Quote from El Mariachi Muerte on 19 March 2025, 03:02TOP THREE MOMENTS:
(Three moments of the show that stood out to you and why.)
- ... SOULBREAKER III - Ooooooof. That was a hell of a way to go. That moment where Caido is reaching out with trembling hands, looking over the body of Muerte. That's some deep, deep writing. There's something way more than "oh no, they killed a fellow luchador" in that response. I just don't know what, but I have a hunch.
- ... CEASELESS - I love these kind of segments, where we wonder what is reality and what is a dream. If the dream means anything and if so, what the purpose of it all is. There's definitely something in the subconscious at play here.
- ... ACTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES - This is an angle that I always love exploring. It's essentially what I was getting to explore in the early days of VTV with Kasabian, before that got shut down. I always felt a bit gutted that I never got to play out that storyline. But seeing a little taste of it here is awesome. Mighty goes in trying to free those under Klaus Way's tutelage, but do they want to be free? For Kasabian, it was that being a slave was his own identity, and with freedom he lost that identity. With the freaks, there's potentially a bit of that at play too, along with losing the only thing they've ever known as family. I love this.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
(What questions has the show left you with?)
- What is the relation between EMM and Caido?
- What do the dead have with Gravedigger? Is this a response to him being in the role now, or something more put on by the powers of Tombstone?
- Now that more lines are drawn in the war, what kind of soldiers will we see being added to either side?
- Will Zeus nuke the entire place at Red Snow?
MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:
(Which promo was your favourite of the week?)
The Spoiled Brat
I love the way that Foley analyses people's stories and makes them seem so petty. The way he goes at everything Destructo has gone through and boils it down to some spoiled brat throwing a tantrum is something I'd never think of - and he makes it work. It hits hard too, because actually, it's definitely the attitude of a lot of the spoiled little brats that I teach (I mean lovely children... I like my job). A really interesting promo.
'Your father died. Life got hard. And instead of standing tall, instead of fighting through the storm like a real man, you quit.
You decided being a hero wasn’t for you anymore. Not because it was wrong, not because it wasn’t worth it, but because it didn’t feel good anymore.
Because it wasn’t fun anymore.'
This... Just so poetic.

EMM
El Mariachi Muerte has been a character that I've really poured my heart into, but I've always at the same time stood by those massive moments where a sacrifice is needed for the sake of the story - for this place to keep being as awesome as it is, we need moments like these. The creative beast wins. I felt that way with the end of Vision, and I feel that with EMM. It's always a freaking jawdropper.SUNSHINEOh, well I didn't quite see this being the angle it was going in. But I think the Preservationist side of the fence works well for Sunshine. He's got so much wrapped up in this place, so much to protect that disappears if the door is opened. I'm really intrigued to see where this goes now.

