I hear it all the time, “You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink”. This means you can tell someone the correct way to behave, act, or do something however, you can’t make them do the thing they should because the horse is a dumb creature meant for easing the world around it. A beast of burden that doesn’t know how to interpret the orders it’s being given.
You can spend years trying to get those around you to follow the leader however sometimes you need a bit more… persuasion to get them to toe the line. That’s what I have been providing for years, a level of persuasion that’s downright scary.
Isn’t that right Sunshine, I have been trying to lead you to the waters of knowledge. But you simply smile like a dim pillock who wishes to remain a beast that burdens himself by making everyone else happy and filling the air with empty platitudes. Even Doom tries to drag you along but like the mule you are, you remain stubborn and unmotivated to breathe it in and take our knowledge on board.
You just want to stand and smile, like a braying jackass. Plus, when you open your mouth it’s nothing productive. Everyone around you would rather the sound of silence than the chirping that comes out of your mouth.
This is why this week once again you will breathe deep and you will fall in line. Because I am going to prove to You, Doom, and the whole of Arcadia that I can make you drink. You may be a stubborn smiling mule but I have the right chemicals to make you drink.
So, this week I will give us what we need. Either you will start to listen or I will make you shut your bloody mouth. It will be a chain reaction, you will either fall in line and contribute to our victory or you will be silenced and we will drag your limp carcass over the finish line. Your insolence will be a thing of the past and you will be brought to heel.
This week my yellow-clad acquaintance you will be forced to stand across from me, in the presence of your superior because the biggest mistake you have made since being announced as our partner is to think that it makes you and I equal. I can tell you for a fact that is not true. But will be presented with the biggest choice in your life, you ignorant mule. You will either drink or you will drown.
Either way, the sun will set on your will to resist and you will break to mine. Because as I have told you before Charlie, it ends not with a bang but with you coughing, gagging, and wheezing. I promise you are the horse that will be made to drink.
