Quote from Eclipse on 15 July 2024, 09:24POP OF THE NIGHT:
One. Very atmospheric, and there's nothing like a good cliffhanger to get you excited for the next show, and the lack of the 'stop' icon that usually ends the show just served to add to the 'oh fuck', it was a very nice touch. Looking forward to seeing what happens, as well as maybe learning a lil more about the history of The Gallery and Cade/Redgrave,
BURNING QUESTIONS:
- What is the cause of Gemini's apparent amnesia?
- What do both Aurora and Raven have planned for each other?
- Who is that hot Mama Shango?
- What is Gino's role in Troy's operation? Just a hired heavy, or do they have another business transaction?
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Again, I still haven't found my voice as Aurora so hard to comment on depiction, but I'm definitely invested in the storyline and what exactly is going to happen. I am absolutely clueless as to the direction where things are heading, which is always good.

Quote from DOOM on 15 July 2024, 16:52POP OF THE NIGHT:
The saga of Jackson Cade & Jasper Redgrave was the highlight of the night for me. I always enjoyed these two when they feuded and the whole story from start to now has been pretty fucking special. I'm surprised Cade went after him so hard, so early. It seems like in many ways, it'd be a mistake after what happened to him in the past.
I think him being there and us cutting is a dangerous place for Jackson. Will the match now happen in the Gallery? I reckon that's probably likely and if so, what might be find there at Locked and Loaded?
BURNING QUESTIONS:
- Gemini can't remember.. hmm... ?
- Will Narcy recover from the mental torture in time for the PPV?
- How will Doom truly react to being abandoned by Burning Justice?
- What next for Cade?
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Interesting to see Burned Man & Destructo Boy leave the Pool Boys this week. I thought that might happen and I'm curious about where Doom will go from here. Foley will obviously have a sense of sympathy for them. I did think the dialogue was a tad robotic this week. I didn't like how any of them talked. It felt a little forced and a little unnatural in places.
Doom should also be remembered as a sociopath. Foley has softened him somewhat, but he's still a highly intelligent nutjob. I hope to see that side of him with the match booked this week because I don't think he should be too softened by Foley.

Quote from Gravedigger on 17 July 2024, 12:41POP OF THE NIGHT:
One would be my favorite of the night, but without two and three, you don't really have anything. The whole build up of the story throughout the show was extremely interesting and I look forward to see what happens between Cade and Redgrave next.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
- Who is the temptress haunting Narcissa?
- What happens to Jasper Redgrave?
- Will Gemini remember?
HAVE YOUR SAY:
I really loved my segment this week. The attitude of SFU and the reference to the lucky break stuff is really cool. I like how the stable is coming together and teaming with Sam this week has been the most fun I've had in efedding in quite some time. I've never had to work on promos before so I'm really excited by it. Six Feet Under may just be the biggest group I've ever been in too.

Quote from El Mariachi Muerte on 18 July 2024, 00:24POP OF THE NIGHT: (What was the moment, in segment, that you enjoyed the most and why?)
ONE
Holy moly. There's some suspenseful writing in this. The writer does an amazing job of building the tension in the segment, the description and the scene and the use of the blank canvas and the bucket. You know how Redgrave paints his canvasses, so it it enough of a symbol to get the mind racing. Everything built its way towards a single moment. That moment when the lights went out, and all hell breaks loose in the dark.
The scream, not oversold, but a single scream. It is enough to punctuate the segment because of the way it was built up.
Standing ovation.
BURNING QUESTIONS: (What questions does the show have you asking after reading?)
What the hell happened to Cade?
What are the different interpretations of 'one last performance' that we're going to witness next week? I'm sure Raven has a different idea to what Aurora has, but exactly what he's got planned and why he was actually keen to agree with her makes one wonder.
We're two weeks in and Captain Arcadia has already had his shield taken. That's Arcadia for you haha. I like the idea of that, but I wonder whether Hatchet has plans for the shield itself beyond it just being a trophy? And what will Captain Arcadia do to get it back?
Who is this mystery woman Narcissa is tormented by? Where do her powers come from? If this is a new character, I'm so down!
HAVE YOUR SAY: (How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)
EMM
I am so intrigued about the dynamics at play here. EMM definitely seems to still have a soft spot for Gemini, so I'm thinking he may not quite be on the level with Hydra. There's a bit of a softness to him in his interaction with Gemini that is subtle, I like that. But then again, there's something in that smile at the end.
He did say to Zeus that he would make sure she knows the value of keeping her lips shut, but if she cannot remember what happened... Why do I get a sense that something else is going on here?
SUNSHINE
I really like this as a story focus. All it took is one little seed of an idea planted by Sunshine and Klaus's circus gets ideas of revolution. He's not going out there to try and fight Klaus toe to toe, he's just being himself. He can't help it if he gives people hope, can he? Great writing, and love the characters.