EMM

Quote from Eclipse on 19 March 2025, 07:43TOP THREE MOMENTS:
(Three moments of the show that stood out to you and why.)
- Soulbreaker III. I mean... Come on. Both a monumental loss for the Preservationists and OSW, EMM's death was a shocker that I didn't see coming (perhaps I am naive). On top of that, Gemini escaped the ambush (so looking forward to some tasty character development there) and Drewitt is betraying the Preservationists, in a rare but tiny glimmer of hope for the Uprising. Is Grimskull in on it, or will he be surprised when all is revealed? Then there is Caido's involvement - How will he figure into things?
- Speaking of glimmers of hope, Jackson Cade defying the odds in the main event! Good to see he has fight in him and it isn't going to be pure decimation of the world champ up until Kaos. I can't help but wonder if Ares will punish the Preservationists for their failings when the deck was so stacked in their favour - granted I'm not all that familiar with the character, but I can't see him taking the loss with grace. Then again, if the meal next week is what I think it is, maybe that will prove sufficient...
- Actions Have Consequences. Even if it was a situation entirely of his own making, what with the contract, you can't help but feel bad for the Chunk Of Funk. Trying to appeal to the 'better nature' of his colleagues clearly isn't going to work... So what will his next plan of attack be? I can't see him just falling in line. Looking forward to whatever he tries next.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
- Will there be a nice family dinner?
- With Gravedigger seemingly being attended to by Calypso, what next for Tombstone?
- Will Nero destroy his gauntlet, or risk it falling into the wrong hands?
- What are Sunshine's motivations for joining the Preservationists? I can't help but feel it is more than just because Foley might be on the other side.
- How will Nox and Sunshine coexist given their history? Is Nox's experiments partially responsible for how he is now even if there were no seemingly immediate effects?
- Destructo has given up on being a hero, but is he about to go full villain? Dude is being an asshat for sure!
MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:
The Spoiled Brat. I think everyone has had a person in their life we have wanted to say this kinda thing to, so there was definitely a catharsis when reading the promo. It also takes a special talent to spew forth such contempt without seeming like the bad guy, but Mel manages! Absolutely brutal dissection of Destructo's behaviour since losing his father.
HAVE YOUR SAY:
As part of the Preservationist group, Eclipse's personality isn't quite on display, but giving how compelling the civil war story is and how detestable the Preservationists as are a unit, I don't mind at all - I'm suckered in either way! I also wonder what exactly it was that Eclipse found by CJ's grave - I have two working theories, the main one I've hinted at above...

Quote from Wolf Fang Ayame on 19 March 2025, 11:37TOP THREE MOMENTS:
- Soulbreaker 3: I mean not only is it a big gasp to leave on and a big swing in momentum and aggressiveness from the preservationists But it's the death of a character that I rather liked in my short time here. It's just a big shock and leaving with so many questions on top of that with a sliver of hope in the hopelessness leaves an intrique.
- Actions have Consequences: The dire situation that Mighty finds himself in is one that interests me and I could see it going many different directions. Which is actually a really neat thing because he's one of the few characters who feels genuinely trapped by his situation.
- Everything revolving Jackson Cade really. It was a really good hook in the main event to see if he could survive what would really be a tough foe in a den of lions. Followed up by something that will likely be a through line for the next show. Guy is really going through it both physically and mentally leading up to Kaos.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
- What was Found in CJ's Grave?
- What was watching Destructo and The captain?
- What is Caido's relation to EMM?
- Will there be more soldiers joining each side?
MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:
I really liked the "man who walks on water" There was some excellent elemental metaphor there which breathed a ton of life into the work. Which I rather did like.
HAVE YOUR SAY:
I've been having a lot of fun with this storyline and portrayal of Ayame she's gotten more and more active in chasing down threats ever since her encounter with eclipse and I find that rather interesting. I'm not really sure where it can go but I'm kinda excited to see where it will go if that makes any sense.

