Changed.

In Colt Ramsey, Promo by Colt Ramsey

My quest for the truth has made me a changed man. Every picture taken, every story chased down…it’s shaped me in some fashion.

There was a time when I would’ve believed that change was for the better, as if my work was making an impact on Arcadia…but now? All I see is failure…and nobody likes a failure.

Progress can only truly be rewarded to those who succeed, after all. You can try and try again as much as you want, but trial and error does not reward the error. Such experimentation only reaps its biggest gain from the winning trial.

And what better experiment than the study of the mind? If you can figure out what changes the mind, you can mold it…shape it…exploit it for your own gain.

Imagine all the failures it would take to really crack that vault, to hold in your hand the ability to drastically shift someone’s mood, their behavior to your liking.

Imagine the harm you can inflict, sending someone down a path of darkness that they never wanted. Watching as they crash into the depths of their own psyche…and come out changed.

Damaged.

I know just the man who would go to such lows. A mad scientist who takes great pleasure in meddling with the mind, using trial and error to find what he wants…the key that unlocks the door of the mind.

And to steer them in whatever direction he wants, with no regard for their well-being…only for his own personal gain.

A man that could become an influence on the likes of Felix Foley, taking advantage of a man’s need for friends. Someone who could bend the will of a hero in Destructo Boy, corrupting his sense of right and wrong.

And don’t think I’ve forgotten what you did to me, DOOM. The meddling you did in my noggin, trying to keep secrets hidden from me…secrets I managed to recover on my own.

Because that’s what I do…I get to the bottom of it, and I find out the truth. In this case, a truth that was hiding in plain sight for far too long…my path of darkness is your doing.

But unlike Felix and Destructo, I am not at your beck and call. I don’t have to walk that path anymore…I can turn back.

I don’t have to become a failure…and I won’t. Not with something as big as the Sparta Cup on the line.

I see in front of me a chance to prove that I have changed, alright…for the better. Toppling DOOM, a heavy favorite in the eyes of many, is the shot in the arm I need.

Beating the World Ender means exposing your methods as flawed…because I will turn the whole experiment on its head. The change you tried to implement in me will prove to be your undoing, and I will make a changed man out of you.

You are free to ask if Colt Ramsey can beat you, Doom, and the answer will appear…true.
