[Felix Foley’s voice narrates over darkness.]
“In a forgotten corner of the Kingdom of Arcadia, there was a humble puppet master. He wasn’t born into greatness, nor did he seek it. All he wanted was to bring joy to the children, to fill their lives with stories and laughter, to guide them in a world where shadows grew longer every day. His little puppet shows brought light, even if only for a moment.”
[A puppetmaster that looks an awful lot like Felix Foley can be seen performing for children who’re laughing and smiling.]
“But the world around him was changing. The kingdom, once filled with laughter and wonder, now worshipped strength, brutality, and violence. A new king rose, one who cared little for the innocent dreams of children. He built monsters, who worshiped blood and spectacle. Monsters who broke bones.”
[Tombstone can be seen, reigning as the King of Destination. Foley stands in opposition of him, looking defiant.]
“The puppet master, beaten down by the cruelty of it all, watched as his funhouse was torn apart, as the children flocked to see warriors clash instead of hearing stories of hope. He was forgotten, left in the dust of a world obsessed with power. But he wasn’t ready to give up.”
[Foley sits at a wooden bench and begins mending his puppets, one by one.]
“One night, as the puppet master sat alone in the ruins of his theatre, he picked up the pieces of his broken puppets. He began to fix them, one by one, slowly and carefully, breathing life into their wooden bodies again. He realized something—kings could build their stables of violence, but they couldn’t control the dreams of children. They couldn’t stop stories from being told. They couldn’t stop hope.”
[Foley rises above the theatre into the middle of the ring at Ring King. He pins Gravedigger, and then successfully becomes Ring King, the crown being placed atop his head.]
“And so, the puppet master became a king—not by ruling with an iron fist, but by creating a kingdom of imagination, a place where every child could be more than what the world told them to be. He became a king of hearts, of dreams… and no one could ever take that away.”
[The visage fades away.]
[Felix Foley remains, a cartoon storybook in his hand. He’s drawing it himself, sketching the pages.]
“Tombstone created a Kingdom of violence and destruction in his reign as King. No-one understands that more than I. But for as long as I’ve been able, I’ve been mending the broken hearts and minds of the children of Arcadia.
I’ve pieced my bestest friend Doom back together.
For a time, I even became the glue that held Burning Justice together too.”
[Foley smiles.]
“Arcadia doesn’t belong to the King’s of evil. It’s time for a new story to be told.
It’s time I put my Funhouse back together again.
Not just for me, but for the children.”
