House of Cards

In Jash Khan, Promo by Jash Khan

As a young blud, I used to spend hours with my nanna, innit? There wasn’t much to do whilst mum was working, so we’d play games.

My dear old Nanna, bless her heart, sitting at her cozy kitchen table, a deck of cards spread out before her. We’d play a game of House of Cards, just the two of us, with her teaching me the art of patience, strategy, and precision. But tonight, my friends, tonight is no ordinary game night. Tonight, the cards are not made of paper; they are flesh and bone, sweat and determination.

In the ring, I see my opponents lined up like a towering house of cards, each one waiting to be toppled by the force of my will. They think they stand tall, they think they’re unbreakable. But they don’t know me. They don’t know Jash Khan.

I remember Nanna’s gentle voice, guiding me through the delicate process of building a house of cards. She taught me to take my time, to focus, to feel the delicate balance of each card as it nestled against the next. But tonight, there’s no time for delicacy. Tonight, it’s about raw power, about seizing the moment and making it your own.

With a roar that shakes the very foundation of the arena, I charge into the fray, fists clenched and eyes ablaze. The first opponent comes at me like a bull, all brute force and no finesse. But I sidestep his charge with the grace of a matador, sending him crashing into the ropes with a thunderous thud.

One by one, they come at me, each one more determined than the last. But I am the eye of the storm, the calm amidst the chaos. I weave and dodge, striking with precision and purpose, until the house of cards that once stood tall lies in ruins at my feet.

As the final opponent falls, defeated and broken, the crowd erupts into a deafening roar. I stand victorious in the center of the ring, my chest heaving with exertion and triumph. And in that moment, I can’t help but think of Nanna, sitting at her kitchen table with a smile on her face, proud of the man her little grandson has become.

For tonight, in the midst of Lambs to the Slaughter, I am not just a wrestler. I am a force of nature, a conqueror of giants, a master of the game. And as I bask in the adulation of the crowd, I know that no matter where life takes me, I will always carry with me the lessons learned from a humble game of House of Cards with my beloved Nanna.
