POP OF THE NIGHT: (What was the moment, in segment, that you enjoyed the most and why?)

BURNING QUESTIONS: (What questions does the show have you asking after reading?)

HAVE YOUR SAY: (How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)

POP OF THE NIGHT: So for me it's gonna be Queen of the Damned, and I think I'm rapidly becoming a massive mark for Calypso. Something about the way she's being written, the dread of the announcement of Narcissa's supposed fate to be wed down to the king of the damned, which throws Zeus through a loop. This makes me wonder if the switch to panic is for Tombstone being the one marrying Narcissa and throwing him out of whack, or if the King of the Damned is someone else that's got history with Zeus. Curious to see how this plays out in the next show for sure!

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  • What kind of revenge will Hatchet and Gravedigger get on Gemini?
  • Where/How did Six Feet Under take Ares and Zeus's guard?
  • How far will Muerte chase St. Grizzly?
  • How will Doom try and control Mr. Sunshine after Nox's failings?
  • Will that brotherly bond keep the two of them going on past that title shot to get Redgrave, or will CJ try and screw over Jackson?

HAVE YOUR SAY:

Candy Kane: Absolutely adored the segment this week! Searching through the ruins of the business that used to be Gino's and stumbling upon the blood stain still left on the floor and the wreckage of what happened was fantastically on point. The way that it ended in the staredown was just a fantastic turn of events, felt like the beat you'd see in an old noir scene. Loving how that's going.

Captain Arcadia: Excellent matchwork, and congrats on snagging the win there Bryno! Happy with how that one was written out.

POP OF THE NIGHT:

Queen of the Damned - Tombstone is not only challenging Zeus' authority now, but his manhood as well. He's taken his wife hostage under threat of marrying her and the Baron seemingly has no back up to prevent it. I can't wait to see what happens next week. I'm eager as fuck to know whether Tombstone takes a bride in Narcissa, against her will, or not? Perhaps she's in on it? I wouldn't put anything past her.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  • Will Narcissa be married to Tombstone?
  • Can CJ be trusted?

HAVE YOUR SAY:

Doom and Nox seemingly want to try and manipulate Mr. Sunshine into following their lead. I think they're probably trying to hard, if anything. You'd hope Doom would learn from his alliance and friendship with Foley that a softer touch actually works with the more simple of folk. I suspect Doom may try and befriend him next, since that's a more logical step for the character. He has a knack for befriending those perhaps a little more naïve than himself and a promise of a friendship might just make Mr. Sunshine happy.

POP OF THE NIGHT: Not to beat a dead horse by Queen of the Damned gives me pure Undertaker vibes. I think we all know what's coming and it'll be a sight to behold. I hope there's a graphic for it.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  • Will Narcissa be married to Tombstone?
  • Can CJ be trusted?
  • Will Foley work with Midnight?

HAVE YOUR SAY: It's an interesting dynamic to see Midnight defending Foley against Klaus this week, but it goes to show the grip Tombstone has on SFU and its members. Malakai is only a follower by choice and his choice to obey the orders of Tombstone means there's something massive in it for him. That's just his nature. These three need to come together if they're to win Chain Reaction.

POP OF THE NIGHT: (What was the moment, in segment, that you enjoyed the most and why?)

I actually really liked Team Building from this show, I thought the character building for Gemini in particular was really well done. It reminded me a lot of the early days when we had Gemini Light and Dark, and the more airy, ditzy Light was shining through for sure in this one. It does make you wonder if it is an act though, and maybe she does remember what happened to the other half of Apokalypsis...

BURNING QUESTIONS: (What questions does the show have you asking after reading?)

  • What does becoming "bride of the Damned" entail for Narcissa, and will it actually happen?
  • Will Nox's fungal fun gas have any lasting effects on Sunshine or did Doom end it soon enough?
  • Where are Ares and the army? Are they actually gone!? Could they be dead even?
  • Will the Brothers Cade manage to put an end to Wasper Wedgrave?

HAVE YOUR SAY: (How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)

I quite like that the Unnaturals have this fandom over Foley, he ran a very famous show at one point of course, and sometimes it's easy to forget how that would impact people growing up in Arcadia, especially impressionable and vulnerable people who end up in a freak show...

The undertone of threat Klaus spoke with was nice too. I think the disagreement between Klaus and Malakai is going to be the undoing of this team though 🙁

POP OF THE NIGHT: (What was the moment, in segment, that you enjoyed the most and why?)

TOXIC FANDOM

I love this. There's so much going on here. There's always now this undertone with Klaus Way and his circus of "are the niceties on the level or just subterfuge?" Which definitely crosses my mind here.

