POP OF THE NIGHT:
Giving this to the Visiting Hours series. I feel bad for Harold, man. He gave up a lot for Zeus and Narcissa, and they aren't even grateful for it. Worse yet, he knows that whatever happened to Michaela was on Zeus's orders, so he's not exactly thrilled with having to fight the man who came to kill him in the last segment. Sure CJ stopped George from finishing the job, but that didn't mean shit when Narcy came along with the Voodoo Child to cause chaos. It ended on a hell of a cliffhanger, and I'm kind of worried to find out just what will happen when things settle down at the next show.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
Will Harold Attano be able to make it to Ring King with the shape that he's in? It doesn't seem likely, given that we saw him barely manage to take a step while being in agonizing pain. But maybe he'll prove us wrong?
What exactly is Jackson Cade's plan for Tombstone? He's saying that he wants to meet Tombstone in the Metalworks next week, but that match isn't on the card. What's the deal?
What kind of movie is Jasper planning to make with Aurora? A snuff film, perhaps? Maybe more moments of her screaming in terror so he can relive them again and again? I'm curious to find out what will happen.
Is the Mariachi's guilt causing him to hear Drewitt's voice accusing him? Or is Paragon somehow capable of sounding like his supposedly dead former friends? Is it love that's preventing him from telling Gemini the truth, or is it something more sinister? I'm anxious to find out and to see what will happen when she remembers.
HAVE YOUR SAY:
TBM - Maxwell seems to have the opposite problem with his son now. Instead of disagreeing with James every chance he gets, now he doesn't seem to know when to say no. Now they've set gas cannisters in Doom's Observatory to seemingly taunt him, invoking his wrath just after letting Burnie go. Knowing how vengeful and prone to anger the Scientist is, this is going to bite them in the ass so hard. There's always the chance that they didn't set the gas cannisters in front of his lab, but I don't think he'll believe it. I'm worried about just how badly they'll get beaten up next week, but I can't say that they don't deserve it if they actually did it.
Calypso - How the fuck did Calypso not break her knees after having three hundred pounds of Mighty Mighty land on them? 😛
Jokes aside, I still enjoy how she doesn't need to speak in order to make her presence felt. Kind of interested to find out what happened in the kerfuffle that was the ending segment. I don't know who will emerge from the darkness standing, but I'm excited to see!
POP OF THE NIGHT:
I loved visiting hours and I'll put that in have your say. Outside of those great segments, I want to put a spotlight on Scream. I love this classic callback to Jasper Redgrave’s brutality with it and seeing the response of Aurora is a true reaction, an angry yet grounded response to the madness of Redgrave. It's fun to watch and I'm curious how this month will go.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
How is the scream going to be the centerpiece?
What has happened to Michaela?
What does Doom know?
What is going to happen at the Metalworks?
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Narcy feels back and I'm loving it, full on cunt mode, holding everything over Attano, being brutally honest but enjoying the brutality more than the honesty. The conversation with Attano was a chef's kiss moment for me. Cut to the end of the show where she's paired with Calypso to bring chaos, can't wait to see how the bleeds into the upcoming show! Great stuff all around!
POP OF THE NIGHT:
Red Eye for me. Cade comes across as a complete badass, his monologue got me excited to see the lengths he's willing to go.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
- How far is Cade willing to go?
- What does Jasper have up his sleeve?
- Where does Ajax go from here? What's his next move?
- The vagueness of the Morningstar/Graves story is super intriguing, looking forward to see where it's going.

Loved this week, love seeing where my story is going. Super excited for the 4 way at Grimm Tales. Can't express enough how good of a time I'm having.
POP OF THE NIGHT:
Visiting Hours is a clear winner and produced a lot of solid feedback this week, so I'm going to highlight another segment that I really enjoyed - Is it Love? This whole story between Paragon and EMM has brewed silently until last week and then kicked into a higher gear this week with a bit of tormenting. Is Paragon behind this? Has EMM snapped mentally? Perhaps Drewitt is actually out of the trap? I don't know but Gemini is the real dark horse here. She has no idea what's gone on or going on and when she finds out, it'll be huge.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
- Will Harold be able to fight?
- Who walks away from the hospital melee?
- Will Gemini find out the truth?
- Who, if anyone, was speaking to EMM?