Quote from Nox on 20 March 2025, 17:58TOP THREE MOMENTS:
(Three moments of the show that stood out to you and why.)
- The Entire Soulbreaker series, everything built up to it so expertly. I could use this to fill my top 3 easily but I feel that would be cheating the system. This whole thing feels like it was designed to be Soul-Crushing if not... breaking? You start with Gemini cornered and what looks like no way out. Then Mr. Sunshine sides with the Preservationists stopping Felix Foley’s rescue attempt of EMM. Leading to Grimskull volunteering to end EMM and then doing so. Caido’s lament at the end of it all was Soul Shattering. The one glimmer of hope we get out of this is Drewitt giving Gemini an idea of how all this will build from here.
- Ceaseless, what fresh hell was this hallucination from? I have to say I am enjoying these moments where Gravedigger is getting his comeuppance. This time it was the memory of Midnight returning to haunt his mind. Is this the way that Calypso and Tombstone are getting their revenge? Are they going to torture and manipulate Gravedigger until he snaps? What is the end game here? I cannot wait to find out.
- Actions Have Consequences, just damn Way has these people brainwashed. Is this how Way has gained compliance from all his followers? Just frickin brutal, Mighty is trying to hold out hope that someone will hear him out and realize Klaus’s way of life isn’t normal and see his side but Ajax wasn’t that guy. He’s about as wishy-washy as dish soap. He cannot catch a break because Klaus apparently hearing all and seeing all in his domain took away the food and drink the Big Chunk of Funk sacrificed his Championship for. Seriously fuck Klaus Way.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
Are all of Way Circus just a cult? Is there “Family” less Simpsons and more... Manson?
What happens to the Seekers now? Will Dragon Caido step up into his shoes and try to help?
Is Drewitt a Mole in the Preservationist's ranks?
How deep will Tombstone and Calypso’s retribution go? I have a feeling it may end in the death of someone close to Gravedigger and Tombstone.
What did the Preservationist offer Sunshine to get him on board?
Who dug up CJ Thorpe?
MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:
Cookies, I really enjoyed the build in this one. The comparison to recipes and the comparison to the heartless, soulless cooking that Savor does to Mama Cade’s home cooking. It was really a well-built and structured piece.
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Nox: Catching a win against some good competition. Then working with Redgrave and Eclipse to get to the bottom of who dug up CJ Thorpe. Then being a Lumberjack at ringside for the Main Event and getting involved. I also love how Nox comes across as a threat even when just part of the Preservationist's Entourage. He has a presence that casts a decent-sized shadow when he’s around and very much enjoyed it.
Harold: He’s underground and didn’t even come up by name on the show. Harold feels conspicuous by his absence.

Quote from Grimskull on 20 March 2025, 19:35TOP THREE MOMENTS:
- The Hunter Calls. There's something epic about the way these segs are being presented. Like in the literary sense. Caido and Ayame are being presented as much bigger than just themselves, as eternal warriors headed on a collision course.
- Ceaseless. Love the Midnight appearance. I think Gravedigger is getting a real crash course on what it means to be the Ferryman. The hatred of those he's ferried.
- Soulbreaker segs. I didn't want to put those here just because they involved my characters, but I think there's a lot to unpack. I'll chat about them before since I feel like their focus was almost entirely on my pair.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
Who killed the lady Arcadia was looking for?
How will Mister Sunshine joining the Preservationists impact the Zookeeper story?
What will Mighty try next to escape?
Can Graves get the gauntlet?
MY FAVORITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:
Cookies just felt like a classic OSW promo, the kind of strong babyface shit I always would strive to write. The "It was love" line was impactful and reminded me of those ways that you'd see the greats like Mel or Cal wrap up their promo before driving it home.
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Gemini - How heartbreaking (or soulbreaking) for Gem to see EMM taken out like that. My favorite line in the seg was her threatening to scorch Arcadia. I think the implication there is huge. Does she still have the witch inside her? Interesting to see in her grief going forward.
Grimskull - I love LOVE that Grimmy was the one who actually made the kill on EMM. Beautiful work that shows who he is these days. The conversation after with Drewitt and Grimmy shows me that these two aren't really out for anyone but themselves. There's also a little something else there that I can't put my finger on.

Quote from Anton Savor on 20 March 2025, 22:08TOP THREE MOMENTS:
(Three moments of the show that stood out to you and why.)
- i mean the death of emm on this show was just absurd. in the sense that its so massive and so significant to this story that i cant even wrap my mind around the fact that it actually happened. i imagined there might have been casualties along the way in this war of course but to a character as big and rich in lore as emm, absolutely no shot. but here we are. i enjoyed how cinematic it read as well as it all went down. from the overview of the scenery, to how grimskull stepped up and actually did the job himself, everything was on point.
- the segment involving calypso and gravedigger was an interesting one. it was very vivid as well and it clearly blurred the lines between reality and a dream for gravedigger. which i dont think matters either way cause hes gettin tortured for what's he done to calypso regardless. very curious to see what level this‘ll be taken to in the coming weeks or so.
- sunshine aligning with the preservationists became kinda expected giving his development as of late but to see it fully exposed or materialized here now i guess incites some excitement in me for sure. its just so many layers to the character and now seeing him align with the bad guys in this battle is just big shit. i cant wait to see how he operates moving forward now that the cats out the bag for him.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
(What questions has the show left you with?)
is gemini gonna unleash nergal?
does mighty have any more tricks up his sleeve?
how will the seekers bounce back from such a huge loss to their cause?
whats to this dinner thats gonna be cooked for jackson?
MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:
good dog bad dog was a nice read this week. as were a couple others including the other top promos of the week, but i enjoyed this one for the strong concept that was connected to both opponents. nicely done.
HAVE YOUR SAY:
(How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)
kinda piggybacking off what i said last week, im just very grateful for honored to be in the mix at such a prevalent time. this week i believe my first main event since being here so that was cool as well. as far as the story goes, i am especially interested to see whats gonna go down on next week’s show, seeing as anton is directly featured in it with the meal hes cookin for jackson cade. its gonna be a huge show anyways especially since itll be the first show since emm was taken out. so i definitely cant wait.

