When I was a young boy my father took me into the city to see a marching band.
He said, “Son, when you grow up would you be the savior of the broken, the beaten, and the damned?”
He said, “Will you defeat them? Your demons, and all the non-believers, the plans that they have made?”
And from the cheering crowd my father and I watched the flute players, trumpeters, French hornsmen, and the drummers march by in their colorful uniforms playing their tune, one by one, until they had passed onto to the next village down the road.
And off my father went to war with them.
It was my last memory of my father; he would never return. When we received that news, I made a vow that I would be their savior, and will defeat them.
It was real cute seeing the three of you celebrate in the ring together when The Generation Kid emerged victorious from Lambs to the Slaughter.
Hearing the synth, guitar, and drums of “The Touch” as rainbow confetti streamed down above you and Starboy hoisted TGK up on your shoulders brought me back to that parade day when I was a boy.
As a collective, you three did it: you defeated your demons at Pandemonium and afforded your own a shot at the richest prize in professional wrestling.
TGK proved many skeptics wrong about whether a young boy had the gall to not only go the distance, but to overcome yours truly in the process.
His own personal demon.
Whom you nearly killed in the process, Vigour.
Well, now Vayikra is in control of your meal ticket, boys.
And me? I’m no longer that little boy watching the parade from the sidewalk.
I’m off to fight my own war: the war we made with my brothers in arms. This time we will be the ones showing off when TGK personally sees to you and Starboy’s repentance.
Vayikra is a four-piece band now, and we found a superstar frontman in TGK that will sell out stadiums world-wide.
And there’s nothing you can do about it, Vigour, because at Between Fuck and You, I’m taking you to Heritage Village, boy, and giving you a front row ticket to our concert.
We will paint this burning world black and take it back, and in Yahweh’s name we will shout it loud and clear—
We’ll carry on.
Yahweh— will carry on.
Go and try, Prince of Party. You’ll never break me, like I did to you.
Starboy? We shall beat the faith into him like a bass drum if we must.
Tonight, I will be your savior. Yahweh’s light will shine through TGK’s sermon, and through it all, the rise and fall, you non-believers will have been a witness to Vayikra’s true power.
After exorcising those demons out of you, you will be left a phantom.
And we shall lead you to Yahweh.
To join the Black Parade.
We want it all. We want to play this part.
Deus vult.
