WWF Sunday Night Heat #3 - Hard Times

PreviousPage 2 of 2

Paul Heyman: Seems like my client has someone to help him this week, do any of us really think he needs it?

He has destroyed anyone he gets in to the ring with, anyone with a head should know what will happen this week when two delusional fools face him.

Big Bossman, you felt his power last week, didn't you?

This week will be much easier for you as you don't even have to be an active participant, you can do what you're used to and watch your partner perform his own brand of brutality.

If it was anyone else, you'd have them arrested for assault and attempted murder.

When it's your partner, you watch and enjoy the violence or look the other way

Either way, you're an accomplice to the crimes we're all going to witness.

As for Hurricane and Al Snow themselves, these weather boys are about to get the worst forecast of their lives.

A torrential downpour of blows from every direction followed by earthquakes triggered by sudden impacts to earth all capped off by the storm all men fear, an F-5.

Big Bossman, just watch and don't chase the storm that is bound to come.

WWF Sunday Night Heat #3 - Hard Times

Target Center
Minneapolis, Minnesota

Show Open:

Goldust opens the show with a balloon in his hand. He says that, contrary to popular belief, he didn't do what he did to Val Venis last week because of Val and Terri having a thing. They're not married any longer, and she can do what she wants. No, he did it because Val won't shut up about it. Because they have a toddler at home who's going to have to answer one day for all of this. So next week, he's going to shut his mouth for him. He lets the balloon deflate as he says that it's really hard to deal with shattered testicles.

Scott Steiner vs. Raven

  • Big time domination from Scott Steiner, who seems unfazed by Raven's mind games.
  • But domination doesn't matter when the Titantron lights up to show the Natural Born Thrillers all taken out backstage.
  • The distraction is enough to give Raven the win.

Winner: Raven

Ringside:

Scott Steiner scurries backstage to find out what happened to his boys, while Raven sits in the corner with a mic. He cuts another promo on DDP, but this time DDP's music hits, and Page comes out of the crowd, wearing jeans and rib tape (for some reason). Raven taunts him, but DDP drops him with a Diamond Cutter, and says that he's positive that Raven's done running his mouth.

Val Venis vs. Diamond Dallas Page

  • Raven is still down in the center of the ring as Val comes out for this match.
  • These two are very fired up, based on their issues tonight.
  • DDP looks like the People's Champ of old, going hard at the Big Valbowski.
  • The ref tries to remove Raven's body from the ring, but the distraction allows Val to ruffle Page's diamonds and pick up the win.
  • As soon as the bell rings, Raven is miraculously able to leave.

Winner: Val Venis

Backstage:

Scott Steiner is with the Natural Born Thrillers in medical. The trainer is making them stay there the rest of the night. They didn't see who hit them, but said it was more than 1 of them. Big Poppa Pump doesn't believe them, and says he knows Jericho is all alone.

Chris Jericho vs. Goldust

  • Great battle between these two.
  • Jericho seemed to have the win well in hand until the sirens hit and Scott Steiner came out on stage. Jericho rushed out of the ring to confront him.
  • The ref counts to 10 and a confused Goldust takes the win.

Winner: Goldust

Backstage:

The Big Bossman has the Hurricane bound and gagged backstage. Hurricane is bleeding and covered in bruises kidnapped last week. Bossman says that Hurricane doesn't seem to want to answer the questions, and that his Hard Times are far from over.

Tag Team Main Event

Big Bossman & Brock Lesnar w/ Paul Heyman vs. Al Snow &...

  • The Hurricane is nowhere to be seen, still tied up backstage.
  • Al Snow does his best, but the brutality of the big men rocks him on every level.
  • The ref even turns a blind eye to Head being involved as Al tries to rally.
  • Toying with Snow, Bossman and Lesnar begin to argue over who takes the pin.
  • With a gust of wind and a blast of green, the Hurricane appears. With a flurry of offense, he knocks Lesnar out of the ring, once again robbing him of beating Al Snow.
  • Using Head, Hurricane knocks out Bossman, then collapses on top of him.

Winner: Al Snow & The Hurricane

Ringside:

The Hurricane is unconscious, his flurry not lasting very long. Bossman leaves up the ramp, licking his lips for what he'll do to him next week. Lesnar wants to take out Snow, but Heyman tells him to wait. They don't need the 24/7 rule of the Hardcore title. They're going to do it in the middle of the ring at Survivor Series.

Backstage:

Chris Jericho and Scott Steiner are brawling, tearing apart the backstage area. The Natural Born Thrillers, still hurt from the attack earlier run out of the trainer's office to help. They pulverize Jericho, beating him back out to the arena. They stand on the stage, and pose, but are nailed from behind by three men, who take them out. As the Thrillers and Steiner are backing up down the aisle, the three men help Jericho up. Chris Jericho didn't call anyone from WCW or the WWF to help him out, but he did something even better. He went Extreme. His old tag team partner Lance Storm. Mike Awesome. And Rhyno. Kevin Kelly yells that it's going to be four on four at Survivor Series as Heat goes off the air.
