Walls exist everywhere in our lives, mi amigos. Restricting, restraining and confining us to live within their parameters.
We build these walls, they are our own construction. Walls to hide ourselves behind, or smaller walls of boxes that we hide our secrets within.
The walls in our lives dictate how we live. Those that we love, and those we leave behind.
🎵 My daddy told me
When it was thunder
Go be the lighting
Don’t run for cover 🎵
A king sits on his throne behind a wall constructed to keep himself safe from enemies. For as long as the crown sits upon his head, they circle his walls looking to strike.
But not every king is content to hide behind his walls. You, Jasper are a master of the psychological arts. Through the simple walls of a small box, you have your enemies fearing you.
For that which was contained within your box showed how far you’re willing to go to claim that throne. Your boxes serve a purpose not of your own safety… but to control others.
And yet, not all your enemies are afraid of your control, Jasper. They too have boxes of their own. Walls they have constructed to serve their own purposes.
🎵Now we can’t climb over
And you can’t go round
Build them up
We’ll tear them down 🎵
Malakai Midnight sits behind the walls of his own, demanding loyalty and control of others. Only, his walls are human, amassing a following of Owls who would lay their lives down to protect him.
Those that would strike fear into the heart of one as innocent as Aurora to force her hand into that of Gravedigger. But even his vast reach cannot force love where the heart wanes, ese.
Calypso builds her walls through the tools of her trade. Magical walls dripping with mystery and voodoo powers. She lives her life confined to the box of tarot cards.
Those cards restrict her viewpoint, for she cannot see what does not lie in the cards.
🎵Brick by brick
Gonna watch them fall
Build more bridges
Tear down walls 🎵
I am not in the interest of building walls. I don’t hide behind them, or wall my feelings up to influence and manipulate others.
Zeus tried to place me in a box. After everything, he would like nothing more than to see me confined to a coffin. But even he couldn’t hold me in a box.
You see, I’ve been shattering walls for a long time now. Redefining myself, and outlasting those in my path.
It is a quest that has cost me much, those I love… and those I’ve been forced to leave behind.
But my song is too powerful to be contained behind walls. I stand, unrestricted. Unconfined by the fear you strike into others. My song breaks down walls, and it plays for you Jasper Redgrave.
Your walls are nothing to my song. Your power means nothing to me. Brick by brick, I’m gonna watch them fall.
Hold onto your crown, amigo, as la musica de la Muerte plays and your walls come a-crumbling down.
