BURNING QUESTIONS:

(What questions has the show left you with?)

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

(Which promo was your favourite of the week?)

HAVE YOUR SAY:

(How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

  1. Family Matters – All the best segments came in the back half of the show, and I couldn’t overlook the one involving my own this week. Just when we thought Redgrave’s captives escaping the cage was shocking enough, the revelation that Nero’s wife is actually Ezekiel Graves’ sister took it to another level. So many questions remain… Who set Rose and her son free? Was Graves willing to forgive Lucien all along given family ties were involved? Exciting things ahead for the Brothers of Christ - which, by the way, is a killer tag team name.

  2. The High Price of Being Human – What a massive reveal that ol' Stubbins has been Destructo’s biological father all along. When Nox made his demands, Doom was ready to give up the World Championship immediately - showing just how human his heart has become. But the Chemist isn’t letting him off easily and is aiming to humiliate him in front of all Arcadia in exchange for his son… Finger poke of DOOM incoming, anyone?

  3. You Shouldn’t Be Here – This was a night jam-packed with major revelations, and Ares calling Slade Kincaid his little brother hit as hard as any. Ares was quick to insist he would have reached out to Slade when the time was right, but for what reason and when would that moment have come? Either way - it feels like Ares has something big in motion, and it looks like Kincaid will play a key role as and when that unfolds.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  • Who were the two unknowns discussing their seemingly successful plan - and who ended up dead?

  • What is Sunshine planning for his series finale?

  • Is Michela truly loyal to Klaus, or was the slap to Destructo just a tactical move to bide some time?

  • What’s next for EMM the man? Has he lost his ability to play music?

  • Will Rose Graves now pursue her own agenda against both husband and brother after escaping Redgrave?

  • Will Doom lay down for The Artist at Ascension?

  • Can Tombstone return Hades to the Underworld before it’s too late?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

Giving this to Gemini/Laner this week. Admittedly I didn't read my three opponents' work prior to Ring King, but Debt was a solid theme for facing Attano, and the line about Gemini being the collector brought everything full circle really well.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

I’m gutted to have made it to the Ring King final only to fall short, but if there was anyone I’d be happy to lose to, it had to be my boy Damo. I know I’ve already congratulated you privately, but I want to say publicly what a huge achievement this is. Very well deserved and enjoy the moment, bud. You’ve carved this opportunity out for yourself, so don't forget that the next time doubt creeps in.

Despite missing out on the crown, we did at least manage to walk away with the Tag Titles, Jin - so let's revel in that together! Can't wait for Nero and Graves' story to conclude in the upcoming weeks and months given these latest developments. Looking forward to finishing the journey on this saga with you, bro.

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

(Three moments of the show that stood out to you and why.)

  1. DAMO! I just am so fucking happy for our new King of Bones. The Night winning was the underdog story, and maybe the best underdog story from any Ring King we've ever had. What a night, and I'm so excited to see where our new King goes.
  2. Hades has escaped the Underworld. I don't know if I read this correctly and didn't want to say on stream, but this feels like a major connection to the very same Underworld we saw in previous seasons of OSW. I love that link, if so, and I can't wait to see what Hades has been up to.
  3. Stubbins Doom as Destructo's father was something I did not see coming. I love the way it re-contextualizes everything that these characters have done in this Volume. It makes every interaction they had, every interaction they had with TBM or Victor, all mean something more. Beautiful way to go.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

Will Zeus make it to Red Snow?

Who the fuck got shot?

Will Captain Arcadia ever grow a brain?

How many times does Michaela have to make it clear that she's with Klaus? I guess as many times as it takes until she realizes she isn't trapped.

MY FAVORITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

I have to go with The Night's promo here. When I read it, I hadn't read anything else, but I knew Damo had brought it. Top to bottom, one of Damo's finest. So happy to see him get the big win and the crown!

HAVE YOUR SAY:

Slade - Ares' brother? Hot damn. Now that's a big angle for my boy Trapzilla. I can't wait to see how this plays out, and what a brother of Ares looks like up in Zeus' main man's business.

Gemini - So I understand where everyone's coming from here. It makes a lot of sense why Night wouldn't want to forgive. I mean, that explosion killed his mother. We haven't earned that moment if we're going to get it. The collision between Gemini and Night is going to be something else.

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

(Three moments of the show that stood out to you and why.)

