TOP THREE MOMENTS:
- Martyr - Hoo boy, that was a tense scene. Part of me was surprised Graves didn't take the opportunity to put the hurt on Foley the second he got out of the chair, but maybe he had either a healthy fear or respect for what Scissors might do if he did. I also got more of a glimpse into the Foley/Scissors duality, which is something I can't wait to learn more about.
2. War. I don't know if there's something I've forgotten or if this is something new, but this talk of 'ending' the war and it being a heavy line to cross... I don't know what their endgame plan is or was, but it certainly has me curious! Wonder if Zeus wanted to ignore the supposed neutrality of the Warzone to commit a massacre prior to his incapacitation. Also good to see Hatchet being a snivelling, slimy lil bitch and Ares encouraging it!
3. Seekers And Preservationists. I was certain Tombstone was gonna join the seekers, but sometimes 'knowing' something beforehand means you get that anticipation going, and just can't wait to see HOW it happens. There was classic Tombstone running riot, but the real interesting takeaway for me was that it was Foley who approached him. That took some major cojones given their previous history, and how they'll get along going forward feels like it is gonna be extremely important.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
- How will Captain Arcadia try to redeem himself, in both his own eyes and the eyes of the Arcadian people?
- Will The Night still claim the moral highground after ambushing and attacking his fellow seekers ahead of their match? How will the seekers not involved in the match respond to this?
- Not a question, but Ayame beating the shit out of Destructo was great. I really love to hate that guy. You'd think at some point he'd wise up and treat people better, even if just outta self-preservation, but part of me wonders if he's deliberately picking these losing fights to punish himself somehow.
MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:
I know there's been two weeks so there's no real excuse, but I just haven't gotten around to it. Sorry guys.

Jesus Christ, Eclipse really is a cold, cold bitch, isn't she? I'm here for it, especially since I'm so used to playing goody two-shoes characters. I've been having a wee bit of a wobble in my personal life which has interfered with my writing somewhat, but even when I just can't bring myself to put the metaphorical pen to paper, I'm still coming up with ideas and running through my head 'How would Eclipse view this? How would she respond?'. I'm very much enjoying the character, and I don't think I'd still be writing if I was going down the generic babyface route, so thank you to Dean and creative for giving me something so fun to work with.
TOP THREE MOMENTS:
1.The search for Tombstone 1-3, this was a brilliant way to show both sides and how important Tombstone is to either team. He's the paradigm shift for Arcadia and a competitor who can swing any match. So going from searching to someone finding him without knowing who was a clever way to thread him through the show.
2. Seekers and Preservationists, this was a beautiful swing in momentum despite my side being on the wrong end of it. Tombstone is revealed to be a seeker especially due to his feud with Gravedigger. This is going to be a monster match and Tombstone confirms it.
3. War- thus might be a little homerish but I'm loving the different sides of Ares and Narcissa shown here. She wants to go even further with war and violence than he does. That's heavy and potentially as dark as I've seen her go besides the actual murders she's done.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
Is Tombstone really a seeker or just someone who wants to destroy Gravedigger?
When will Scissors come back and is Foley really in control?
Did Arcadia kill Chavito?
MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:
I'll give this to Syntax error, I wasn't able to read many so I went to the top 3 admittedly. It was clever and a completely different way to attack a promo with a unique theme, really enjoyed that.
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Narcissa going into full violence mode without Zeus around, I fully dig it. She's losing it the more he's not around and she's ready to destroy the Seekers more so than even Ares. It's a mix of fun and scary.
TOP THREE MOMENTS:
1. The Search for Tombstone - It's a last minute clamoring to try to convince Tombstone to join their side of the battlefield. It's a lead up that builds throughout the show. And right in the middle is a nice little clash between Gravedigger and Cade. What's not to like?
2. Martyr - We all know there's an internal battle between Foley and Scissors, but adding this dickhead in the background shouting bible verses makes it land even that much harder. Foley doesn't want the monster to surface, but not always will he be able to stifle that feeling. Wouldn't mind seeing a more in depth look at the inner battle that happens in his head between his two personalities.
3. Seekers v Preservationists - A hard hitting go home. It was pretty obvious that Tombstone would be on the Seekers side, but the build up through the night and the moment where it feels like Felix might have been the convincing voice in the shadows from the previous segments is very nice story telling.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
- Who will win the war come Hounds of Hades?
- Will Scissors or Foley show up for Hounds?
- Will either personality ever be able to take full control?
MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:
Syntax Error - Very well written and deserving of this week's top spot. Nicely done. It's always to see Laner on his A-Game.
HAVE YOUR SAY:
The build to Hounds has been a bit of a fun one. I'm wondering if we find out anything more in regards to CJ Thorpe's body or why George Cade has turned on his son come PPV time. None the less, I hope that alliance between George and Jasper continues, I'd love to see more of their dynamic.
