“Do you remember that night?”
[The OSW World Champion speaks in a calm and collected tone as he peers over the headstone of one Joseph “CJ” Thorpe.]
[His eyes are locked on the name. The World Championship is slung over his shoulder.]
“Do you remember the look on your brother’s face just moments before snapping your neck?”
“I sure do..”
[Redgrave sits next to the headstone as he continues speaking.]
“Some might say it was a look of shock and awe. His eyes were wide and his mouth hung open as he stood at the bottom of that ramp way and watched as his younger brother took his last breath.”
“Others might say it was a look of sadness. A tear rolled down his cheek the moment your lifeless corpse fell to the canvas “
“But what I saw that night was fear.”
[Jasper takes a moment to readjust himself as he places the belt across his lap.]
“I saw fear inside those wide eyes of his. The tears that rolled down his cheek wasn’t from sadness, it was from terror.”
“Fear that he had let you and the rest of his family down. Fear that the one man he can’t bring to justice has taken yet another one of his loved ones.”
“Fear that he will never be able to put me down.”
“But more importantly..”
[The belt is lifted from his lap and draped over CJ’s headstone.]
“He feared he’d never touch this belt again.”
“It was in that moment that reality had finally set in.”
“If he wants to ever see this Championship again, he’s gonna have to pry it from my cold dead hands.”
[Jasper stands up and dusts himself off before peering directly at us.]
“Which means you’ll have to prove what I’ve always known, Jackson.”
“You’ll have to show all of Arcadia that you are just as vile and just as vicious as I am “
“Which is quite the conundrum for you, isn’t it?”
[The edges of his mouth curl into a smirk.]
“At Invasion, it’s kill or be killed.”
“If you want to EVER be able to hold this OSW World Championship, you’re gonna have to throw that precious handbook of yours out the window.”
“But you’ll never do that, will you Little Eagle? You’ll never be able to fly away from that security nest you’ve been clutching onto for so long.”
“Your unwillingness to show us the true Jackson Cade will be your biggest downfall.”
“Because I saw the fear in your eyes that night at Red Snow.”
“You knew that as long as I was walking and breathing you would just have to deal..”
“Not because you have to, but simply because you don’t have the balls to do shit about it.”
[He turns back towards the tombstone and we take notice to the title still draped over the headpiece.]
“Take a good look. Before you lies things you’ll never be able to touch again.”
“Fear me, Jackson.”
[Jasper chuckles a bit as he takes his leave.]
[Fade.]
