Warzone #383

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

  1. Eclipse got some real shine this week. Love how vicious she appeared. She's been kind of vibing in these segs, which is always a good thing for the Invasion holder to do. When will we see her cash in that opportunity?
  2. Destructo found his voice in this seg tonight. I feel like this is a phenomenal pushing off point going forward for the character.
  3. I am glad The Night freed himself of his own accord. He's got such a cool mystique and aura that being rescued may not have worked with it.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

Can Gordon Ramsey be a part of the Hell's Kitchen match?

What the fuck is Tombstone going to do to Igor Mortis once he finds him? Death or something worse.

MY FAVORITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

I've been knee deep in creating two full college courses, so I can't say I read anything. I have already read everything for Pandemonium though, so I'm ready for next week!

HAVE YOUR SAY:

Grimskull - Grimmy is such a hater. He's so ready to unleash on Drewitt, and I can't wait.

Gemini - Is Drewitt sweet on Gem? Or is he just a nice guy trapped in a bad situation? I have a feeling Gemini doesn't agree with either. Love to see her still in this role in the Seekers where she has a real voice. It's been nice to see that development over the months.

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

  1. Run: Really good follow up from the prior week as that was a really big revelation. And now it seems like there's a mad dash to get distance. The line "I created him" going into "And now you're gonna pay for it" was really good.

2. Fractures and steel put forth some of the intrigued that would come with the civil war, of which I really liked. Given the whole people are not trusting each other. I have a feeling that in lambs to the slaughter which is an every man for himself kind of deal. These little things will be strained and pushed to their limit. Some might even come into play. and I'm excited to see it.

3. Sermon in the Ring 2 from Nero watching over everything to the feud. This joining to the seekers just felt natural. Even if it was in the middle of a build to the main event. It just felt right in the grand scheme of things.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  1. Will Tombstone catch Gravedigger?
  2. Will the chaos of Lambs cause any miscommunications and subsequent infighting?
  3. Who will walk out of Lambs as the winner?
  4. What will become of the temple after the assault on it?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

Been focusing on the stuff for Pandemonium, so didn't have a chance to read much or catch up.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

This was an especially chaotic episode for WFA which was really fun to read from the assault to the escape. It seems like everything with Eclipse hasn't quite ended yet. That's really exciting. And alsooooo it seems like she's been fitting in with the dragon stuff pretty well. So that's good excited for Pandemonium.

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

1. run to the hills was very intriguing for me. it just looks like a foregone conclusion that drewitt will flip to the seekers, and i just have a feeling grimskulls sensed this the entire time. so im just very interested to see now how he’s gonna approach this situation seeing as drewitt isnt holding up his end of things. but i imagine it wont be much more talking between those two moving forward

2. fractures and steel was especially dope to me because of the imagery aspect of it. it just sounded like a cool image, with klaus and sunshine outta nowhere delivering those chair shots to foley, captain, and destructo. for all the cracks that seem to be forming within the preservationists, they always seem to just find a way at some point to shift the momentum in their favor.

3. eclipse was portrayed in you should’ve lied as an absolute badass and a force to be reckoned moreover. it was the way that she crept about, scratching the walls as she went. the look in her eyes before the rage took over and then the manner in which she took out that elder. just amazing stuff.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

what’s tombstone gonna do once/if he gets to igor mortis?

is drewitt officially flipped to the seekers at this point?

will there be any flips of alliances shortly here as the stories heat up?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

i thought that the collar and leash promo was a cool, calm promo. the concept of it was cool and i thought everything was weaved together nicely.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

im super excited just at the thought of anton taking place in this hells kitchen match. these type of things are what i imagined when i wanted to make him, shit thats just unique and hasnt been seen before or at least maybe in a long time. i appreciate the time and effort that goes into these things by the creative members and i cant wait to see not just how antons match goes, but the entire pandemonium event.

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

  1. Run takes a spot for adding more fuel to the fire between Igor, Gravedigger, and Tombstone. I have to wonder just what happens now that Tombstone knows that Mortis is the one in control of the chains. Clearly Igor needs to hide, but WHERE can he hide in Arcadia? I'm not sure there's a single corner Tombstone can't get to.
  2. I thought Salty was a pretty good segment as well. I love a good brawl for a segment and the locale of this one specifically was exciting. If the Hell's Kitchen match has this segment as anything to go off of we'll have a crazy match on our hands between these two.
  3. Fractures and Steel to me was an excellent segment in regards to characterization and developing relationships between those characters. The Seekers aren't able to stay on the same page at all and it's fun to watch them implode. Leaves me curious to see if they bounce back from this.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  • Will Tombstone be able to find Igor Mortis?
  • How will sides change with the Seekers and Preservationists?
  • Who's winning Pandemonium?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

I enjoyed Afraid of the Dark the most this week. Hayden's a great writer and I think he took a pretty simple concept and capitalized on it beautifully.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

Jackson Cade: I loved the way Cade, Nero, Redgrave, and Graves had intertwining segments this month. The idea that Nero joined the Seekers is awesome tbh. I'm curious to see how this develops and to learn just why he decided to side with them. Really cool storyline this month overall, kudos to the writer.

Hatchet: I talked about this one above, but I'll reiterate I loved the characterization on display. It's hard to capture every character well with such a small wordcount so I like to point out when it's done well.

TOP THREE MOMENTS:

  1. Run was definetly a highlight this week. I'm loving the increasing little bits of lore we're getting from this whole Tombstone/Gravedigger feud and now seemingly we have confirmation that Mortis can actually die or at least be taken out of the equation for Tombstone to regain his Ferrymanship. The fear shown throughout by both him and Gravedigger was great, and fuck if I'm not intrigued to see if they manage to escape, even temporarily, or Tombstone gets that much closer to overthrowing the Valkyrie.

2. Eclipse getting a big shine this week with the no hesitation murder on the elder. She's just been there a little as of late so her stepping up and being  the sadistic brutal woman was a great touch and showed off just how dangerous she is now, especially with that ever looming threat of the briefcase

3. Salty was an absolute treat, there's definetly a weird chemistry between Savor and Attano with Harold able to show his more cocky ass side to infuriate the chef. Great setup for the Pandemonium match as that should be an absolute barn burner just from the sheer hatred shown here.

BURNING QUESTIONS:

  • Will Gravedigger be able to hide Igor or is it just an inevitability that Tombstone will end his creator?
  • Will there be any flips to either side coming? Will someone get that heated in the Seekers they eventually turn? Will Drewitt be forced to the other side through his compassion?
  • Who's winning Lambs?
  • Will Eclipse cash in to throw a spanner in the works?

MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:

I'm going with Afraid of the Dark too. Brilliant work here from such a simple concept and fuck if it wasn't a cracking promo from Hayden as always.

HAVE YOUR SAY:

Well the Seekers alliance is...shaky to say the least. A lot of big egos here that very much don't trust one another and Destructo absolutely doesn't trust any asshole here. Loved him berating everyone off the back of the broken comment and while I doubt the guy would turn, I wouldn't be surprised if this whole Seeker business isn't short lived if things keep going this way. Great stuff and very much looking forward to how things heat up soon.
