Quote from Eclipse on 7 July 2024, 16:56POP OF THE NIGHT:
Hydra gets it for me. While Narcissa's upcoming title defence is only a three-way thus far, I can't help feeling that's gonna be bumped up to four because Hydra don't appear to have a solution to the problem that is Tombstone, at least not yet. Ares and his goons are gonna have to step their game up, as 6 Feet Under have them outnumbered in regards to heavy hitters. Naturally, this makes me want to know where things are going and what Hydra's plan will be.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
- What was the photo that Malakai took?
- Will Blaze pull through?
- Who appeared in the mirror? Could it be a new member of Six Feet Under? Has Nergal managed to find a new host? Is she single?
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Again, completely on board with how things are going, I know I'm the one holding up the establishing of the character's personality with my inconsistent portrayals in the RPs. Looks like the story is sticking to just Raven and Aurora as it stands, which I'm admittedly a little happy about while I'm still learning what all the characters in OSW are, so I'd likely make a meal of trying to promo against the whole of SFU.

Quote from Tombstone on 7 July 2024, 17:07POP OF THE NIGHT: (What was the moment, in segment, that you enjoyed the most and why?)
It has to be the ending of the show for me. It seemed a little tame at first, watching an argument between Zeus and Narcissa over her match at Locked & Loaded but things soon turned sinister. Who is this mysterious person and what do they want? Is it connected to Tombstone? I must admit, I'm inclined to think that he has something to do with this but I'm unsure as to what.
An honorable shoutout and mention to the epic arrival of Captain Arcadia, saving Blaze & Destructo Boy and George Cade getting his son back into the World Championship picture alongside Harold Attano.
BURNING QUESTIONS: (What questions does the show have you asking after reading?)
- How will Captain Arcadia hunt down Hatchet?
- What will Destructo Boy & Blaze do now?
- Is Blaze still in Six Feet Under?
- Is DB in The Besties?
- Is EMM trying to save Gemini!?
- Will Narcissa grant Tombstone his rematch?
- Who's the mysterious woman?
HAVE YOUR SAY: (How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)
Well, this was a really really good show. Coming off such a banger at Ring of Dreams, the creative minds behind OSW would've been forgiven for crashing us back down to Earth with something a little more tame but this wasn't it. Don't get me wrong, the show wasn't 100mph or full throttle action but it had something really tidy and reminded me a lot of an old WWF RAW, which is always a welcome piece of nostalgia.
The big stable moments were epic and I loved how Zeus' interaction with Tombstone went. The Baron created a monster in OSW and then stepped away. He has no idea how things work around Olympus and I really enjoyed the character work behind showing him to be fierce, only to realize he's out of his depth. That continued thematically later which I also enjoyed.
Part of me hopes to get into the world title match and part of me thinks facing those guys will be a slog. I do however relish the possibility of such an immense challenge. Let's go!

CAPTAIN ARCADIA
It's right at the start, but I read the first segment and thought that the new direction for YP was awesome. Loved the introduction to him and how the scene played out to advance the DB Blaze storyline, while also getting Captain Arcadia over.
The fact that this was immediately followed up by Hydra being formed is great too, awesome creative placement.
BURNING QUESTIONS: (What questions does the show have you asking after reading?)
What does George Cade have in his past with Zeus that has so much sway with him? How will this all blow up?
Is the Gallery really going to be opened again? And what happens when Cade gets his hands on Redgrave this time?
That ending - so awesome. What the hell is going on there?!?!
HAVE YOUR SAY: (How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)
First off, I loved the new commentary team. The chemistry they have is great and adds a new dimension.
I wanted to point out how good the writing for Hydra was. It maximises the word output from creative, built some real chemistry with the commentary team and really got a good segment across. Loved it.
SUNCHINE - I loved the chemistry with him and Klaus - I think the writer really nailed the characteristics and mentality of Sunshine during the segment. The MWA, I'm not completely sold on, so it makes matchwriting a tricky balance for him. I want a vibe where he's intentional about not wanting to attack or hurt anybody, but he has to still get some move in. I was thinking having it seem like rough-n-tumble style playtime for Sunshine would be a good vibe. There were a few moments where he was trading blows, and I don't think he'd go toe to toe with somebody -if it felt more 'funtimes' with him in the ring, that'd be a good vibe.
EMM - Very intriguing. As always with EMM, it is hard to tell who he's actually siding with. Is he aligning with Hydra for the purposes of saving Gemini, or has he gone full dark mode? I'm definitely keen to see how things play out long term this season with him. Honoured to win the Championship belt too, hopefully I can hold onto this one 🙂

