Open Letter: Si vis Pacem, Para Bellum or The War of Change

In Harold Attano, Promo by Harold Attano

Dear Zeus,

Every heart will one day beat its last beat and every person will one day breathe their last breath.  I know, I’ve seen it happen all too many times.

It’s because I understand something that may not have been conceptualized, we can’t go back to normal from here.  This is a war of change whether he sees it or not, it is what it is.

At Invasion, If Hera wins, Arcadia will morph, and every level will be beset by murders, sociopaths, and the dregs of society far worse than anything you currently know.  As Deathrow rises, they’ll take Narcy’s head because they won’t submit to her leadership when they decide they no longer need to hide.  There will be nothing but terror in their wakeChange isn’t even the word for it, the DEATH of Arcadia more suits the description

But the more insidious Invasion here known as “The Pool Boys” is the one you don’t even realize is happening right under your nose.  You, Ares, and Gordon have been watching Hera and Deathrow to the point where you didn’t realize Doom and Foley have been raising an army unifying them behind a chemical pool bath.  They’ve already perverted the minds and bodies of two of Arcadia’s greatest heroes, see the example now known as Blaze.  If they win, you don’t have to worry about never existing, they’ll seek to alter us all.

It is so much that I will not seek to rebuff their Invasion. No, I must be an Invasion unto myself. One man seeking to change OSW and Arcadia for the better, so we can stop the backroom deals! We don’t have to live in a world where murder and mayhem are casual occurrences! A world where men like me aren’t needed anymore.

“Si vis Pacem, para bellum”, you told me that when I had fewer grey hairs.  “If you want peace, prepare for war”.

I am prepared for war. I am more prepared for this war than any I’ve ever had.

If Hera wants to play at Invading.  It’s all she really can do… play, because when you look into my battle-ridden eyes she’ll crumble in the gaze of what the horrors of actual war are. She can look upon death and maiming after it’s happened but seeing it up close in real time, she’ll turn from the battlefield her resolve converted from resolute into the very fear her Uprising seeks to spread.

The same can be said for The Pool Boys because if they’re a disparate group with no unifying factor except their pool, that’s their beating heart. I will tear that beating heart from them. I will drain that pool manipulating their unity into mutiny and when they’re busy fight among themselves…

Nobody will snatch victory, Nobody will grab that briefcase, Nobody will be victorious, and Nobody will help guide our way forward.

Because Nobody better remembers our past better than anyone before him and therefore can see our future.

Signed,
