The Arcadia Ripper

There’s a case that’s stored in my memory banks that resonates with me as I prepare for an upcoming fight. I’ve downloaded data of Arcadia’s biggest crimes, yet I’m still learning new things about this one as I speak.

It’s about the Arcadia Ripper. This man killed countless others without ever getting caught. Tens, nearly hundreds of people were slaughtered in brutal fashions for reasons unknown.

During most of his frenzy, people viewed him like a ghost. An untouchable entity that was able to murder without being seen or leaving a trail. At least, that’s what he wanted them to believe.

As cases began mounting up and his name started echoing throughout every level, he started to develop an ego of sorts. He left letters at the APD’s doorstep, taunting them for their inability to catch them.

He started acting far more brazen and reckless. While he continued to lobby insults, he left a trail of dropped weapons and bloodied footprints in his wake. This allowed the department to follow his trail and, eventually, take him in.

His need to meddle with the APD, and his inability to disappear into the shadows, was his downfall. When the spotlight lured him in, Arcadia’s most wanted was convicted and the case was closed.

Now a copycat killer is attempting to follow in his footsteps, unaware that history is due to repeat itself if he does.

You fancied yourself a ghost as well, don’t you Harold? You claimed to be a nobody as you assassinated tens, if not hundreds of lives in your wake.

For a while, you had everyone believing that you were, in fact, a phantom. Even as you were sentenced to Deathrow, not a single person outside of Zeus’s inner circle had a clue as to who you were.

But then you were released and found the calling of OSW too great to ignore. Following your arrival in this federation, you began to step out of the shadows and act more brazen with your attempts to take out those deemed a problem.

That’s when you began to get careless and targeted a member of the APD in the form of Jackson Cade. When you target an officer of the law, you’re targeting the entire department.

You torment the former Eagle by manipulating Benjamin Pegg into filing an official complaint. By doing so, however, you’ve placed yourself under a spotlight you don’t want to be under. That being the eyes of the department you’ve taken fifteen men from. A department ready to see you brought to justice once and for all.

Your meddling with us and your inability to simply disappear into the night will be your downfall. You had a chance to ignore the call of the limelight and not repeat history, but you instead chose the opposite.

We have deemed you a problem, Harold Attano. One that’s too great to ignore. The case of the copycat Ripper has reached my hands, and this case is about to meet it’s close.
