Vendetta #362

Quote from Harold Attano on 6 September 2024, 03:41POP OF THE NIGHT: (What was the moment, in segment, that you enjoyed the most and why?)
Gravedigger becoming number One contender and the fallout. I know what it’s like to put in that type of work and how psyched Connor has to feel getting to that point and then to have everything shakeout with the buried alive stipulation is going to make for an amazing culmination to it all. Chain Reaction was a fantastic build to all of this as well. Digging your own Grave expertly set the table for Bad Blood and that card from top to bottom is going to be killer!
BURNING QUESTIONS: (What questions does the show have you asking after reading?)
What has Fernicus done and how will Tombstone expose this to Felix?
How will the Cade brothers deal with the threat of the House of Judgment?
How will Harold come back from where he’s at?
Is Mrs. Foley done about to leave this mortal plane, and will Tombstone need to ferry her soon?
Are Sunshine and Nox forming a relationship akin to Doom and Foley?
Is Redgrave going to attempt to Aurora into one of his Masterpieces?
HAVE YOUR SAY: (How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)
Nox: I love how fucking manipulative and sinister he can be. I love the idea of him weaving this web to tempt Mr. Sunshine into it. Asking myself what happens if Sunshine is brought under Nox's control or what happens if there actually is a genuine friendship blossoming between the two and what happens from there, Nox and Sunshine as a team? I could see it.
Harold: This whole story is hitting home for me. Those who were here earlier this year know that I’ve had my own health complications and I remember even though it was a short stay in the hospital just how helpless I felt that first night. I woke up to have tests run on me and walking around to give myself confidence I was still whole. I can feel myself in Harold’s shoes here, emotional, frustrated, and just wanting to return to what was “normal”. Then to feel as if things may never be what you considered “normal” again. Dean gave me shit for saying I ran through the aisles of a store just because I could days after what happened, and I just said, “I needed to feel like I could still do it”. I can see Harold being the same way. The Doctor tell him he should never be back in the ring and he goes back just because he needs to feel he could still do it.

Quote from Destructo Boy on 6 September 2024, 04:08POP OF THE NIGHT: Very, very tough here and I could probably put every segment here cause this show was absolute fire but as an OSW history lover, it's gotta be Out of Surgery. While Attano has been giving me a lot of darker Brent Kersh vibes recently, this is a playbook straight out of Bruce Van Chan's story. While the circumstances are different (Attano the temporary paralysis, Bruce the manufactured heart attack), they both happened to driven men trying to fight a bigger evil and I'll wager anything that just like BVC, Attano's not letting some doctor dictate if he can wrestle again or not. I just hope it doesn't end up in the absolute tragedy that was the Bruce Van Chan story.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
- While the House's foundation is somewhat solid with reasoning, how quick will it crumble when more selfish motives rear their ugly heads?
- Will the Cade Brothers be able to take down Tombstone or will their fates be just like Attano and their father?
- Will Felix lose another person he cares about and what exactly is this secret his momma's been keeping from him?
- Can Captain Arcadia remember that he really needs backup before going into dangerous situations?
- How deadly will DOOM's wrath be upon the Burned Man?
- Is Aurora right that Redgrave is the peeping tom or is Redgrave just a red herring? Albeit a sick and twisted bastard of one
- Are we seeing the Besties 2.0 with Nox and Mr Sunshine here?
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Welp the Kid again is going into dangerous territory with reckless abandon and at least this time it makes perfect sense. Captain Arcadia failed and he can't exactly rely on his beat up dad for help so he has to go it alone to find answers they both need. The first attempt obviously fails cause James is a dumbass and runs into the wolves den but I'm very curious to see how his second attempt goes and if he'll be able to get anything out of Hatchet at all.

Quote from Jackson Cade on 6 September 2024, 05:23POP OF THE NIGHT:
I have to go with The Building of a House for this week because it instantly answered a burning question I had previously which was just why Tombstone would ally with Zeus. Previously I was under the assumption Zeus had simply played the longest con possible, but knowing now that they made the decision on that very night makes much more sense.
This means Attano wasn't set up by Zeus to get injured.
It also means Paragon telling the truth caused the formation of the House of Judgement, something I have to wonder if he has mixed feelings about. I'm also curious how strong the alliance between Zeus and Tombstone can remain. They have a similar goal, but that can only carry their relationship so far, can't it?
BURNING QUESTIONS:
- What did Felix's mother whisper to him?
- Will Attano ever wrestle again?
- How long can The House of Judgement co-exist?
- What secrets are in Fernicus' diary?
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Jackson Cade: Up until now momma Cade has been a supportive mother and wife who sat on the sidelines, but I find it extremely interesting to see her lose her cool like this and demand Jackson and CJ actually KILL Tombstone. I honestly appreciate her getting some more characterization. As for what followed, I love how the Cade Brothers went straight to Gravedigger's turf. Really excited to see this feud as it advances.
Hatchet: Man, Hatchet is just the biggest piece of shit, huh? I'm looking forward to seeing what happens to Destructo Boy going forward now that he's made his intentions known. Hatchet seems insanely hard to get to past his wall of Gathering members, so one has to wonder just how Destructo Boy plans on getting the drop on him.