  1. Damo wins Ring King!  Night is our King of Bones.  I cannot say how proud of you I am buddy.  I cannot wait to see how Night looks in a crown.  I must agree with Laner about it being a true underdog story.  I am really interested to see how this progresses up until Night’s title match.
  2. By Any Means – I loved the setting of this, Zeus sitting amongst the rubble of the Pantheon and having to confess that, like the Pantheon itself, Zeus is falling apart.  I enjoyed the emotion and the fact that Zeus now on borrowed time.  Now, Ares may have to force Cade to elevate himself to lead all of Arcadia.
  3. Never enough – Dean brought up Stockholm Syndrome when talking about Michaela and Klaus, it’s very apt because Klause is essentially holding Michaela captive.  Michaela keeps rejecting every goddamn lifeline given to her.  Seeing Destructo get his heart broken and walk away losing his Championship at the same time feels like the perfect, “All is lost moment”.  Until he gets kidnapped by Nox and has his Daddy revealed as Doom, fuck things just compound for this dude.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

(What questions has the show left you with?)

Can Zeus make it Red Snow and what will an Arcadia look like under Cade’s Rule?

Can anyone convince Michaela to get away from her abuser?

What’s Destructo’s reaction going to be to Doom being his father?

Will Night be able to forgive Harold?

What will EMM do as a human?

Who was under the Hood and who shot them?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

(Which promo was your favourite of the week?)

Night, I loved the framing of how kings ascend to the throne, how each of his final four could ascend to the throne but then how Night’s throne was built on those he’s loved and lost.  It was a wonderful piece of work Damo.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

(How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)

Harold: Just man, it’s sad to see an old man trying to make right and then getting his hand swatted away.  The moment Harold owned his mistake and asked for Night’s forgiveness using his actual name only to have Night just disappear.  Man, it’s heartbreaking.  Where does Harold go from here?  I was torn up for Harold in this moment because I’ve been there and it hurts.

Nox: This motherfucker is a manipulative fuck, banger match, and then he kidnaps Destructo, and reveals that Doom is his actual fucking daddy.  Jesus, he’s a manipulative fuck, and having Doom toss the OSW Championship at Nox’s feet.  I cannot believe how this all played out, and I cannot wait until Ascension to see how this all plays out.

TOP THREE MOMENTS

1: Winning the Tag Team Titles / Family Matters: I’ve never won a tag title in an efed before, and honestly, this was the best way it could have happened with a team that has such a long history as rivals. The chemistry was unreal, the flow of their moves felt so natural, and to do it against legit badasses like Cade and Redgrave made it even more special. The tag titles are only the beginning of what’s turning into a sick storyline, especially with the revelation that Graves has a sister. That closing line “We’ll find them. Together.” Nero looks over, startled. Graves’ eyes are clear. Honest. “Together.” If this were real, the pop from the crowd would’ve been insane.

2: You Shouldn’t Be Here: Anytime we get a taste of Ares, I’m in but wow, I did not see it coming that Kincaid was his brother. Things just got a whole lot more interesting.

3: All the Ring King Matches: All three matches were insane, written so well and could have gone either way. I was on the edge the whole time. All four finalists should be proud this turned out to be one of the best Ring Kings in my opinion.

BURNING QUESTIONS

• GRAVES HAS A SISTER???

• Who freed Graves’ sister and nephew?

• What does “FALSE PROPHET, ROSE GRAVES LIVES” mean?

• Will Captain still pursue Ayame, or recruit her for the hunt to uncover the Kingdom?

• Will Destructo die in Acid?

• Can Nox really get his wish and become World Champion this way?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK

King of Bones: Damo, you absolute stud. You stepped up and crushed it with this promo. Well deserved on becoming King.

HAVE YOUR SAY

What a bomb night. I’m super bummed I missed it live saw it flip from a “No” to a “Yes” but couldn’t get out of prior plans.

Laner, you crushed it once again. It’s always so entertaining, not just the matches but the segments too. You read with passion and excitement, and it’s always a 10.

Congrats Damo on becoming the “KING OF BONES.” You should be proud  it was a talent-stacked tournament this year and you killed it.

The Graves/Nero story blew me away. Bitter rivals to tag champs to family the build-up was perfect, never felt forced, and the payoff was shocking in the best way.

Rob, I’m pumped to work with you, homie. I’ll do my best not to let you down. Here’s to a killer run as the Brothers in Christ. It’s been awesome working with you through this feud and now as partners.