(Three moments of the show that stood out to you and why.)
- I thought it was interesting that in Ceaseless, although Calypso is in the header with Gravedigger, the content of the segment felt a lot like something Tombstone would do - he has a habit of bending reality to show people what he wants them to see, and I wonder if he has something to do with this. Creepy segment too, with Malakai Midnight making an appearance from beyond the grave.
- Cade overcoming the odds to win, only to then be hit with the news that his enemies know something about his brothers death. Big things coming from that.
- Has to be that Soulbreaker III seg - the culmination of this single moment represented from three points of view. Drewitt, Grimskull, Gemini, Caido, and of course Muerte, all of their lives will be forever changed as a result of this moment (one irreparably so!)
BURNING QUESTIONS:

DREWITT
Drewitt is a bit of an enigma to me at the moment. I can't quite tell which side he's on, what his gameplan is, what the end goal is. He led the Preservationists to Gemini but then gave her the means to escape, but doing so led to Muerte's death. Will he feel that on his conscience in the coming weeks, or will he see his help to Gemini as some sort of atonement? And what of his relationship with Grimskull? Despite Drewitt being the angry one since their return, it's clear that Grimmy is still the ruthless one. What does this all mean for the surviving members of Apokalypsis?KLAUS
Yet again Klaus is one step ahead, knowing Mighty Mighty would try and appeal to Ajax's good nature. But he also knew his freaks would have his back. It's a twisted, almost cultish relationship that Klaus and his band of freaks have, but it definitely feels like thats forged from a really big unifying event. Did something happen that bonded the circus together? I'm so intrigued by all the facets of this one - what happens next with the Milo Way saga? How does this tie in with Zephyr? Lots of questions, plenty of them I'm sure will be answered in the coming weeks and months.
TOP THREE MOMENTS:
(What questions has the show left you with?)
- What did they find at CJs burial spot!?
- Why has Sunshine joined the Preservationists?
- Who is the figure watching Arcadia and Destructo? Is it the Zookeeper?
MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:
(Which promo was your favourite of the week?)
I feel sick. Cookies. Don't tell him. Great promo.
HAVE YOUR SAY:
(How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)
Quote from Reverend Ezekiel Graves on 21 March 2025, 02:47TOP THREE MOMENTS:
1. Soulbreaker III:
This was completely unexpected—what a shocking and powerful moment. I’ve always been a fan of El Mariachi Muerte, even before I officially joined OSW, and seeing his death hit hard. It made this War feel real in a whole new way. That twist made it clear: no one is safe, and the stakes have never been higher. Perfectly written and truly unforgettable.
2. Soulbreaker I: I feel like Soulbreaker III might overshadow how brilliant the writing was in this one. The subtle foreshadowing from Drewitt absolutely perfection. This line especially:
“Drewitt’s eyes softened, just for a moment. ‘I’m sorry.’ Gemini’s fists clenched. ‘For what?’ Drewitt didn’t answer.”
It says so much without saying anything at all. When the ending hit, I went back and reread that moment and felt the full weight of what Drewitt knew was coming. Absolutely masterful.
3. Actions Have Consequences: I’m super invested in this storyline. It’s grounded, emotional, and builds sympathy in a way that makes you root hard for Mighty Mighty.
Also, random weird moment—but I loved this line: “He reached through the bars, grabbing the half-eaten tray of food.”
It sparked my imagination. I envisioned this sloppy, gruel-like prison meal. It’s such a small detail but painted a vivid picture.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
• What would Graves do if he got Nero’s gauntlet?
• Could Tombstone bring El Mariachi Muerte back?
• How much more will Mighty Mighty suffer?
• How will Gemini react to everything that’s happened?
• Will the Preservationists find out Drewitt helped Gemini?
FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:
Lapdog: Such a great promo. This line stuck with me: “Because when it comes—when your god finally puts you down like all the rest—that’s where we’ll meet. And when we do? I’ll be there waiting.”
It was intense and personal, and I’d love to work with you again. A feud between us could be insane.
HAVE YOUR SAY:
First off sorry this is late! I had it typed up but started a new job this week and couldn’t get it out in time. That said, this show was incredible.
From top to bottom, this was one of my favourite episodes to read and be part of. It flowed perfectly and had so many memorable moments.
The thought of Graves getting Nero’s gauntlet? Mind-blowing. I love the contrast between them and how this feud is shaping up. Just the potential of what Graves could do with it has my brain firing on all cylinders. I’m down the rabbit hole of “what ifs” already, and I love it.
Shoutout to Gravedigger man, you killed it. It was an honour to face such a legendary character.
To everyone else: you’re all building something amazing here. It’s an honour and a privilege to be part of OSW. Thank you all.

