WWF No Mercy

The Rock is backstage with a determined look in his eye and a sneer on his face.
“Finally the Rock has come back to Atlanta Georgia. And tonight the Most Electrifying Team in Sports Entertainment is going to lay the smackdown on six candy asses.”
“First off, there’s Edge and Christian. You boys like your shades, your five second poses? Well here’s a new one for you, two Canadian jackasses dancing with The Rock’s foot up their Candy Asses.”
“Then there’s the Dudleys, the inbred hillbillies who cost the Rock his shot at the WWF title. You want respect Bubba? The Rock will show you respect when he kicks both of your candy asses right back to the backwater Dudleyville you came from.”
“And then there’s Kaeintai. Both of you midgets want to tangle with The Rock? You want to step up to the great one? Well the Rock is going to slap the yellow right off you midgets and make sure you know your goddamn role.”
“All six of you jackasses are heading to Smackdown hotel tonight as the greatest and the Rock means greatest tag team of all time becomes four time WWF tag team champions.”
“IF YOU SMELLLLL….WHAT THE ROCK AND SOCK CONNECTION ARE COOKING”

WWF No Mercy
Georgia Dome, Atalanta Georgia
Show Open:
No Mercy opens with a video package showing the hit and run of Shawn Michaels and the assaults of Dlo Brown and Ken Shamrock. That then moves into the Austin and Jarrett feud, in which Austin is revealed to have had an affair with Jarrett’s valet.
The show then opens with fireworks as usual, before we go backstage to see The Dudley Boyz laid out, bleeding and screaming. EMT’s are rushing to their aid with stretchers and ambulances are being called.
JR and Jerry the King Lawler comment that The Dudley Boyz are on their way to the hospital and won’t be back for the tag match later tonight – but who is carrying out these assaults!?
Grudge Match
Y2J vs. Triple H
» Chris Jericho and Triple H go toe to toe in a fast paced match that see’s Jericho almost score a pinfall with three roll-ups in succession before being taken down with a high knee.
» Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley tries to help her husband, but the distraction of the referee allows Y2J to hit a low blow, a Bulldog and a Lionsault for the win.
Winner: Chris Jericho
Ringside:
With the match over, Chris Jericho corners Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley and with the fans on his side, threatens to bend her over his knee and give her a spanking.
As he’s about to do the job to much fanfare, three men rush down the ramp in black outfits and attack him brutally. They lay Jericho out in the middle of the ring and when Triple H gets up, one of them nails him with a steel chair too.
Three Way Match
WWF Tag Team Championships
Edge & Christian vs. The Rock & Sock vs. Kaientai
» Kaientai wisely stayed out of the action at the start of this one, allowing Edge and Christian to do battle with The Rock & Sock. The Rock finally caught hold of this and dragged one into the ring whilst Christian dragged in the other.
» By then though, the damage had already been done. Kaientai took a beating and escaped once more, allowing Edge to nail The Rock with a Spear whilst Christian hit the I’m Prettier on Dude Love. Kaientai quickly dispatched both E&C over the top rope and Taka stole the cover on Dude for the win.
Winners and NEW WWF Tag Team Champions: Kaientai
Backstage:
Vince McMahon was with Jeff Jarett, all ready in his referee shirt for the Main Event. He told Double J that he needs to make sure Deborah stays at home tonight and Jarrett said he’s got it covered.
Vince reminds him that if he doesn’t win the WWF World Championship tonight, their arrangement is over and he no longer has his support.
Jeff tells him he’s got it all in the bag and not to worry.
Triple Threat Match
WWF Intercontinental Championship
Kurt Angle vs. Kane (c) vs. The Undertaker
» Kurt Angle did a Kane and Paul Bearer asked, letting the two brothers of destruction fight this entire match between them. They produce a powerful eye watering slobberknocker.
» The battle concluded when Kane hit Undertaker with a Chokeslam and followed up with a Tombstone – only Kurt, ever devious, grabbed him by behind and nailed him with an Olympic Slam, picking up the win and the title.
Winners and NEW WWF Intercontinental Champion: Kurt Angle
Backstage:
Triple H is confronted by Shawn Michael’s wife who saw what happened earlier tonight. She says she knows who the three assailants are and The Game had better come clean. She’s not being fooled by him being taken out as well.
The Game doesn’t say a word; it’s instead Stephanie who chimes in, telling Michael’s wife to get the hell out of her building and to shove her accusations up her ass.
I Quit Match
WWF World Championship
Jeff Jarrett vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin
» The WWF World Championship was on the line in an I Quit Match. Vince McMahon’s continued involvement made it extremely difficult for Austin to put together any offense. Despite it being no disqualification, Vince kept stopping Austin when he shouldn’t have.
» Everyone knew that the minute Austin had a microphone to his mouth, McMahon would ring the bell. The Rattlesnake had to overcome, and it came when he ducked a guitar shot meant for his head that instead nailed Vince. Austin nailed Jarrett with a stunner for good measure.
» Three masked men then made a b-line for the ring, only Austin nailed one with a Stunner, only to find Triple H and Chris Jericho as back up and support. The Game and Jericho fought the other two, leaving Austin to beat Jarrett with a microphone until he said the words I Quit.
Winners and NEW WWF World Champion: Stone Cold Steve Austin
Ringside:
Vince McMahon is apoplectic about Jarrett losing, cornering the Chosen One in the ring and screaming at him. Before Jarrett can react, the three men from before slide into the ring and attack the owner of the WWF.
With Vince laid out, one of them grabs a celebrating Austin and drops him with a Death Valley Driver in the middle of the ring. The other two head to the top. One leaps off with a Diving Headbutt and the other with a Frogsplash, annihilating the World Champion.
They get back to their feet, remove their masks and reveal themselves to be Chris Benoit, Perry Saturn and Eddie Guerrero – to much boo’s from the crowd.
Jarrett hugs each of them and raises their hands, all four celebrating in the middle of the ring. Double J gets a microphone and says he brought some friends from across the way and from here on out, they’ll be known as Nitro.
The show ends with their celebrations.
