“Don’t play with your food.”

“Gramma used to love tellin’ me that when I was a veal. She was a mean old bitch, but she had a point.”

“Kids ain’t very smart, they like to toy around, stick their hands on their plate and squeeze all the sweet meats til it balls in their hands.”

“As a boy, you don’t realize why she’s so adamant. Are ya annoyin’ her? Makin’ a mess?”

“All of the above. But the thing she hated most? When you play too much, you don’t eat your food.”

“You get all the joy of feelin’ it in your hands, feelin’ it squish in your fingers.”

“But by the time you finish, the meal is ruined. Blood an’ sauce coverin’ the table and nothin’ edible to show for it.”

“Now, the veal will grow outta that sooner or later.”

“Boy’s gotta eat.”

“Like gramma used to say.”

“If ya never learn top stop playin’ with your food you’ll never learn the joy of eatin’ it.”

“Now, Olympus is one big table, a fat fuckin’ feast of all the most delectable, exotic meats you can find in Arcadia just collectin’ right in front of ya ready to be shoved down your throat.”

“While I’ve pulled up a chair and enjoyed diggin’ my teeth into the meat in front of me, there’s a spoiled child sittin’ across from me.”

“Ain’t that right, Scissors?”

“I’ve seen you skulkin’ around the table with your stomach grumblin’. You wanna kill, you wanna feed that blood lust with some of the tasty morsels here in Olympus. You went reachin’ for Drexl, you had him in your hands.”

“But then you started to play with your food, didn’t you?”

“Yeah, you got your hands all up on him and instead of stuffin’ him in your mouth you just decided to play with him. Paraded him up and down the table, drippin’ sauce and blood as you had him in the palm of your fuckin’ hands.”

“But you refused to eat him like the child you are.”

“Couldn’t resist one more game, one more playful little joke.”

“When you finally got the chance to dig your blades into him? You found out the food had been ruined. Drexl was just a mess in your palms and your stomach was left empty as he put you down in the middle of the ring.”

“You didn’t eat, boy.”

“And now I gotta teach you some table manners.”

“See, gramma always threatened to eat me if I didn’t stop bein’ a brat and ruinin’ her meals.”

“And that’s just the lesson I gotta teach you.”

“We’re back at the table this week, boy.”

“But you’re on the menu.”

“I ain’t a child no more, Scissors. I ain’t a veal in the head like you.”

“Nah, I’m through playin’ with my food.”

“And you better believe that when that dinner bell rings?”

“There won’t be no games.”

“Just you, me, and my stomach as eat you alive.”

“It’s chow time, boy.”