Either it's like Sunshine, and it's actually Klaus's way of getting close enough to take control, or the Unnaturals are genuinely fanboys of Foley. I think that's the beauty of it, you never can be sure. It's played so well.

I love the smile it brought to Foley's face before Klaus stepped in and took back control of the situation. It's such a sad smile depicted (the first one since Tombstone...) nice touch.

Queen of the Damned is also a great shout here. I think what really brought that emotional impact into that segment to bring it home was that moment of pause in the commentary at the end. Such a subtle writing device, but damn it's effective to drive a point home.

BURNING QUESTIONS: (What questions does the show have you asking after reading?)

- My big question really is what is this scoop that Candy and TBM have got going on actually going to uncover. I get a real uneasy feeling about that whole situation.

- where are Ares and the entire army? What in Zeus's name is going on here?

HAVE YOUR SAY: (How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)

EMM

I quite like this little story here of cat and mouse. It's bringing out a real deathly side of Muerte that I think he actually needs beyond his guitar, so that's been great to explore. I love that cartoony movie sense of the fact that he keeps catching the guy but then he slips away. What happens when he catches up for good? Well, it's building to that isn't it haha

Sunshine - Writing this one.

POP OF THE NIGHT:

MIA. Other segments may have been more action packed or had more immediate impact, but this is the segment that left me asking the most questions. How could Ares and the army vanish without a trace? Did they leave of their own accord? Did Six Feet Under get to them? Are they alive or dead? Is Ares going to betray Zeus somehow? Could Scott Sterling be lying on behalf of Ares or someone else about their disappearance? Lex Luger doesn't know, and neither do i. I hate a mystery if I am not going to be presented with the answer at the end, and love a mystery when I am. OSW delivers the latter, so excited to see what comes of this.

BURNING QUESTIONS: (What questions does the show have you asking after reading?)

  • What will being the Queen Of The Damned entail for Narcissa, if the wedding gets that far?
  • Where the fuck is Ares and his lads?
  • Will Gravedigger and Nox even allow Gemini into the match at Chain Reaction?
  • Grizzly still lives and is evading EMM. Does he have a new handler?
  • Do the Unnaturals actually like Foley, or is he just being suckered in like Sunshine? I can't trust them for shit now.

HAVE YOUR SAY: (How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)

This is the most character I feel Aurora has shown on the shows so far, and I'm digging it. She's got that edge to her that you'd expect from someone rough enough to handle extreme sports (and the pain involved in getting good at those!), but she still differentiates between heels and faces, as demonstrated by her being more disappointed in Destructo Boy than Redgrave who she considers an irredeemable lost cause. Good stuff!

POP OF THE NIGHT:

MIA. Ares and the army are gone? That's a big fucking deal. Where are they? Did SFU actually do it? Or is there something else going on here? I also like seeing Zeus and Scott Sterling interact, it's nice to see those interactions we don't always get to see in this type of fashion. Great segment.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

Will Narcissa end up married to the King of the Damned?

Will EMM get his hands on Grizzly St. Claire?

What does TBM know, and will it cost Candy Kane?

HAVE YOUR SAY:

Gemini - Wrote this one.

Thorpe - I'm glad to see Jack isn't the daddy's boy C.J. seems to think he is. Let's go get that bastard Redgrave!

POP OF THE NIGHT:

MIA surprised me most because Zeus being without his army is quite the problem. How did Tombstone make that happen, assuming that he did? It doesn't make sense to me that they can all just vanish. I know SFU are powerful and together, they can make anything happen, I'm sure. But an entire Army used to defend Arcadia from threats going missing is not quite right.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

Is the army gone? If so, where and by whom?

Is CJ Thorpe really to be trusted by Jacky?

TBM knows something... what?

What happens to Narcissa next week?

HAVE YOUR SAY:

No Tombstone on this show but I'd say there felt like there didn't need to be, really. The segment that opened proceedings was all about the Ferryman and his captive in Narcissa. I love this dynamic and I feel like what comes next week might be an all-time famous moment in OSW.

POP OF THE NIGHT: MIA
Wow, The Baron is without an army? Quite shocking to find that out. What has happened to them? How would SFU dispose of the entire army? I'm not sure yet what might be going on here, but Ares and the army are missing and that's huge.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  • Does Narcissa become Queen of The Damned?
  • What's happened to Ares and the army?
  • What does TBM know?
  • Can either Cade brother be trusted? And can they end Jasper for good?

HAVE YOUR SAY:
So the Cade brothers unite before Chain Reaction to come after Redgrave with a means to an end? I'm here for it. A huge segment this week, Cade denouncing his father's lack of pride for CJ's title win was a key takeaway from this week I think. As the golden boy of the family, I was shocked to see that reaction from him. A nice cliffhanger to end the week on, and I can't wait to see what happens next.