I’m so glad I found OSW. I honestly thought I was done with feds I always left other places feeling unhappy or resentful, just rping to rp while the “owner’s buddies” got the spots. Here it’s different. I get I’m not the best, but for the first time I’ve felt like I’m part of something meaningful, and most importantly it’s fun. If OSW ever ended (which I pray it never does), I’d at least have closure from a game I grew up loving.

I genuinely care for you crazy cats, and I just want to thank you all for letting me feel like I’m part of something so fun.

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

1. Hades takes the top spot. Knowing that Hades is somewhere in Arcadia and has been for a very long time is quite a scary revelation. Just what identity did he take up and how long has he been under our noses without us noticing? Is it someone we think is a beloved figure of OSW? Or is it a sick nasty piece of shit that we'd feel no remorse for Tombstone having to put back in his domain? Will Hades be able to break the seven seals in such a short timeframe? Or will Tombstone put a stop to it before things get too out of hand?

2. By Any Means takes this placement. Zeus is dying!? Holy shit, what an announcement to kick off the show! Wondered why he didn't just off Jackson Cade right there in the middle of the Pantheon like he did Hercules. Knowing that he was dying and Arcadia needed a new leader soon flipped the script on its head for me. With Ares needing to prepare Jackson to become Arcadia's leader by any means necessary, will Jackson take to becoming the head that Arcadia wants, or the one Zeus thinks it needs?

3. The High Price of Being Human takes it here. Damn, Nox is a nasty motherfucker isn't he? He revealed that Destructo was actually his son the whole time and nearly dropped him in acid unless Doom agreed to lay down for him at the main event of the next Ascension. It was bad enough to reveal that Stubbins actually had an affair with Sarah, but to call him a terrible father to James too? Damn, this dude's heartless! I hope Doom kicks his ass and doesn't listen to Nox's demands at the next show.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

Who was shot around the beginning of the show? Was it someone we should know about already, or someone completely new whose debut in OSW was getting shot in the fucking head? Who was the one that shot them too? Is the "charade" they mentioned Arcadia? Or something far more sinister?

Why shouldn't Slade be in OSW? Is it for personal reasons that we have yet to see unfold? If so, why isn't he wanted at this current moment? Is Ares expecting a war that Kincaid is going to be enlisted in soon? It's a short segment, but I have a lot of questions about what's to come for these two.

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

No question, Debt by Gemini. Fucking hell Laner, I read this promo and rightly felt like Night wasn't going to get his revenge at Ring King. Twisted the actions of two men that just want to see justice through and be rid of their personal grievances very well. I hope that I can bring my AAA game next time around and make the fight that much closer.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

Night: Holy fuck.

I honestly didn't expect to pull something like this off at all. Was fully expecting to be out by round two like I usually was this volume. Yet I pulled off what I thought to be an impossible feat and then some. I'm still in shock over it. One of my characters as Ring King, with a shot at the world champion to boot. Holy fucking shit. Here's to the King of Bones, I guess. Hopefully my short reign as king won't be a disappointing one.

As for the seg, I'm surprised Harold was able to halt Night from continuing the fight against Gemini. Despite that, it doesn't seem like he wanted to take Attano's apology to heart. Given that the Night's grudge against the Rogue is too strong to simply drop, I don't see him taking Harry up on the offer to make amends and better the future any time soon. I might be wrong, but we'll just have to see how Night behaves in the coming months before I can say he's willing to move on.

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

(Three moments of the show that stood out to you and why.)

  1. Damo taking the Ring King title! It's a fantastic moment when a character gets to shine through Ring King, and seeing The Night just absolutely claw his way to the title in such a fantastic manner was delightful. Super happy for ya bud! You've earned it!
  2. Dia De Los Muertos takes a proper spot for me because I genuinely wasn't sure if El Mariachi Muerte was going to die or not the whole show, and then to find that he's earned the "respect" of El Dragon and is left alive after all of it? It's just the sweet spot of drama and feud that gets me excited! Fantastic stuff.
  3. Game Over has also caught my attention, as we had a death mid show that has me wondering who did the shooting and who bit the bullet. What plan has been moving along that has someone making sure the loose ends don't speak? Why now? It's caught my eye, and I don't think I'll be forgetting it anytime soon.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  • Who killed the man in Game Over?
  • Where and who is Hades?
  • What does the return of Rose Graves mean?
  • How will El Mariachi move on from losing his gift/curse?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

This is gonna sound like a broken record, but King of Bones takes this week for me. Damo just fucking killed it, and reading it was just an absolute delight.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

I'm rather satisfied with how this week has ended for this feud. The two clashing in a fantastic match, only to have both of them get up and almost clash once again! The fact that it was Ayame who said "What do I have to do to prove I'm not with them" and putting Cap on the backfoot is a fantastic moment. She's cleared her name, and he's left trying to figure out what to do next. I'm loving the breakdown of Cap, can't wait to see more.