Quote from DOOM on 11 July 2024, 17:04POP OF THE NIGHT:
Where do I start with this one then? Something about this show really clicked for me. I really liked it. Everything seemed to flow so very well together that I enjoyed every segment. The closing segment and graphic probably takes this just because of how unique it was to see something like that in image form, as well as the questions it poses about who that person is and what they want.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
- Who is the person behind Narcissa?
- What's EMM's end game?
- Can anyone stop Hydra?
HAVE YOUR SAY:
A good segment for what looks to be an interesting feud with Six Feet Under. I do wonder where Doom goes from here, since Felix has a very big story ahead of him and I'm not sure how Stubbins plays a role in that. The Tag Titles have been a big achievement for me and Mel and we're really happy to have held them for as long as we have whilst being defending Champions.
But I'm very intrigued to see where Doom goes from here having let his creation leave and survive. What's next? Where does Stubbin's go whilst Felix has his own drama, or is he directly linked to that?

Quote from Malakai Midnight on 11 July 2024, 20:51POP OF THE NIGHT:
Ya know, I thought the debut of Captain Arcadia was so cool. We left ROD wondering if either of them would survive and for someone to come in and manage to knock Hatchet off his perch that fast is a big deal. I'd have bet that Hatchet would've killed at least one of them if he hadn't already and I was pleasantly surprised to see a hero there to stop it from happening.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
- Who the woman behind Narcissa?
- Will Tombstone get his match?
- Who is George Cade really!?
- WILL ANYONE TELL HAROLD ATTANO WTF IS GOING ON!?
HAVE YOUR SAY:
A standard segment this week I think. A little vanilla, maybe? Malakai Midnight is a man shrouded in owls. Everywhere he goes, he's got people. People you don't know have his back. Eyes everywhere. People everywhere. He's a leader of a massive cult and he came in to OSW pretty hot. We've simmered a little this week after that epic story with Raven that surprised even me. I never saw that coming. I hope that being a member of Six Feet Under doesn't have Malakai used as a lacky or subordinate that follows instead of leads. He's still a huge leader in Arcadia of some really dangerous people.

Quote from Jasper Redgrave on 12 July 2024, 01:49POP OF THE NIGHT: Like Old Times
I liked this segment for the twist. It started out as a little lover's spat between husband and wife, but ended up as something so much more. I loved the graphic being added here because it added so much depth to the scene in my opinion. Awful fucking creepy though. Lights out.. only candles.. dark skinned figure in the mirror. Who could that have been? I have a thought.. but perhaps it's someone we've not even met yet? Color me intrigued.BURNING QUESTIONS:
- Who was in the mirror?
- What's the end game for EMM?
- What's happened to Johnny Gomez?
- Will Tombstone be given a spot in the title match?
HAVE YOUR SAY:
I'm glad to see The Gallery appearing in the story again. It seems that Jasper plans to reopen it's doors with a new exhibit. What does he have planned? Will the new sheriff finally be able to stop him? Seems we're headed for another installment of this story for Locked and Loaded, and I'm liking the start of it here thus far.

