Not all monsters live in the shadows or spend their time hidden away. Some live up front with the shiny veneer of a leader or a philanthropic businessman. They make you believe they’re someone you can trust.
But in reality, they’re just barkers trying to lure you into their Circus of Horrors. They manipulate and take advantage of the disadvantaged. They can almost appear philanthropic because they give jobs to those who otherwise wouldn’t have them in the first place.
It’s depressing when you see it firsthand. When you see that type of evil through your own eyes and I’ve done some evil shit in my day. I’m no saint, however, I never lorded my presence over people and used fear to subjugate people like some omnipresent domestic abuser.
Not like you Klaus, who tortures, cajoles, and threatens his employees to back him up. I’ve watched you threaten those around you to get on the same page as you. Tell them that either they were with you or they were against you. Threatening their livelihoods because they were nothing but… freaks to you.
Nothing more than a group of outcasts for you to use and abuse. Acting like they you owe them nothing. But what you don’t realize is that you owe everyone one of them, from Ajax, to Solus, to Michaela, my fucking Daughter you untalented hack! Because without them you have nothing… Zephyr’s show? You wouldn’t have inherited it. Your place in the spotlight? Without those “freaks,” as you call them, that spotlight is a back ally where you turn tricks for credits.
You are a monster who’s abused the trust of those around you. You’ve made your name on the backs of those abused people, again, my daughter included. Now, this week I was saddened because my daughter wouldn’t leave your circus and your abuse. I was more filled with pride because she refused to abandon her family. She refused to leave those who she cared about.
I cannot begin to tell you how unfathomably proud I was that she chose to do the right thing. The one thing I wished I could’ve done when I had the chance. But because I didn’t make that choice, no one was there to protect her from men like me and George. To keep her safe from monsters like you, Klaus, the wolf in sheep’s clothing.
So, I think it’s time I prove to her that I’m ready to start making up for lost time. While I never checked under her bed for the fictional monsters which reside there, I can start by eliminating the very monster which lives in the light and brings pain, and torment to her family. I can actually be a father and make sure my daughter doesn’t have to put up a degenerate sleazeball of a boss like you Klaus. And everybody knows that all it’ll take is One Shot, One Kill, and like Zephyr, you’re cast into the abyss of irrelevance only to be remembered when someone finds your remains. Because Nobody will know where I leave you.