Quote from Calypso on 21 March 2025, 07:31TOP THREE MOMENTS:
1. Soulbreaker 3 takes the top spot. Holy shit, I don't think anyone was expecting El Mariachi Muerte to be offed before a PPV. Hell, I certainly wasn't. What happens now that la musica is effectively dead in Arcadia? It was made out to be quite a big deal in the first third of this volume, so what happens now that the last Mariachi is gone? Sad that we lost him for sure, but there's so many questions that opened up from this one character death that I'd like to have some sort of hint of an answer soon!
2. Jackson's triumph over Anton Savor makes it here. The odds were so stacked against the former Sheriff it wasn't even funny. With the Preservationists trying to sabotage him every chance they got, I was beginning to wonder if this was a match that Cade was destined to lose. But he managed to defy fate and pull off a miraculous victory at the end of the day. Sure he ended up on the losing side of the following segment, but I'll be damned if this moment wasn't awesome to see.
3. Actions Have Consequences takes it here. Poor Mighty. Dude's been through so much shit over the past few months and seeing him essentially be put further through the wringer hurts. I know that's the point, but a man can only take so much before he breaks. Will we see that happen next week? Hopefully. I want to see him pull off his heroic escape and leave the circus for good.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
What will Gemini do for revenge against the Preservationists? Will Drewitt catch her before she can enact it, or will he switch sides before that happens? What is Caido trying to do to Muerte's corpse? I have so many questions that emerged from that segment alone that need answers, damn it! 😛
What did the Preservationists find at CJ's grave site? Was it something that will break Jackson like they promise it will? Does it have anything to do with the upcoming dinner Anton Savor has planned for him? Guess we'll wait and see.
MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:
I personally like By the Blade by Anton Savor, myself. I liked how he called Jackson Cade a fool for believing in laws without being able to enforce them. He knows that simply believing in them isn't enough, so he chooses to act out his own set of laws by his own hand instead of a book of lies that he wields like a holy book. Fun promo, I feel.
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Calypso: Wasn't present in Gravedigger's segment, but her mindfuckery is still very much on display. I don't know if it was the black bile like mist that was sprayed in his face that's affecting him or if it's something much more involved, but her magic seems to have gotten stronger after being resurrected and I'm all for it. Just have to wonder what the result of this feud will be.
Night: Wasn't present for this show.
