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

(Three moments of the show that stood out to you and why.)

  1. ... MIGHTY LAYS DOWN - We don't do a lot of these type of things in OSW, so when we do, it really well punctuates a storyline. In this one, we get it set up so well in the preceding segment from him being in the cage and the ultimatum from Klaus. Then, he follows up by collapsing in the ring. Really cool writing that earns Klaus some massive heel points while making Mighty more and more the guy that everyone's hearts bleed for - the Arcadian Dream.
  2. ... SYKES - I loved the dialogue between Narcissa and Sykes, who seems like a really cool character. That instant reaction from Sykes of wanting Narcissa to just go away so he didn't have to do whatever it was she came here to draw out of him. Then we have this absolute gem of a line that really took it for me.

“Do you have any idea how dangerous it is to snitch for the Preservationists?” He hissed.

She tilted her head. “Do you have any idea how dangerous it is to not?”

        3. ... CALYPSO'S RAGE - It shows some of the awesome powers that Calypso possesses, which seem heightened by her emotion. The depiction of the rage that burst out of her, the room shaking and the tiles falling off... Then that endless falling, the waking up in the mortuary. That's some damned solid writing!

BURNING QUESTIONS:

(What questions has the show left you with?)

  • Did George Cade have some hand in the bombing? He seemed pretty keen to change the subject.
  • Will Klaus follow his word now that Mighty has followed his, or will he find more ways to torture our Mighty friend?
  • When Jackson Cade makes it, limping his way into Kaos, what exactly will wait for him there? What does Narcissa have in mind for him?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

(Which promo was your favourite of the week?)

La Mascara

I really liked the flow of this. The analogy was really well done, and the voice that came through in the promo was clear. I like the way Caido speaks of luchador, and how he morphs what EMM is to be an abomination of the culture he represents. Being that they're from the same level, this is key in their dislike for each other. Looking at the history assumed between the two, EMM represents everything that was taken from Caido, and this came through really well in the promo.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

(How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)

EMM

Well, honoured first of all to take out #1 - hell of a main event, a really good match to read. Then the beatdown - that brutality on display is a real gulp, but makes one wonder what the response from the Seekers will be to the show of power. Love the storyline, lessgo!

SUNSHINE

YES! This is the storyline I've been waiting for since we started Sunshine. And it comes at the perfect time. the Children who still have a spot in their heart for their original hero in Felix, the response to that from Sunshine. Felix's ability to see past everything sunshine portrays and call it like he sees it, and Sunshine's almost Professor Umbridge type response to Felix's calling him out. This is white hot!

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

(Three moments of the show that stood out to you and why.)

  1. Everything revolving Mighty. Lying down to lose a title on orders to get whatever it was to survive was something that made Mighty even more sympathetic. It was some really powerful stuff.
  2. Felix and Sunshine clashing, it's just something that makes sense between these two characters. And thus it inherently makes the two colliding interesting especially in the raised circumstances and tensions that surround themselves.
  3. Hunting Season: The ominous message of the "Warzone" had begun says it all. This whole episode bookended with Ares gives a message where Zeus was keeping things relatively civil in this war time. But now that the attack of the pantheon had occurred. It's time for full on chaos and stomping out of their enemies. A tone shift for sure.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

Will Klaus follow up on his promise to Mighty?

What Further torments will Calypso have for Gravedigger or will he be able to turn it around?

will Gemini be able to avoid the preservationists or will she suffer the same fate as EMM?

Who was responsible for the bomb?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

I really liked Witch's Familiar. I really love supernatural styled promos, and this one really did take the familiar aspect and fit it really well into the dynamic that is there between hana/ayame. One of the more interesting approaches with an appropriate vibe.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

I think that this one was for lack of a better word cool. The whole temple of the bones segment with her felt like something straight out of Lucha Underground. And emphasizes the instinct that has begun to take over in her.

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

(Three moments of the show that stood out to you and why.)

  1. 'A Better Role Model' is up there fore me - I think if you could put two characters in a feud this would be it, right? It just makes so much sense as a matchup, and I enjoy seeing them face to face, and again in a way that is not typical of how either of them "came up" in OSW.
  2. Chemical X absolutely rattling the skull of Jackson Cade was fun. Taking their compliance with Zeus' rules to the absolute limit like the pair of scumbags they are.
  3. The absolute bloodbath of the final segment - Muerte and Cade both biting off more than they can chew.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

(What questions has the show left you with?)