Quote from Klaus Way on 12 July 2024, 02:10POP OF THE NIGHT: (What was the moment, in segment, that you enjoyed the most and why?)
I think this is a shared/linked pop for the introduction of Captain Arcadia and Hydra. As a Marvel fan, seeing these two setup in back to back segments made me smile, and I think I see a long and gruelling battle between the Cap and the new stable coming and I'm all for it. I thought that TYP demasking would bring us more clarity on who he really is but instead he has merely adopted a new mask, showing that he was indeed the one who wanted to save OSW all along.
BURNING QUESTIONS: (What questions does the show have you asking after reading?)
- How embedded in OSW will Hydra be or become? Will they have eyes and ears everywhere? How will this play against the Owls of Six Feet Under?
- Will Muerte succeed in turning Gemini?
- What was on that photo seen by Malachi midnight?
- What did George Cade have a "chip" for? It must have been something important or big?
- Will Redgrave manage to reopen the Gallery or will the new Sheriff stop him?
- WHAT IS IN THE MIRROR!?
HAVE YOUR SAY: (How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)
Oh Gosh Golly, Mr Sunshine is getting IN THE WAY of Klaus' mission to recruit the most incredible, dastardly, PLIABLE roster of freaks and oddities and I have the feeling he knows exactly what he's doing. Ain't no way he's as nice as this full time for no reason! And that in itself is freaky and odd. Maybe Klaus will want to recruit Sunshine before too long!?

Quote from The Burned Man on 12 July 2024, 03:38POP OF THE NIGHT:
Gonna give this to Hydra. I got some real old school Corporation vs. Ministry of Darkness vibes from this segment and I loved it. I liked how Zeus threatened to take Tombstone's life, only to be told by Narcissa that he couldn't since he was immortal. I also adored how Ares summoned his soldiers to distract all of Six Feet Under while they got away, just to have said soldiers get absolutely bodied by them at ringside. It was an awesome segment that saw what was claimed to be "the most dominant stable in OSW" get taken down a peg by the actual most dominant stable. I can't wait to see the stable warfare between these two ramp up over the course of the month. The main event to Locked and Loaded is gonna be really fun if Tombstone gets in the match alongside Attano and Thorpe.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
Why did EMM save Gemini's life? Can she be kept silent about what's behind the door now or will she run her mouth at the expense of the Mariachi? Hell, what even is this new Gemini like? Is she like her old self where she was being two separate people? Or does she just have a single personality like she did as Nergal?
What did George Cade do in order to receive a favor from Zeus that he simply couldn't dismiss? It must've been something really big to get Zeus to add CJ to the world title match no questions asked.
Will Jackson be able to prevent Jasper from reopening the gallery? Is it really just like old times with Cade not being able to catch the Artist, or are things going to be different now that there's a new Sheriff in town?
Who is the mysterious woman that appeared in the mirror? What does she seemingly want with Narcissa? I'm intrigued by the sight of this character and I have to wonder just what her deal is.
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Not a whole lot to say for Blaze. Dude spent the whole show knocked out after a mighty swing from Hatchet. So, in the interest of making this section longer, I'm going to gush about how we got Captain Arcadia to debut and save the lives of Burning Justice. I love how he managed to appear out of seemingly nowhere to knock down all of the Gathering and take Hatchet's bat from his hands. It comes across as something a superhero would pull off, which makes me wonder both how he did it and what kind of abilities/tools he has at his disposal to do that. I have to wonder if he knows what he's getting himself into, despite his saving the day for the Rijen family. Hatchet has proven himself to be a dangerous man, so I wouldn't count him out just yet when it comes to this hit and wanting revenge for ruining it.
With that out of the way, I hope Maxwell's alright. I'd hate for him to be considered dead after that. Especially after winning a brand new belt, too!

I love the idea that things aren’t all cupcakes and rainbows for Zeus and Narcissa. That something as simple as Zeus paying back a favor to George and adding CJ to the Championship Match at Locked and Loaded. Their chemistry in this and the bickering was fantastic. This segment also really got over the new announce team and their bicker as well which really enhanced it. Then the woman in the mirror was the fucking cherry on top of this hot fudge sundae.

WELCOME CAPTAIN ARCADIA! Just a wonderful way to evolve the sole surviving member of the Kingdom and putting him with Blaze and Destructo Boy against Hatchet is fucking brilliant!

How much further will Zeus fuck over Harold? Harold gets another shot at the Big Gold but there are seriously some sinister undertones here what the hell is going to happen?
Nox: He gets pinned by Harold, (Insert, “I’m Kicking My Ass” scene from Liar Liar, here). But he seems to be on the back burner here and you can’t always have all your characters front and center at all times. Nox still has his presence, and I can’t wait to see where he goes with his relationship with Narcissa.