HAVE YOUR SAY: I thought it a tad bit strange that after the events of Bad Blood, Burning Justice coming after Doom again makes little sense. Destructo Boy forcing that hand is a little strange when there's no dog left in the fight for them. Framing the situation as if Doom has answers, after all this time, again makes little sense to me in the grand scheme of things. I don't mind a continuation of this story between Burning Justice and The Besties, but I feel like the angle has been well exhausted under the current criteria and needs freshening up way beyond what was produced if it was to continue.
Much like Mel, I too was disappointed not to see the muppet/puppet angle from the official news post continued in any fashion with Lost Tapes just around the corner.
POP OF THE NIGHT: (What was the moment, in segment, that you enjoyed the most and why?)
I really enjoyed the Visiting Hours trio of segments this week. It's surprising to see how far George is willing to go to protect whatever secrets he's hiding about Attano and his daughter. It's also surprising to see CJ stand up to his father, since it feels like all he wants is approval from old pops, and this is taking him further from that. It does show that he has a moral conscience though, at least, unlike George, who clearly does not.
BURNING QUESTIONS: (What questions does the show have you asking after reading?)
- How on earth is Attano going to fight in a matter of weeks when he can't even stand!?
- What does Jackson Cade think shooting Tombstone will actually do?
- What does Redgrave mean by Aurora's screams being the centerpiece of his latest creation, and what did he ask her to do?
- Why is Destructo Boy such a glutton for punishment? What is his plan?
- What was Nicks trade with the homeless person?
- Is that really Drewitt speaking to Muerte from his eternal trap room, or is this a trick of the mind? I think the latter, but wouldn't it be great if it were the former...?
HAVE YOUR SAY: (How did you like your characters portrayal and what are your thoughts on your current storyline? What, if any, improvements could be made?)
No appearance in segs this week for Klaus, the closest thing being Ajax's interaction with Malakai. Does this indicate a feud for the Circus with the Owls or even the House of Judgement, or is this just something between Ajax and Malakai only?
POP OF THE NIGHT: I'm keeping with my new favorite storyline in EMM/Paragon and Is It Love? I love this dark conscience in the back of his mind that Paragon's playing with EMM. Not quite the angel or devil but just that little voice echoing out the guilt Muerte clearly feels. Add in that of the voice of Drewitt (real or not will have to be seen) and it's very intriguing to see if EMM will do the right thing and tell Gemini what he did or if that choice will be taken away from him, alongside everything else hidden away from Gemini.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
-Will Attano be able to stand, let alone fight George Cade at Ring King and will he be able to find out the truth of what happened to Michaela?
-What exactly is this sinister picture Redgrave wants to film and can Aurora survive her debut feature?
-What will happen in the Metalworks and what exactly does the sheriff have up his sleeve?
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Gino Carelli: So finally the Don is coming after Candy Kane again, i absolutely loved Kane's narration spliced with Carelli going to war and I am very intrigued to see what happens next and if Kane can summon up anything against the entire Carelli family out for her blood.
Destructo Boy: And so we come back to DOOM. I had an inkling that father and son weren't done with their former ally and while it's definetly true that DOOM absolutely could help them with info or could possibly know more, I'm not sure it's smart to piss him off by the threat of more arson. Absolutely in character for the Kid who seems to be in charge at the moment with Maxwell following his son's lead at the moment but I'm curious if this'll end with somewhat of an understanding between the former allies or DOOM just kicking their asses again. Either way, very much looking forward to what comes next here.
POP OF THE NIGHT: SCREAM
I loved how it felt like Redgrave started off with playful banter, but the quick switch to, “Listen here, you bitch, either play your role or I’ll gut you like a fish!” was super intense and caught me as a reader. It made their entire encounter special enough for me to want to keep an eye on this story and see what’s next.
Also, this line killed me:
MATT RUBY: “We know the Kid won’t back down, but perhaps a couple of swings of the Shovel may convince him otherwise.”
I always love when commentators have smooth lines like these.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
• What did Redgrave say next to Aurora?
• How severe is the danger Candy is in?
• Will Ajax have a change of heart and join The House of Judgment after being attacked?
HAVE YOUR SAY:
I love everything that’s happening with Graves. Never in my wildest dreams did I predict this badass run he’s having. The storyline between Graves and Morningstar is heating up, and I can feel it’s going to get even more intense. I’m super excited to be working with you if and when it comes to a head. Thank you to the staff who continue to give their time in making Graves who he is here in OSW.
