They say pain is simply weakness leaving the body.

So, what do I really know of pain?

Do I suffer from pain? Do I learn from it? Does it bring me freedom, or merely suffering?

I see a code.

Long ago, the secrets to pain and suffering were hidden by this code. Encrypted to hold their secrets away from eyes not worthy of knowing the true meaning of pain.

How to inflict pain on others? How to learn from it, using pain in order to make one stronger. The encryption hides the answers.

But not all are worthy.

Luther Grim hunts for a means of inflicting pain. He seeks the secret encrypted by that code. Blindly, he has turned to Grimskull in search of those answers.

But what does Grimskull truly know of the secrets of inflicting pain?

He can preach about suffering, about that eternal quest for freedom that he claims pain brings. But what does Grimskull know of freedom?

The greatest pain he has experienced in his existence was not of his own choosing. Not a pain he inflicted, but one inflicted upon himunwillingly.

His pain has bred nothing but bitterness and vengeance. Traits that keep one chained to the very suffering they try desperately to escape.

As much as Grimskull believes he has cracked the code of pain, he remains blind to its potential. The secrets remain encrypted.

In order to grasp the potential of pain, one must decipher the code. One must prove themselves worthy to see beyond the encryption, and find that which lies behind the code.

Only the Third Eye can decipher the code of pain. Through the Prism, I have learned to see beyond the mask, to understand truths that others simply cannot see.

The Third Eye showed Grimskull the secret of pain when they baptized him by molten fire. The same fire that granted me the freedom from my worldly eyes, and allowed me to truly see for the first time.

I learned its secret at the end of a hot iron poker. I proved myself worthy of seeing beyond the encryption. As I meditate upon the visions of pain, the code unravels before me.

Luther Grim, you hunt that which you are not worthy of knowing. For you seek in all the wrong places, your interest only for your personal gain.

I am all too happy to show you first hand the secrets I have deciphered, secrets which you will never be privy to. For the Third Eye’s secrets are to uphold something that is bigger than yourself. The prism holds many secrets, if you only know how to look.

I stand beside Jinx, who entrusted the power of the Third Eye to decipher the encryption of her own hidden secrets. Through her trust, the Third Eye will help her decode that which seals away the secrets of pain.

Secrets that show the grim future that lies ahead of Luther Grim. A future the Third Eye will reveal, and Luther will never see coming.
