Turn the Page (Color Wheel I.V)

In Nox, Promo by Nox

We open on an unconscious Felix Foley surrounded by purple gas.  In the background, we hear the flittering of pages of a book being turned.  As we can take in the room we see Nox reading through Fernicus Foley’s journal intently.

“Oh, my friend I cannot wait to speak to you when you awake.  I never knew how deep this rabbit hole went.  I knew about the hidden family, the treachery, and the mistreatment.  But with every page, it just gets worse.  No wonder he lives within you.  If I lived through the pages of this book, I would need a protector to ease my pain and dispense it upon others too.”

Nox flips through a couple more pages skimming the writing as he stands and walks over to his unconscious trussed-up foe saying his head in mocking sorrow.

“With every page we turn, we grow closer to absolution.  Closer to the end of our story.  Closer to your answers, and ultimately the conclusion to a study I’ve been running for months.  What will it take to bring… him out?  On which page is this family curse that gave birth to him?  What brought him out from that Odyssey Pool, a nightmare amongst nightmares?”

Nox is now pacing directly in front of his unconscious victim talking to him directly, rhetorically, almost manic.

“But here you sit aching for an explanation, trying to find it deep within the pages of this journal.  Unaware of the secrets it hides deep within these pages.  Unaware that your monster is here within these pages and all I need is the right gas to bring him back to us.   That beautiful mayhem, that evil that lives within you Felix.  I have gasses that run the gambit of the color wheel and I will use them all to get to him.  To show you, his visage.”

Nox reaches into his suit, producing a blood-red vial, and his raspy chuckle is enough to make one’s blood run cold as he stares Felix down intently.

“So, this week Felix, you and I turn the final page to our story, and you will see him in my eyes.  Your innocence will shake when you breathe it in, as you will see the red of light that has tormented so many before you.  A light whose secrets…

Nox thumps the journal of Fernicus in his hand intently as Felix lies in front of him unaware.

“Are buried deep within these pages.  So once more, I will use your own… scissors.  To snip your strings because I’ve proven that we’re not equals and your first mistake was believing we were.  When you ever thought that Doom was ever your friend, ever your equal, ever someone who could care for someone like you.”

Felix’s eyes begin to flutter open and Nox silences and composes himself as Foley begins to come to.
