“Arcadia is a cage.”
“A massive jail cell that’s been locked up tight and the key long since thrown away. It’s a monument to confinement, an inescapable tower for all who inhabit it.”
“Now, you can look at those walls around you, feel the steel, and you can make a choice.”
“Do you sit there and just take it? Slump down next to the door and wait for death to take you?”
“Or do you stand up, shake the bars, and fight for your freedom?”
“To be honest with you Tombstone? I think I already know which one of the two you are.”
“Last week, I came to you, and I offered you something beautiful. I offered you the keyto escaping this hell. I offered you the chance to take the lock off the gate and snap it in two!”
“But what did you do when I offered a chance at freedom? Did you snatch it from my hands and drive it into the cell door?”
“Or did you ignore me, walking away without even sparing a word?”
“It left me wondering just one thing, though. Why? Why would you give up the chance at revenge on Zeus? On Gravedigger?”
“Then it dawned on me.”
“It’s because you like being trapped. Your whole existence has been because of the chains bound to your wrists. The very shackles that gave you purpose were the same ones that kept you locked tightly beneath Igor’s thumb.”
“So much so that as soon as he handed the chains to another man? The first thing you tried to do was get them back.”
“Without a the weight of a collar dangling from your neck you feel naked, you feel powerless. No matter how desperately you may dream of freedom, those chains are forever present in your mind.”
“You don’t want a key because you’re scared of what the world will be like once you escape your cage.”
“The cage is comfortable, it’s familiar. It’s everything you have ever known.”
“And I can’t say Arcadia isn’t all I’ve ever known.”
“But I can tell you that I want nothing more than to break free from beneath Ares’ thumb. I can tell you that no matter how terrified I am of the unknown, I would rather die free than live in captivity.”
“When we walk into Olympus and that cell descends, I want you to know that I don’t fear the reaper. I’ll walk into hell with you because at the end of the day? No cage will ever hold me captive ever again.”
“Because I have the key to victory.”
“I have the drive to live, to survive until I can stand tall, stand free. I have a want for liberty burning deep in my chest!”
“If you refuse to walk freely by my side, then I’ll let you stare at the lights in captivity.”
“It’s your choice to make Tombstone.”
“But I’ve already made mine.”
“And at Warzone, know.”
“The Law cannot be contained.”
“And I am the Law.”
