We open in Nox’s gas chamber as we wander through, we hear something most unexpected… riotous laughter. As the man himself comes into the shot we see a CRT TV, a VCR sits atop it, and the OSW NXT Level Championship displayed atop that. We see an episode of Foley’s Funhouse playing as Nox uses it as background noise as he works on a new concoction. As the laughter dies down Nox picks up a remote and, without looking hits a button, and the screen goes blue with a “stop” symbol appearing in the lower lefthand corner.
“He’s truly something, isn’t he? To be capable of bringing such joy without the use of nitrous. A façade of innocence and purity delivering so many smiles while always giving Arcadians something to smile about.”
Nox hits a button on the remote and the image reappears then “click” the pause symbol appears in the lower-left corner of the screen while we see a close-up of the ever-smiling Felix. Again, Nox hasn’t once looked up from his work.
“Look at that face, the outward appearance is that of a man who has not one care in the world. But what lies beneath? He’s a perpetual people pleaser, when does he deal with the fact that he had a father who mistreated him? Has a secret half-brother that he never knew about? When does he get to deal with that pain? What happens when he doesn’t deal with it?”
“Click” the play symbol appears and there’s a quick jump cut, and we hear the laughter and joy replaced by screams of terror as we see Damien Wolfe gasping for air with Scissors standing over his body. “Click” the pause symbol reappears and the terrifying visage of Scissors remains.
“This is what happens when he cannot deal with his pain. He morphs into something in so much pain he has to inflict that pain upon others.”
For the first time, Nox swivels around and he points at the screen with a scowl in his eyes.
“This week the Laughing Man will breathe deep and will get to see the visage of his family curse himself. Nothing his Bestie could’ve ever invented will be able to prevent the pain that’s coming for him. Because let’s get one thing straight, none of the Pool Boys are my equal. I will make him confront the other side of himself and what he’s done.”
Nox points emphatically at Scissors standing over the corpse of Wolfe.
“This week Friendly Felix Foley learns a lesson that “genius” Doom could never teach him. As I will snip the strings of the puppet master with his very own Scissors. I can only imagine what will happen when that innocent naïve man is forced to confront the horror he once was and is confronted with the fact, in the end, everything dies.”