  • So neither side know who bombed the Pantheon. Who could it be!?
  • What is going on with Ayame, is she losing control? Is someone else influencing her?
  • What's the deal with Sykes? Do we get to know more about him?
  • What has Calypso got in store for Gravedigger. It feels like he is going to be put through the absolute wringer over the coming weeks!
  • Will Hatchet join the preservationists?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

(Which promo was your favourite of the week?)

Let's go for "Soap". A really solid piece that threaded theme and story together very well.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

(How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)

DREWITT

Nothing to add this week as he made no appearance!

KLAUS

Klaus is very bad, isn't he. Literal torture of another human. I am genuinely enjoying having a character that is this malevolent for a change, I usually don't play them! What comes next for Mighty? and just as importantly, what comes next for Klaus - can he ever recover from something like this?

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

  1. I think Hunting Season I and II were top segments for the night. The pressure is really mounting and I can't help but wonder if the Seekers have the kind of muscle needed to be able to take on this group of monsters. Ares himself is a force of nature and he really went above and beyond as a character to establish himself as the one in control of Arcadia in Zeus' absence. I think it should be said, but you don't fuck with Ares.
  2. I loved A Better Role Model here. I've been waiting to see something between Foley and Sunshine and this was just an awesome opening segment for that. I really enjoyed the tension between these two and I think the writer did a wonderful job with adding little details and description that really helped convey the tone.
  3. Last is Feeding Time at the Zoo. I can say I'm not alone in loving Mighty Mighty as a character. He's really shaping up to be a massive underdog that you want to root for each week. Being forced to lay down for Narcissa is a huge blow and I hope to see him break free from Klaus. And speaking of Klaus, these segments speak volumes about how demented he really is.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  • Who blew up the Pantheon?
  • Who dug up CJ Thorpe?
  • Is Hatchet going to join the Preservationists?
  • Can Gemini continue to evade Narcissa?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

I'm giving this one to La Mascara from El Dragon Caido. I really enjoyed the theme and felt it was a great theme to use against a fellow luchador like Muerte. It didn't win but I thought it was a great piece nonetheless.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

Jackson Cade: Man, Jackson is going to be really hurting in these next few weeks. Between getting demolished by Chemical X and having Ares clothesline his head off, I have to wonder if he'll even make it to Kaos in one piece. On top of trying to find out who dug up CJ, I'm pretty hooked this month.

Hatchet: Color me interested! I think Grimskull and Hatchet is gonna be a fun match up, especially if it includes Grim trying to get Hatchet to side with the Preservationists despite his obvious misgivings. Only notes I have for the writer would be that I think Hatchet should be more vulgar and indignant. My man has zero tact.

  1. A Better Role Model, The confrontation with Felix and Sunshine was wonderful.  Sunshine questioning whether or not Felix is a glutton for punishment and Felix agree he may very well be.  Then just the cloud of choosing a side hanging over Sunshine in all this.  Does he side with Felix or let jealousy dictate his decision making.  It’s a wonderful story to see play out.
  2. Feeding time at the Zoo, oh I thought I fucking hated Klaus before but the type of coercion he’s using is just fucking diabolical.  Poor Might two times deserves better and Matt Ruby condoning it on commentary… fuck that guy too.  But I seriously like how this showcased the depths of depravity Klaus Way will stoop to.  I also still have the story of Zephyr sticking in my head.  But this was a great character piece for both Mighty and Klaus when accompanied with match right after.  I feel so much Sympathy for Mighty.
  3. Understand, okay so where is Destructo on the alignment chart these days.  Because I am not sure if he’s an antihero or if he’s finally lived long enough to see himself become a villain with actions like this.  Tearing down a man who’s already torn himself down to the studs.  Talk about kicking Arcadia while he was down.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

Whose side is Sunshine on?

Will Mighty get Fed?

What side is Destructo On?  With this Confrontation with Cap. It makes me guess.

Can Graves get the Church’s Credits back?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

Soap, I loved the comparison Felix made to the child he failed to Hatchet.  It makes me feel the person he failed could’ve been Hatchet himself.  I also loved the idea of Foley washing Hatchet’s mouth out with soap.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

Nox: I loved that Nox came across so threatening this episode.  The whole beatdown of Jackson. Nox getting in Jackson’s face and going right up to the line of accusing him of killing Doom.  This whole week he came across badass and threatening as hell.

Harold: No real presence this week as he’s gone to ground.