Quote from Captain Arcadia on 18 July 2024, 04:58POP OF THE NIGHT: I've always been a bit of a contrarian with this category where I can be, and for me the one that really takes the cake for me is What Do You Remember? in terms of segments. There's a bit of a strange twist that both Gemini and El Mariachi Muerte are two characters that have lasted since the beginning of Volume 3, and seeing that Gemini doesn't remember anything leaves them at an interesting point. Does Gemini not remember anything because of the lack of power, or did El Mariachi do something? What will happen from here? That is what I want to know, and I love seeing it all go down.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
- Why the mind games with Narcissa from Six Feet Under? It feels like more than just the title in this.
- With the end of the Pool Boys, where do Burned Man and Destructo Boy go from here?
- Who screamed in the dark at the end of the line of One?
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Captain Arcadia: Something's up here with this new little gimmick. The laugh after the shield was taken seems to angle that there's something more on here than meets the eye. Perhaps a built in tracker? In either case, I did really enjoy seeing that there's still the youthful YP in there, where he's making mistakes and learning from them more. 4 v 1 is a bit nuts and if he's gonna be a bit nutty then we'll be a bit nutty!
Candy Kane: Not as directly involved this week, we see more of her actions stirring things up between Troy and Gino which was a fun little twist. Loving these two interacting, and I can't wait to see how this is going to play out for Candy Kane.

Quote from Malakai Midnight on 18 July 2024, 13:58POP OF THE NIGHT:
I have to concur with Captain Arcadia. My favorite segment of the night would be What do you remember? as well. I suppose what I want to know is what would happen if she did remember something, or if she does in the future? Is she going to remember what they did and who they did it to? If she does, will she keep that secret or drop it? There's a lot of think about in this segment and I'm here for it.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
- Is Cade gonna make it to the Main?
- How fucked is Narcissa now?
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Last week I spoke about Malakai's character and his owls and I'm so pleased to see it immediately taken on board. The nurse being an owl of his and feeding them information is totally fucking awesome and does a lot for the Midnight character whilst progressing the storyline. They knew about TBM's betrayal and Tombstone dealt with that in the Inferno Match. Now both he and Gravedigger will deal with Burning Justice and I think the story is setup for a pretty good finale.

