Myopia

In Dr. Death, Promo by Dr. Death

Have you ever seen someone with an open wound?

I’m talking a real nasty, festering eye sore that needs all kinds of treatment. Irrigation and debridement of the dead tissue to allow healthy tissue to proliferate. Applying antibiotics and ointments that promote healing at a faster rate than your body normally could on its own. And covering those wounds with bandages and adhesives that not only shield the exposed area from invading bacteria, but also shield others from seeing something so horrid or grotesque to prevent them from having a negative experience.

Or at least a negative experience in the eyes of those who may view it as such.

For when something such as an open wound is covered up it is only truly preventing what is true from being documented and celebrated as it is in its purest form.

It’s a form of censorship.

Arcadia is not a utopia. Problems abound within our world.

The Bleak is infested with hunger, disease, and poverty. The desperation is palpable along its pathways.

On the opposite end of the spectrum we have the Pantheon full of self-indulgent pricks whose gluttony for power and wealth knows no bounds.

In between those levels numerous other issues can be found on every level if you were so brave to experience them first-hand. See, that’s what our profession does: we observe, assess, diagnose, educate, and treat. It is our oath to practice this in good faith so that medicine and society as a whole can transcend to the next level, and it is these experiences that allow us to do so.

Doctors are natural fixers. Whether through means of surgery, medicine, non-invasive intervention, or teaching by word of mouth, we hold the key to transforming Arcadia into the best version of itself.

What I’m trying to say is that there isn’t one magical-size-fix that fits all problems, Chairman.

Based on my observations, your attempts to repeatedly censor everyone and everything you see makes you think you can solve every problem in order to fit your self-proclaimed utopian view of our world. So my assessment is that your vision may be distorting your thoughts.

My diagnosis for you is myopia.

You are too myopic to see beyond the surface where the intricacies of Arcadia lie beneath. You think censorship is the only treatment and ultimate solution to the problems you observe. Well, Boswick, unfortunately you are about to see, when the doc sees you at NXT Level 338, you’re wrong, and I have the perfect treatment plan that will put an end to your censorship rampage.

The doc’s ordering you up some red dye, and he’s gonna draw that up in a syringe then inject it into your irises. Then, when you start complaining like that big butch bitch who saves your ass all the time, he’s gonna staple a red bar into your pupils so that all you see from now on is that stupid red circle with a line through it.

Everything, in your eyes will be censored, and the deep wound in your visual nerve affecting your brain will be covered.

See you in the ring, Sebastian.