TOP THREE MOMENTS:
1. Seekers vs. Preservationists takes the top spot. It got us hype for the big 5 vs. 5 War Games match at Hounds of Hades. It also confirmed to the reader that Tombstone was convinced to join the Seekers, despite it taking a bit of convincing from Foley earlier on in the night to do so. Loved how his run as a Seeker was confirmed with a chokeslam to Jasper Redgrave too. If there was anyone that definitely deserved one of those and it couldn't be Gravedigger, it was the Artist. Loved this seg and I'm hyped for Hounds of Hades.
2. War takes the next spot. While it was cool to see Hatchet use that brain of his, the seemingly bubbling tension between Narcissa and Ares deserves to be highlighted here. Narcissa clearly wants the God of War to kick things up a notch in this battle against the Seekers. Not just to win it, but to end it completely. Just what will that entail? What does it mean for Hounds of Hades and the War Games match? Kind of scared to find out, but my deep seated curiosity demands to know.
3. You Can't Make an Omelet takes the last spot. Holy fuck, Savor's really laying it on thick not only to the Captain, but all of Arcadia. The chef's completely gotten under his skin with his latest mind game against the former Python, and now Cap looks like a vengeful bastard that doesn't give a shit about anyone but himself. What will Arcadia do to try and redeem his name? Can he even do that now? What must be done to get Savor to join his fight against the Sunshine Club and end their reign of terror once and for all?
BURNING QUESTIONS:
Will Scissors end up taking control of Foley at the War Games match? Can the Puppet Master fight off his alter ego and remain free from rot?
What will Caido do now that he's essentially allowed a widow and her kids to be murdered by Eclipse? How deeply will this affect him going forward?
Can Klaus Way send a message to Sunshine? To either get in line with the rest of the Preservationists or be destroyed like Charlie destroyed his home level? Or will the Cheerful one get one over on him even with the help of his freaks?
MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:
I want to give a shoutout to War of Regrets by Destructo this week. I like how he essentially said that Drewitt sold his soul to Zeus for a second chance at happiness, but ultimately regrets it now. I also enjoyed how he called out War for failing to live up to his moniker and being unable to sacrifice his past to tear everything apart. Fun seg overall, and I'm excited to see if he can carry his win over to Hounds of Hades.
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Night: Shit, Night's really escalating things, ain't he? We had a tender heart to heart between Drewitt and EMM, and Night decided to ruin it via sneak attack in the dark. Will this bite him and Harold in the ass? Probably, but for now, Peter was just sending a message that the Pilgrim and the Mariachi can't be trusted by either of them. Hopefully it can be rebuilt, but until then, it looks like we're going to have an all out war on our hands.
TOP THREE MOMENTS:
1. Martyr absolutely stood out here especially going into it knowing the history of Felix and Scissors. Poor Foley losing himself to the madness inside thanks that Nox's needle with the guy feeling like he can't drag himself out of the darkness he's been stuck in for years now. Like others have said the 'you think I want this? You think I wanted him?' pretty much says everything you needed to know and it all ending with Foley doing the right thing while he can and freeing Graves was great. There's still that veil of tension though for when Scissors will appear again and something tells me post Hounds or even at Hounds that freedom may be shortlived for the world champ
2. No One To Blame But Him. A simple effective scene that puts Eclipse over as a pure evil bitch. There's death and murdering someone getting in your way evil but then there's slow, methodical, presentation evil. This was some peak Artist devilry and god does it fit Eclipse to a tee. Cutting Caido down to the very bone with this action, very intrigued to see how the Dragon responds.
3. The Search for Tombstone III. So while the show closing segment was a definite great cliffhanger for Hounds, this one felt a little more...personal. A lot of the previous times either Cade or Jasper or whoever tried to coerce Tombstone to their team felt like they were either trying to tug on the emotional strings or past favors but this felt more pure facts. Spun by someone who we know from the followup knows Tombstone more then anyone in Felix. Civil War's here, you can't avoid it, make a choice. Brilliant stuff here and fuck if I'm not hyped for Hounds from this.
BURNING QUESTIONS:
- Has Savor succeeded in turning Arcadia against the Captain?
- How exactly will Narcissa and Ares do to enact Zeus's wishes to end the war?
- Will there be any betrayals or shock moments at Hounds?
MY FAVOURITE PROMO OF THE WEEK:
Going with Syntax Error here as Laners knocked it out of the park. Perfect flow, brilliant imagery and just a 10/10 killshot masterclass.
HAVE YOUR SAY:
Yeah this was bound to happen. James is absolutely losing it a little over these last few weeks from the fresh wound plucked inadvertently by Ayame and him attacking her was inevitable. So was the ass kicking he's needed to get for a while now, and here's hoping that combined with the match at Hounds will get his head a little straighter but I have this feeling something may happen at Hounds that'll fuck him up even more. Great stuff 10/10 and I can't wait for it to happen or whatever does at Hounds.