Quote from Destructo Boy on 18 July 2024, 21:48POP OF THE NIGHT: I'm going to triple it and go with What Do You Remember? as well. With the curiosity of what behind the door did to Gemini, seemingly curing her of anything demonic or mystical, there was the big question of if she remembered anything. Obviously, if she did, she'd go the way of everyone else Zeus needed to silence and the added wrinkle of her closest living ally in EMM having to do it is great. And then...she seemingly remembers nothing. Whether that's everything she's forgotten (she never addresses Muerte by name so it is possible) and being cleansed of Nergal wiped her clean or it's just hidden away deep inside for her to access later is still up in the air but there's a huge story here for not only both Gemini and EMM but Arcadia as a whole if the daughter of Calypso ever begins to remember anything.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
Who is the dark skinned visage of a woman taunting Narcissa and is Tombstone/Six Feet Under involved somehow?
What exactly happened at the Gallery and how much vengeance is Jackson going to want coming out of it...if he was able to come out of it at all?
Why exactly is Captain Arcadia happy he got his ass beat by a bunch of juggalos? Is he just loving the fight or is his shield getting taken all part of the plan?
What will this last concert be for Raven and will Aurora deeply regret who her idol was next week?
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Gino 'Don't call him Tony' Carelli: Absolutely loving the vibe between Gino and Lionel here, Troy trying to pretend to be the upstanding religious man and Gino just the concerned citizen looking out for the community. Adding in the wrinkle of Gino to the mystery of the lesser Colt's demise and Candy trying to solve it is great and I'm very much looking forward to this meeting on the next show, it should be something fascinating and very danger...I mean a simple talk hashing out our differences.
DB: So out of the familia flames and into the inferno it seems. The kid managed to save his dad and thankfully not get downed by clowns thanks to Captain Arcadia but now they have a ton more issues to deal with. Not only is Six Feet Under coming for blood thanks to Blaze no longer being in control and all evil, but it seems the Pool Boys might be breaking up. Doom's pissy that James used some of the pool water to fix TBM, TBM's not wanting the good doctor to further influence his boy and poor James and Felix caught in the middle of it all. A lot happening all at once here and I'm very intrigued to see how this continues next show. Just silently hoping that the Pool Boys aren't done and James doesn't lose his other dad and his uncle soon.

Quote from CJ Thorpe on 18 July 2024, 22:11POP OF THE NIGHT:
Insanity. Tombstone's mind games with Narcissa are really getting to her. There's a lot of implications here. For Tombstone to be able to mess with her like this means she's not near as untouchable as she wants to be after realigning with Zeus. The continuation of this is probably what I want to see most going forward.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
Is Doom ready to get his conquest back on track?
Is Captain Arcadia really a fuckboy? And how did he lose his fucking shield already!?
Is TBM (and Destructo Boy by proxy) really willing to alienate everyone out there?
What will Raven's performance be?
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Gemini - So she can't remember anything. A void? I wonder if someone put the void there, whether Zeus or EMM or whoever, or if it's just a natural consequence of Nergal's forceful removal. Either way, I'm curious to see how this turns sour for this pair.
CJ - Looks like C.J. and Attano are one half of the World title match right now, in terms of story. Narcy and Tomby are playing the other half. This feels like one of those programs that could be solved if people actually talked to each other. Why are the Cade's being so quiet about the how of knowing Michaela is alive? It suggests something sinister, or you'd think they'd just tell him and let him be on his way.

Quote from Klaus Way on 19 July 2024, 00:06POP OF THE NIGHT: (What was the moment, in segment, that you enjoyed the most and why?)
The countdown trio, for sure. Whilst Jasper Redgrave being in Deathrow was fun and added to that storyline immensely, leading to lots of other little dominoes falling such as his own part in the Uprising, it was this Redgrave, the cerebral, terrifying monster that made him the beast of a character. Seeing him not only back at the Gallery, but playing mind games, and then presumably taking out a bunch more APD officers (seriously, they're going to have to up their recruitment targets!) in a delightfully campy yet terrifying end segment, that's where he belongs as a character. Great to see this side of him back, and I hope it continues.
BURNING QUESTIONS: (What questions does the show have you asking after reading?)
- I still want to know who the woman Narcissa saw was!
- It looks like George Cade might be quite a big influence over Jackson Cade's reign as Sheriff - could we see him manipulate his sons to get what he wants? And what exactly is it that he wants anyway? And why did Zeus owe him?
- Why did Cap Arcadia laugh - does he know something we don't?
- Did EMMs song create the void in Gemini's memory or is it genuine amnesia and he just tried to lead her to a false memory? And of course - when will she remember?
HAVE YOUR SAY: (How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)
Oh no! That rascal Mr Sunshine has started to sew discord between the freaks. I wonder if any of them will actually leave or whether it is all just idle talk. It's interesting that some of them really do see Klaus as their shield from the "real world". In reality he is more likely to be the arrows fired at them than the shield deflecting them away. Maybe he set this all up for a "us against the world" vibe, to keep them in check.
I do like seeing other freaks in the segments, hopefully they are fleshed out and keep popping back up, even if they aren't always present.
