“Hello, anyone here?”
The voice of Jackson Cade echoes throughout the remains of a decimated laboratory. Dead scientists decorate the halls and research papers cover the floors, the likes of which Cade does his best to ignore as he trudges into a back room, one that bore an interesting Umbrella logo across its face.
“Those… Things must’ve come from here. But what the hell caused all of this?” His curiosity is soon sated as he sets eyes upon a laptop on a nearby desk. Jackson moves towards it slowly, examining the device only to see it was already logged into. He peruses the files until he comes across one simply labeled ‘Vengeance Virus: Report’. “The hell’s a Vengeance Virus?”
Double clicking, the file takes up the screen.

Notes:
The V-Virus clinical trial is entering it’s final phase. The new creature we’ve developed, “RaVen”, is the most successful attempt yet, but still imperfect. However, he has taught us much about how the V-Virus works.
Reproduction:
Our studies show the virus manifests slowly in its host. Once infected, subjects become embroiled in a deep, unmitigable rage. Increased heartrate, decreased cognitive ability, all coupled with enhanced physical ability. Subjects lose their capacity to reason, driven by the need to inflict pain onto others, even at the detriment to their own health.
Pathology:
After as little as 30 minutes or as long as 72 hours the host’s body shuts down entirely, ‘dying’. This is recognizable by their skin losing pigment and becoming unmistakably pale everywhere but their eyes and mouth which develop blackened skin on the eyelids and lips. Once at this point the subject loses all higher thinking, driven purely by instinct. Nothing matters to them but their own seething rage, the likes of which are taken out on anyone nearby. Those who survive these assaults often become host to the V-Virus. We theorize that if left long enough, a single subject could cause an outbreak in just 48 hours.
Containment:
While unyielding in its assault, even the most successful subject, RaVen, is still held back by the V-Virus’ inherent flaws. It is already dead, and thus, decaying. Though it wishes to fight and inflict itself onto others, it can only fight so long. Eventually, without enough firepower, even a creature like RaVen can be put down.
As Jackson reads the file, the sound of the door opening pulls him back to reality. In front of him, at the far end of the room, stands RaVen. The creature looks at him slack jawed, a rage filling its eyes. Cade sneers, pointing his pistol at the infected.
“So, you’re some kind of walking corpse, huh?” He speaks as confidently as he can, leveling his sidearm at RaVen’s head. “Well, you may be tough, but if there’s one thing I know, no matter how strong you are, there’s one surefire way to put you down.”
RaVen shrieks, bounding towards Cade!
“FUCK YOU!”
BANG!
Silence.
Cut.
