Club 75

In Promo by Edward Newton

“I’m a member of an exclusive Old School Wrestling club.”

Club 75 undefeated.

“It’s a beautiful club that is envied by competitor, fan, friend and foe alike. Everyone wants to come inside Club seventy five. It’s an extremely special club, reserved only for those wise enough to be able to get through the very front door.”

So, riddle me this…

“Three men wish to enter an extremely exclusive club, but they don’t know the password. For many years they observe the club, hoping to understand just exactly what they must do to gain entry. They watch as one man enters the club multiple times during this period. The man walks up to the door and the doorman says 12, the man says 6, and is let in. Another time, the man walks up and the doorman says 6, the man says 3, and is let in. Thinking the three men have figured it out, they walk up to the door and the doorman says 10, they say 5, and they aren’t let it. What should they have said? ”

“This exclusive club of mine is unlike any club you’ve ever seen and no-one but me is allowed in. Even if by some fortune they were, no-one else is even capable of entering. You see, this exclusive club is dedicated to those who’re undefeated in seventy five matches. That’s the pre-requisite for entry, you see.”

“Whilst DTR, Mike Lane and Marvellous Master Chef think they have the answer to the riddle, they don’t – they can’t, it’s simply not possible. None of them have ever been or will ever be capable of going undefeated for seventy five matches. I reigned victorious through Red Snow’s when bodies were falling all around me. I swatted away Invasion winners and their briefcases of doom like flies at every turn.”

“And with every victory, I added yet another win to my inevitable and enviable list of victories to become seventy five and zero.”

“To do that takes a level of intelligence and wisdom that neither of you three possess on your best day. Understanding and cracking the code of my riddle and entering the undefeated seventy five club is a task that none of you could ever figure out the answer to.”

“So, what should they have said to gain entry to the club?”

Three.

It’s the number of letters that make up the number in which the bouncer asks.

“Whilst you three look at the simplistic nature of life, thinking the answer of the number posited to you is half, I’m the one looking at the bigger picture and counting the letters that make up that number.”

I’m the one looking two steps ahead.”

I’m the one thinking outside of the box.

“And at Forever, when you come to try and gain your fame and glory, you’ll find out first hand that there’s a reason only I have ever or will ever enter that club. There’s a reason why you can’t beat me and enter yourself.”

“It’s because I’m the only one here undefeated in seventy five matches.”

“Simple, right?”

Just another teachable moment.
