I’ve never understood those who bow down to authority.
Even when married to the man that represents all power here, there’s still that rebellious thread interwoven with each and every fiber of my being.
You see, every single authority figure I’ve ever met has the stench of hypocrisy leaking out of every pore.
That old adage of do what I say, not what I do has never really made much sense to me.
For instance, a parent who tells their child to never lie but fills their heads with fantasy figures like Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, a tooth fairy, or an omnipotent god that is somehow all powerful and all good when there is all the evidence on this decrepit planet that those two things cannot simultaneously be true.
How about the officer who brutally assaults someone in captivity but has the nerve to tell them to stop resisting when our most basic need of survival is being challenged?
How about the God who can’t even follow his own commandments?
An all-powerful being who tells us not to murder while he has wiped out all of human existence and threatens to do it again.
A god who tells us not to be envious yet has multiple commandments telling us to not put other things above him. He is a jealous god but remember that’s God’s emotion to carry. We should all just be thankful to live. Thou shall not covet.
There are ten commandments to follow and the only ones that he hasn’t broken require a corporeal form to finish the task.
Every sermon I’ve ever heard asks us to be christ-like because if we all strived to be god-like, this world and everything we know wouldn’t last a day.
Jesus turns the other cheek, God damns you to Hell for going the wrong direction. Jesus sacrifices himself. God asks you to sacrifice everything. Jesus healed the blind. God makes his followers blind to the truth.
Graves, how much longer can you believe in your Omnipotent god in Arcadia of all places. Maybe it’s because you see yourself in him, a hypocrite willing to spit on all laws to get ahead.
Don’t put any gods before me? How is being with us and following our orders as a preservationist? For a man proclaiming to seek whats up above, you’re pretty content staying right here.
Thou shall not worship idols? Look at everything you did to get that gold around your waist. I saw you fight harder for that gold than any match you’ve ever been in. If that’s not worship, I don’t know what is. I remember hearing make the church your wife, it looks like you’re committing adultery with the whore of Babylon the way you look at that thing.
Listen, if you’re going to be a figure of Authority, at least pay heed to the rules you tell others to follow.
Just like you and your god, I’m a cunt who loves gold and adoration, I just don’t lie to my followers about it.
In that way, I might be better than God, makes sense now why you decided to follow me.