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

(Three moments of the show that stood out to you and why.)

  1. MAIN EVENT DAMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Well done 🙂 we've been waiting for this moment!
  2. Game Over is a big segment - not only do we need to find out who got shot, we also need to find out who fired the bullet. I love it when we get questions!
  3. HADESSSSSSS. Is this the same Hades from before? It notes that he has been around for a while so is he disguised as someone we know?

BURNING QUESTIONS:

(What questions has the show left you with?)

  • Surely this reveal of Zeus dying has more than meets the eye?
  • What next for Sunshine? Why did Narcissa thing pulling the plug on his source of pride and joy was the right idea?
  • What is Slade Kincaid's deal? How does he know Tombstone and why does he seem so adept at avoiding death?
  • What does life as a normal man look liek for El Mariachi Muerte?
  • Will Night ever forgive Attano?
  • Nero's wife being Graves' sister is huuuuuuuuuuuge!
  • Slade Kincaid and Ares are related. Did I call that one week? I think I at least thought it! Great twist!

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

(Which promo was your favourite of the week?)

Have to give this one to Damo, for climbing the metaphorical mountain and making it to the peak!

HAVE YOUR SAY:

(How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)

CARNEVIL YAAAAAAAAAAAY. Hopefully this is a big deal for Klaus! Especially given his title win this week!

I thought 'Never Enough' was a good end to the destructo boy drama from a Klaus perspective. As others have said, Michaela has a BAD case of stockholm syndrome.

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

Congrats Damo! - A long time coming, and a well deserved win. I had put my trust in Damo earlier in the week and when it came through, I may have been more happy about it than he was. Congrats buddy.
You Shouldn't Be Here - I had a feeling when Ares had mentioned a family matter that he needed to tend to that it may involved Slade Kincaid. A big revelation for the Slade character though, and a welcome one at that. We now have a reason as to why Slade would be able to stand toe to toe with Tombstone, given the fact that he's Ares' brother and all.
The High Price of Being Human - Could have honestly put a number of segments here this week, but I chose to highlight this one. The reveal that Doom is Destructo's father is one hell of a turn. These two have been entwined for so long and the story had been so good already up until now, only for this bombshell to be dropped. Damn good story telling here.

BURNING QUESTIONS:
- Who got shot?
- What's next for Sunshine?
- Will Doom and Destructo put differences aside and play a game of catch?
- Does Doom lay down for Nox?
- Does Zeus make it to Red Snow?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:
King of Bones - A well written piece. One of Damo's finest, as far as I'm concerned. Well done.

HAVE YOUR SAY:
Interesting turn of events, to say the least. It would seem that Zeke has a sister. Which technically would make Nero part of the family. A lot to take in. A lot to think about. Will their new found bond be enough to keep those tag titles around their waist? Or will it drive them further apart? What does false prophet mean? What's next for Jasper after a rather unsuccessful night at Ring King?

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

  1. The Night is Your Ring King, I can't stress enough how proud I am of Damo for finally breaking through and getting his hands on a big win like this. Nothing can top this moment for the night.
  2. Hades is the next big moment I wanna talk about and, as far as story goes, is the biggest for me in regards to segments. The implication of someone like Lucifer appearing in Arcadia is nothing short of terrifying. The call backs to V1 and beyond has me excited for what comes next for Tombstone here.
  3. The High Price of Being Human is just such a fantastic segment. I'm immensely invested in the Destructo/Doom storyline and this reveal was just perfect. I was also in the boat of thinking Nox may be Destructo's father, but Doom makes perfect sense and brings this whole storyline full circle.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  • What does Muerte being just a man mean?
  • What's next for Sunshine?
  • What is Kincaid's history with Tombstone?
  • Can Nero and Graves get back Rose?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

Giving this one to Damo with King of Bones for the reasons of using it to become Ring King, of course.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

Jackson Cade: Rough night for Cade but I'm glad he washed his hands of Redgrave in their segment! And beyond that I'm mortified and excited to see what happens when Ares tries to make sure Cade is ready to replace Zeus. Whatever that entails, of course.
